Greetings Dustloop,

My name is Niko Geyer, and I'm a freelance illustrator from Germany. I'm also a long-time lurker (and occasional poster) here on Dustloop. BlazBlue has been one of my favorite games ever since the US release of Calamity Trigger, and even though I don't have nearly enough time between work and honing my button mashing skills, I want to start expressing some of that love with fan art.

This thread is intended to collect my BlazBlue (and maybe Guilty Gear) related works in one handy spot for my fellow ASW enthusiasts. I'll be updating sporadically as I draw new pictures.

I've posted this image before, but since it's buried deep in the old fan art thread, I decided to include it in here. Carl and Kokonoe are my two favorite characters in the BlazBlue setting (though Platinum is a real contender), so it seems only natural I would draw them first.

Last time it spawned a Carl x Kokonoe discussion -- even if that concept was not my intent, I'm proud (?) to say this is most likely the only illustration of that particular pairing in existence.

Tao is Taokaka! I love the character designs of the Kaka Clan, especially the kittens. Only the Japanese could make a black ball with two dots for eyes and lots of teeth look so cute.

I've got quite a few images mapped out already, but don't hesitate to share any interesting ideas you have -- I might just end up drawing it. The ideas floating around in my head right now include:

• The NOL girls having a day off
  
• Team Vigilante (Bang, Carl, and Taokaka)
  
• Crossover: Noel meets Bridget
  
• Platinum on her sparkly pony
  
• Tea party with Rachel and Valkenhayn
  

Please keep in mind that this is not a request thread. I'm only looking for ideas that would make for an interesting illustration (e.g. character interaction or something that tells a little story and gives some insight in the character's personality). I definitely don't care for characters just standing around, looking pretty.

It's a cute picture but I don't think they would make a very good pairing in canon seeing as how

Kokonoe helped Relius turn Carl's mom into a doll. I doubt Carl would be very forgiving of her.

I hope to come back here with new content semi-regularly, which will probably translate to no more than once per month... The problem is that every hour of drawing fan art is free time I could instead be spending on actually playing the game!

Maybe I can just post some quick doodles as filler material now and then. We'll see.

I'd love to, but my connection is only mediocre at best even to fellow Europeans (I'm happy when I get an orange/2-bar ping), so that may indeed be a bad idea...

Don't stress to be a regular, I feel bad when I don't upheld to requests because I get so easily distracted/caught up in things. But I mean,it can't be helped, do it on your own time! besides, it looks like you spend more time into your stuff as well @_@

The Tao and Kaka-kitties image is really adorable. I love seeing the painter-ly style, and it just adds a really warm feeling to the piece!

I would totally love seeing any of these but these in particular. Mostly cause both Bridget and Platinum are awesome and I think that the Rachel and Valkenhayn one could have a staggering amount of detail in it
