huey253 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 hey, you could always play bang like he wasn't braindead. it was just easier to not do it in cs.
KayEff Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 CT combos in CS automatically makes you respectable lololol
huey253 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 its true, i feel great knowing i can beat up dacidbro with CT combos. and he is THE BANG MESSIAH! :3
zdravkelja Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 So, finnaly more frkz action Is it Nezu?! Half hour of Bang rape. Lost only two rounds when in frkz, and I'm not sure I should include the second. This is how Bang should be played.
Skye Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Exactly, if you guys used FRKZ effectively, Bang could be going A tier easy.
zeth07 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Is there like a combo thread for CS2 stuff? You mean like the first post of this thread? And I think someone else posted a list of combos but I don't know if they ever got added to the list. I've been slowly working on a list myself as well.
Skye Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 *shrug* I figured those were just opening notes for an introduction into the world of CS2 Bang. A thread dedicated to combos seem to be better structured in organizing and gathering information from what I've previously seen, but yo, let the mods do what they please.

A thread dedicated to combos seem to be better structured in organizing and gathering information from what I've previously seen, but yo, let the mods do what they please. Obviously if you looked through this thread you'd realize people have been posting combos. Whether or not the first post has been kept up to date is another story. Besides mentioning the moves changes, this is basically the CS2 combo thread. We can't control the 1st post getting updated with everything that's been posted. So even if the thread was "CS2 Combo Thread", we could post a ton of combos, and still it wouldn't be any different than this thread if the list isn't updated. By all means if you plan to play Bang, why don't you take it upon yourself to help and do a combo list for everything that's been posted in this thread or every combo you've seen in videos? Like so: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?8211-BB-CS-Forbidden-Ninpo-Combo-Thread Nothing stopping you right?
DaiAndOh Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Well when CS2 is going to be available anywhere other than Texas and me and the others can actually do something with the game, there will obviously be a more organized discussion. The game is also changing too much for any stability. If some Japan Bang/Kenneth/other Texan with the game can contribute then I can get some more info up early.

At the very least the combos would be easier to browse through if that's where you're getting. I'm not a regular here, so I don't know how shit rolls, so I won't use any initiative on my end. Catching your implications, I already looked at the CS1 combo thread, I'm trying not to get into too many 623b habits, because -as I mentioned earlier- I want to get into him for CS2, for now I'm just working on Bang fundamentals/movements/etc.

rei-Scarred Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 New Bang is disappointing... FRKZ isnt fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGjkQTiWhe4t=15m
zdravkelja Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) Yes, it is. Frkz combos are now more varying, earlier it was always j.4Cs. They still do that but like in CS. Btw, do daifunka and other super in frkz deal more damage? Edited February 28, 2011 by zdravkelja
rei-Scarred Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 There is still one FRKZ combo. 2C 5C 6D 2D 6C j4C jD 2B loop. Midscreen or corner this is literally the only combo Nezu(?) used for an hour+. CS1 had more variation. I just don't like the concept of a character that does 2 combos then gains extremely gimmicky mobility and touch of death. Lame.
Skye Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 There is possibly more combos out there to learn, this is just the first. I personally wanted to see how was Nezu going to keep the combo going, it seemed they always died by the 2b > j.4c at the latest. There's always the choice of not going FRKZ, but then it seems like you're holding yourself back.
rei-Scarred Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Imo if you want to win you don't have a choice. You need to use FRKZ. If you don't want to main FRKZ Bang then maining Bang is silly now. Glad I found a character I like more anyway. Bang will be fun to troll with.
Kensou Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Hello fellow Bang players, after spending a week with Bang in CS2 all I can say is...Bang might as well be back to CT status...I'm sure you guys have seen vids and can see he's not as strong this time around. But I PERSONALLY feel Bang isnt all that viable. Playing him now means you really love the character, and he takes alot of work and technical skill that the best way to explain him now is...high risk/low reward. I'd like to write a full article about him but I haven't finished my notes I'd like to push right now so I'll be jotting down some more notes before I write this large thing out *or however big it gets when its done*. For the record, FRKZ still doesn't make Bang any better, it just means mid screen dmg.
Skye Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 So the mobility, mix up and consistent 4k midscreen doesn't make him better?

Thanks for dropping in. So the mobility, mix up and consistent 4k midscreen doesn't make him better? We'll see if Kensou says anything more. He's been a fairly strong BB and fg player in general and I value his opinion as he has been playing Bang for quite a long while. That said it's still not that much a time. But it's hear something directly from a players mouth than going around bbs posts in Japanese.
Skye Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I'm not doubting his input, after all, straight up, he has played the game and I haven't. I'm just trying to make sense of it, FRKZ has always been Bang's deus ex machina, why doesn't it help him now, especially since he's "back to CT status"?

Nah, it really hasn't, except against Tager / Hakumen. Even then, it's still arguable just how useful/needed it is. By no means was it ever a "win button", except against Tager 90% of the time. It's just something extra that let's him do crazy stuff. Using FRKZ isn't like it automatically becomes Bangs advantage in a match. And before you say "people just need to learn to use it", Nezu used it a hell of a lot in CS and I didn't see him win SBO with it. Satoshi who played the most cut and dry Bang out of anybody got 2nd with his team.

zeth07 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 i would like to disagree with this.... So you think it's a good idea to use FRKZ against Arakune and Litchi for example in terms of the match-up, not the players playing?
