BlackYakuzu94 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Its ok, we're all desperate for our guy to reclaim his former glory.
Moblin Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 LMFAO Mac, you are on a roll lately (oh how I miss you Extend days when Shippu was just a flat 4k in Mugen, dat 6D > Mugen > Shippu for unburstable 5.4k). We've had 2D > unburstable 7.5k since CP 1.0 though. Lol
Raziul Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Is Kaqn really playing Bullet now? Or did he go back to has glorious Ragna? Or did he just stop playing? I haven't followed him in a long while to be honest.
Raziul Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Oh I got the joke, but it reminded me of Kaqn.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I don't even know, he seems to have dropped Ragna for Celica because of god knows why.
IndigoNovember Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 We've had 2D > unburstable 7.5k since CP 1.0 though. Lol This is true XD . Is Kaqn really playing Bullet now? Or did he go back to has glorious Ragna? Or did he just stop playing? I haven't followed him in a long while to be honest. Kaqn played a lot of characters back in Extend. In CP1 he played Ragna, Terumi, Bullet, Hazama, and maybe more. But yeah, in CP2 he's been playing like only Celica. I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually started playing other characters again though given his track record.
Moblin Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I'm pretty sure once it comes out on consoles in JP there will be an overview of the optimal Mugen combos/confirms/situations soon after that. It's probably too difficult to grind out what the optimal Mugen combos are at the arcade cabinets when people just want to play.
mAc Chaos Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I'm going to have to put the CP2 combo thread together at some point. I have no idea what combos are even optimal right now.
Moblin Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Seems like you could take the old combo thread and just delete some combos /salty But then Mugen combos are gonna be hype
Raziul Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 CP2 is pretty much going to boil down to 2B > Gurren and Zan(2) > 6A > 6B unless you're in the corner it seems.
mAc Chaos Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 What will we be able to do with overdrive?Almost feels like I won't have to change how I play at all...
Moblin Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Congrats Mac, you survived BBCP1-1.1 without learning any of the combos and now it's come full circle. lmfao But yeah, OD is gonna be even better along with Mugen. So it's going to be a lot of trying to disrespect pressure and turtle until you can get a good confirm into OD. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtPFG-_5Ksk this is a really entertaining match between Haku and Tao in 2.0. When Hakumen won it was because he made a smart read into unburstable 5k - 8.5k. And if he didn't, he lost. Seems like how it will play out a lot unless you outskill your opponent by a large margin already.
mAc Chaos Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 looooooooool, this happens every time. I knew I just had to be patient. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Seriously though I'll still have to change around a lot because 3C won't work and counters got hit again. A lot of our hit confirms will be gone too which hurts more than combo loss. That actually affects neutral, not just damage. Although damage affects neutral too. This match: I'm shocked how little damage Tao is doing. And who is this Hakumen? He's barely scraping by with 1k 5A combos, but just looking at that pressure, it's the kind of pressure that would've mindfucked me. Up and down, every part of it could turn into a reset or a new low / high / throw. God. And he managed to make it through most of it. This guy was already outplaying this Tao a lot. Makes me wonder how you can survive the round that you don't have OD in, even if you make that smart read and win with OD in one round.
Raziul Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Don't forget that Hotaru got that proration buff. Might not be a bad idea to start converting random air hits into Hotaru and corner carry.
mAc Chaos Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Maybe the old CS2 combo would work. Renka (1) Kishuu 2C Hotaru IAD etc
IndigoNovember Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 And who is this Hakumen? Yukieru. His main is Ragna at the moment though.
Moblin Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Maybe the old CS2 combo would work. Renka (1) Kishuu 2C Hotaru IAD etc Not unless they are already knocked down by CH 3c or something, since Renka just staggers now. (Will renka be able to combo from CH 3c?) This match: I'm shocked how little damage Tao is doing. And who is this Hakumen? He's barely scraping by with 1k 5A combos, but just looking at that pressure, it's the kind of pressure that would've mindfucked me. Makes me wonder how you can survive the round that you don't have OD in, even if you make that smart read and win with OD in one round. It's less complicated than you think when Hakumen has a distortion counter that covers both highs and lows. It's a bit like blocking Rachel mixup, except there are holes. So after Hakumen gets 4 stars, it becomes a 50/50 between him catching Tao's mixup attempt and Tao baiting it out by either delaying a hit or throwing. An example of this is when Tao throws multiple yukikazes during the match. And then one time, the Haku actually read the throw and TK Hotaru'd for a combo, which was great as well. But my favorite part was when he started catching onto Tao's backrolls and 6c'd her out of the backroll --> Shippu to win the round. kreygasm
Moblin Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Can someone please explain this shit to me I really wish I knew you could do that to Tager's tech wheel before now. http://youtu.be/gH2NELOo7to?t=10m
Raziul Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 5B is OD cancelable. Looks like the guard point on Tager's start up caught the 5B and the Haku player went into OD and came out of the invincibility with Yuki. Pretty sure if the Tager player had done wake up 720, Haku player would have been toast though, since he wouldn't have been able to go into OD when his 5B whiffed.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 That shit was anime as fuck; does Yukikaze always hit regardless of Guard Point?
Schneider-X Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 You could do a similar thing with bursts and rapids in CT due to them being guard points in that version. Also I don't think a guard point will always lose to yukikaze as mu's dp will beat out yukikaze iirc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Moblin Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 True, the Tager was probably thinking Hakumen would use an aerial for a meaty. Either way, it's one of the more hype things I've seen in the latest batch of vids.
