Milln Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 You all seem to have develope quite a bit of hype since my last viewing of this thread. As for me I haven't been able to decide whether to enter this thing as Noel again (and most likely lose) or if I should go to the squirrely side. My gut is saying Noel, but I really want to try Makoto out at this. In the end, i'll just have to leave it up to the fate. Play both.
Grimstar Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Makoto is like crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon shit man, do it.. no one knows what she's capable of... not even Midnight
LastStarSaviour Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 I just might. In other news I turn 17 today, GET HYPE!!!!
Milln Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 Happy Birthdayyyyyyyyyyyy! Your present is playing BlazBlue with me while i'm at THIRTY-FIVE PERCENT BACK IN PRACTICE. Rahahahahahahahaaa!! WAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAAA *Jin laugh combined with Hazama laugh*
Top_Cat Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 That's a good question. On the one hand, I could award seeding to the top 8 from last MTN~ and give you guys easy matches. On the other, we'll have lots of new people that are joining that may be of varying strengths, in addition to people that may not show up from last time. I think i'll do another random seed and keep logging results, doing a skill seed third or fourth tournament. I'm open to otherwise if you can provide a convincing argument. For the new people who are coming, if they've attended any other tournaments within the past few months and placed high, you could base their seeding off of that, and if they haven't, they would have gotten worst seeding anyway.

Suppose I don't -know- who they are until it's the day of so I can't do research if they've been to other tournaments since i'm unfamiliar with them. I also don't know if their alias for BlazBlue or dustloop is the same for ones they use for their tournaments.
Seiki Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Last tournament was too small to seed top 8. It would work out if Milln seeded top 4? (no bias just saying).
Jackie Chandler Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Last tournament was too small to seed top 8. It would work out if Milln seeded top 4? (no bias just saying). I agree with this notion (with, admittedly, a little bias).
Milln Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 Why should I seed only you four high against twenty others with unpredictable skill levels? I'm leaning towards randoming this one and seeding next one.
Astaroth136 Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) Midnight, you're not scared of getting eliminated early, are you? EDIT And my opinion on the seeding thing: Everyone has an equal shot at getting a good or bad bracket. Just let it be random this time around, and maybe we can consider it later. Jackie Chandler Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Midnight, you're not scared of getting eliminated early, are you? Psh. I am. XD
Seiki Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 I just hope top 4 from last tournament don't eat each other up in the first round. Wouldn't make for hype grand finals.
Milln Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 I just hope top 4 from last tournament don't eat each other up in the first round. Wouldn't make for hype grand finals. I can prevent at least that. *thumbs up* Hey, I just checked and it looks like we have 139 posts counting this one and we're nearly always at the top of Event Announcements. It makes me happy and a little proud. =D

Alphakami Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 As for seeding, whatever Milln does is fine with me, he does a great job holding shit down. We (fuck that, Kyle) will be hosting in a nearby hotel Saturday night after the event. Expect lots of BB and I'll have a GGXXAC setup as well, we should have 2 BB setups and 1 PS2 w/ Gear, and everyone is welcome to come. We will be recording matches and partying and playing games all night, so if you are aren't BB'ed out, plan on it. Also, LSS, play both, don't be scarred.
Milln Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 I'd love to go to that, but I probably will actually have to book it to Alabama after IHOP/Steak N' Shake. Thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate it and it helps me continue to do these.
Grimstar Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 it's the hat bro, THE HAT GIVES YOU TOURNEY SET UP POWAAAA!!!!
Milln Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 It -is- a very prominently powerful accessory. I don't even know where it came from. Literally, my first memory of it is spilling red koolaid all over it. After that, i've been wearing it and it gives me super powers! I'd make a Nox Nyctores or Noel comment, but I'll abstain at the risk of being associated with fanboyism or weeaboos. Especially since this hat showed up far before BlazBlue.

Play BB all night long and learn GG:AC in the same night?! Hell yes!
Cyner Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Is there housing available for friday night? three hours and thirty seven minutes is a long drive.
Milln Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) You can stay in my hat. I'll ask Yoshi and KO for you, but just in case they are unable, you should ask Grimstar. I'd house you myself, but i'm not going to be at my residence after the tournament since i'll have to make a similar length drive. Edited January 12, 2011 by Milln
Cyner Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 well... doesn't matter much now... just found out I can't go >_> I'll still be harassing you guys for game info and stuff
