Matchup Forum

There should be one forum dedicated to matchups instead of every character forum having its own subforum for matchups. Having two threads in two different places about the same topic but with different information in them seems inefficient and unhelpful.

it's 2 threads for the same topic because quite frankly it's about 2 different things for 2 very different audiences.

i don't know what's so unhelpful about splitting up the info between stuff for each side of the matchup.

interesting idea though, i'll think about it.

I actually like having both sides sometimes..

It's like observing the matchup from that chars' point of view.

But it's true that more relevant/reliable info could be spread back and forth if players for both characters came to the same thread...

It should be like a matchups link.

With 2 drop down boxes.

Char A and Char B.

Fill 'em in, and it redirects you to that thread.

This is basically what I was thinking about. A person that mains a character is probably the best person to get information from about that character, especially when it comes to what will beat them in a match.

The other thing is, I can't imagine too many people go to the character forums for the characters that aren't their mains. Unhelpful was the wrong word. Underdeveloped is probably a better choice. The matchup threads could definitely be a lot more than they currently are. I think having one forum just for matchups would make it easier for people to stay up on the matchups, and give some prominence on the discussions, which in turn encourages people to post.

so why not just go to the other character subforum? that's what i've always done -- open thread, search "Baiken", see what comes up. i can't say it felt inefficient or underdeveloped, but maybe that's just me.
