A.X.I.S. Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Giving up pressure with 6D -> Jump barrier is a great way for Ragna to lose all his momentum and die against people who know what they're doing. 6D>j.D only sucks on IB...well unless you have a DP your not gonna DP anything with 6D before it. Anyways Luna please change C-Satsuki in my description to Satsuki, I am gonna use all the moons. Yes I love ever part of her, even the less desired parts, and the deeper I go the more crazy I get.
HiagoX Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 The main point I was trying to make was to stop doing stupid/risky things when you shouldn't in the first place. You shouldn't try stagger pressure for too long, especially if your normals aren't that great in comparison to the rest of the cast's normals. It's better to try actual mixup instead of continuing block strings that aren't going anywhere in the first place. You have them blocking at first, so why not go for an overhead or throw instead of asking to be hit..? lol noel lol mixups
The Katz Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 6D is relatively safe in pressure, actually, if being a follow up to normals like 5B>5C. If it's blocked, gatling into j.D and then jump-cancelling that makes it almost completely nonpunishable. 6D is slow. 5B and 5C have little block stun. That, and what Proto said.
The Katz Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 6D>j.D only sucks on IB...well unless you have a DP your not gonna DP anything with 6D before it. You obviously haven't been hit out of 6D with a normal from every character in the game.
LunaKage Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 lol noel lol mixups Exactly Noel's greatest Mix-up outside of drive is: 6B for an overhead 2B or 3C for a low. I use 2B all the time so that's not suspect here. 6B is one of the slowest overheads in the game, the only ones that are slower are Rachels and I think Arakune's, I get poked out of my overhead so often its insane, and the only time it works on people are if they are free(Katz, Lumin) or if it is netplay(Katz, Everybody else). 3C if blocked is punishable as hell. Now, lets assume that my opponent didn't poke out, but instead blocked my overhead, what are my options? 3C Drive OH WELL LOOK WHAT WE HAVE HERE! no safe options after a blocked overhead, I can't 6B > 3C > jump cancel like Ragna can, I can't continue pressure, I can only get fucked.
A.X.I.S. Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) You obviously haven't been hit out of 6D with a normal from every character in the game. I don't use 6D much so no I wouldn't get hit by every normal. Also its not that 5B and 5C have very little hit stun its just that IB is stupid strong in this game. 2B and 2C has very little histun. I can actually 360A 2B>5C without IB. edit: noels 6b is 24F it is not that slow. Edited December 9, 2010 by A.X.I.S.
Mr. Kimura Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 About MM does anyone know about some decent hotels that don't cost a fortune? I'm talking with Unsanct about rooming and kinda need to know.
LunaKage Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 24 frames is faster than 1 second yes, but I'm still pretty sure its one of the slowest in the game, even I can react to it, and I'm American. The point I was making, is that its just as risky as everything else she has to do, because its only good if it hits, on block it leaves me just as fucked as anything else I can do.

To my knowledge, there's a distinct lack of punishing a blocked 6B in the first place without instant blocking. I might be wrong, but most characters I've tested can't punish her on normal block.

koun Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I usually go with Jin, his hitbox is perfectly average, he can be haida looped and everything. no its gay...really gay.
Prototype909 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Her 6B is -4, the same as Hell's Fang on regular block.

Toasty Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Her 6B is -4, the same as Hell's Fang on regular block. Just in case you don't believe Proto: http://dustloop.com/guides/bbcs/frameData/noel.html Yeah, safe.
LuminAbyss Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Bullshit Hell's Fang when blocked is safe. Bullshit. Fuck frame data.
Prototype909 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Bullshit Hell's Fang when blocked is safe. Bullshit. Fuck frame data. It means that if you block, you're safe. If you try to do Hell's Fang on block -> 2A, you're fucked if they try to retaliate.

You aren't getting hit, so it isn't stupid to use if it's safe. And unless you're playing scrubs all day, I don't see that many people mash for their life when they see an overhead. That's like saying it's stupid to 6B 3C > jump back + Barrier with ragna to be safe to avoid dps and whatnot.

I don't know, I've been stuffed out even when trying to block after Hell's Fang. It's just not safe on block at all. I guess I'm just not fast enough. /stayingfree

OK, so I use 6B, its blocked, I jump back, I now have to find a way to get my opponent back into pressure. Why am I even talking about this with you guys? You guys play good characters.

Toasty Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 So how's your Hazama and Valk leveling up going? Feels good man. And by that, I mean I played HnK all day with a little bit of GG on the side.
