Well well well, if you guys want an offline venue to satiate the effects of THE GREAT 2 WEEKS NIPPON OFFLINE PLAY PURGE OF MONTREAL AFGC, turns out a new venue opened up and we could show up for some offline play.

Important information:

It's next to station Frontenac (Which may be a bit far for some)
6$ per evening, 25$ a month
Weekday 6pm to 0h00
Weekend 2pm to 1am
If we let them know ahead of time they could guarantee three monitors on weekdays (or more if less attendance that day)
I told the guy we'd bring our own games / consoles, but they have monitors
Food is accepted inside? Anyhow there is a GREAT pizza joint a block away. My roommate lived there

I'd go check the place out this week or weekend and get some local BB / Koihime / Neo turf masters action.

Well, I don't know their attendance rate on a friday, but if you can settle for maybe one or two setups for a game. It'd be a pretty big king of the hill thing. While if we go on a weekday, that conflict has little to no chance of existing

I don't mind either way, worst case some of us play SF5 a bit. Boohoo /sarcasm

Oh boy, that's a lot farther than I thought it would be. Though it's still worth checking out. Best case scenario we have a new home for UMAD

Pour le offline,ca pourrait être interessant d'essayer une nouvelle place pour l'instant. Moi je pourrais y aller vendredi ou dimanche soir.

Vendredi serait cool, même journée qu'à l'habitude. C'est vraiment juste la garantie de pas avoir de setups pour les players qui m'inquiète. Au moins il y a de l'espace, je pourrais toujours trainer un full setup dans le pire des cas

Console minimum, la place a les écrans, mais je doute qu'elle traine les jeux qu'on joue

EDIT: En fait je vais demander si plus de setups est permissible pour la venue

I'm actually up to tryout the place this up coming friday for sure too. in any case i can maybe bring my PS3 if anycase but we already have enough setup maybe.

After talking with MVA, we can go friday. There's no reservation for us or anything like that, open doors, but at the same time MVA did move to sunday the first of a weekly gathering for Rocket League he was planning to host friday. I think if you can make an extra effort to check the place out friday, it'd be a good time.

If you want to make sure your game is available, bring your console. But they do have PCs with SFV and other games like Melee. I doubt it's necessary to bring monitors though.

Meetup friday at MVA again?

Also, discussing entry fees for a bit, its probably better that we just pay daily fees rather than the monthly fees if we are to continue going. Theres always the: "oh gee i might not go every single day, maybe ill go once a week" and at that youd be paying less (assuming there would be 4 full weeks in the month)

That being said they really seem to want this place to succeed so id like to support them in that. (and as im always saying at the first opportunity, a new UMAD venue would be nice)

I'm down. Monthly fee would be worth it if some of us want to start using the place more loosely. I mean for instance I was talking to Mawari on sankishin and he mentionned he's not available this particular friday but would be sunday. We didn't do it that often when we were at foonzo, but I can remember two-three people saying "Foonzo tonight?" out of the blue for a smaller improvised meetup. Not being constrained by PEOPLE LIVING AT THE VENUE can make that 25 a month worth it.

One step at a time though. Work out the details and how to better do this thing. J-F was also telling me stuff like SF players showing up randomly unannounced on weekdays even if they were alone and that's how I learned Stephane (Kiras) would teach him Ken stuff.

That being said I'd also go sunday because I'll be bored. Worst case OVERWATCH CREW ASSEMBLE!
