My group leader Lil Majin is the best Chipp player so far he only has to bet Kensou to prove it kensou make chipp i dont think yo boy will be him no dis respect. btw i play sol too in the P.c color

Tiamat Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I like Champ's Sol. I think Kensou Sol is quite good except he drops every single sidewinder combo. It looks almost as if he hasn't practiced at all with Sol in AC. Other than that though really good, but combos are a big deal. I'm sure he could fix that problem quickly if he wanted though, and Sol isn't his main anyways so I'd cut him more slack for dropping combos like heavy luggage than ppl who main Sol.

Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 It's important to hit your combos every time but I prefer to see a Sol that can demonstrate good fundamentals which Kensou has in spades. Though I have to admit seeing him play Buckethead and airdashing so much was surprising. But again, this is a guy who doesn't even main Sol. Anyway, here's some matches of myself playing Sol. It seems like it would be a really bad idea considering how many ways there are to potentially counter it, but when you have an opponent who is constantly trying to escape your pressure with backdashes and by jumping away, sometimes taking the risk can pay off. In general, it's risky. If you have meter, you could really just GF FRC every time and even if they jump away, you're not putting yourself into a position to be hurt. Sometimes though, it pays to save your meter and possibly get a knockdown to get in a better position to pressure. Champion's Sol seems pretty decent.

I really hated the japanese version even though you did a little more damage. And bandit revolver from max range is safe even if IBed. I think it can only be punished by Sol's 5K if IBed. From close range is obviously a free throw. :P From the vids I've seen here, I must say A.M.K/Koichi>all's Sol is the best. You really did a nice job in your vids, especially in the newer ones. Other Sols aren't bad either. I kinda liked ShinBlade's Sol too.

From close range is obviously a free throw. :P The problem isn't if it's blocked, the problem is if they interrupt it with a 6P/invincible move/airthrow. That's why there is risk associated as these interrupts can often be done on reaction.
