I'll check at my place tonight, don't think I'd have taken yours by accident, but you never know. I'll lend you guys some money for foonzo food if you guys show up, I'll just add it to what you guys already owe me. (it's around 15-20$, for gas and two suppers) Nini you should walk to Foonzo if you don't have a pass, it's not that far. I want this week's tourney to be a success so we keep doing them.

Maybe because I was in and out all of the time so I must've missed a few posts. But I didn't know you guys were planning on running a tourney. Nini, would you be able to upload a game that was recorded with your setup (or link me something that was already recorded with it) so I can check if it's satisfying? Does your laptop have a mic? Because I was thinking we'd do the commentary like at the Easter tourney (record both the video and commentary separately but at the same time on the same computer). The only problem is the quality was too high, so it takes a lot of time to split videos and tone it down to make it uploadable on youtube. 2 hour file was 28 GB lol. I think it can record audio too, haven't really checked if it had a mic or not

Last time I tried no one felt like bringing themselves to the Netchamp so it died and I stopped caring : ( Francis and I are thinking of joining up the meet-ups again if they still be happening. But honestly, I'm confused about where and when all this is taking place now. The first post makes no sense and seems to detail the locations of two different venues, both called Foonzo; one on Drummond, and one on De Gaspé. Which one is it? pochp Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I don't think I know you, there must be many people that go by Pedro here... but then again maybe I know you... but anyways, the place on De Gaspé closed down a few weeks ago, so now we go to the place on drummond. We've been meeting up consistently twice a week, on thursdays and sundays, and really often on tuesdays, and whenever else people want to. We just post here "I'm going to foonzo tonight is anyone else coming?" and usually someone says something. Foonzo is a pretty nice place, it's a cafe with TVs and consoles, so we bring our consoles (for cs2 lol) and sticks, but they also have many xbox-arcade-cab-setups. You could also remove the link to the monthly tournament thread, we haven't had one in forever, but I hope we'll be running weekly tournaments from now on.

I was so psyched to learn the weeklies were taking place WALKING DISTANCE from Ubisoft! What rotten timing. :x Pedro is kr3wman btw, unless I forgot his real name, but it's hard to forget such a hard hitting name :D I main Platinum with a side dish of Jin when I want to change things up. My chars just have to have cars of some sort. I'm really bad though, so it doesn't matter even if I have the best match-up! As for Francis, he goes for Hakumen, Litchi or Tager. I think we have a good variety of player skill level, you can usually find someone to play with no matter how good or bad you are. We bring our own consoles and controllers, and often when someone brings a console they bring enough controllers for others. We usually bring some PS3s and an Xbox, I think we still have a mostly ps3 pad players.

Yes there are both controllers and sticks available from both us and Foonzo. I'm a pad player. The BB scene is mixed with both types, no worries. But bring your own remote, both a ps2 and a ps3 remote if possible. Mainly PS3 or Xbox? There are a lot of xbox's but some of us bring our ps3's the meets, since there are a lot of ps3 pad warriors. What about fees? There is no official entrance fee, but the way Foonzo works is that buying their food/drinks covers for an unofficial entrance fee which keeps the place running. Website doesn't seem to mention any o.o If you have any further questions come here to post them and one of us will answer you. Add a 25$ venue fee, 10$ tournament fees, around 20$ for gas, and let's say 50$ of food, so something around 160$. The thing is we'd be 6, so I'll have to get in touch with MTLSF to see if they have room in one of their cars, because 6 just doesn't fit (I'd ask steb if he doesn't mind, he's more familiar with them), but then again people sometimes end up choking so we'll see.

Guess I'll ask Francis to take care of the PS controllers; I only have the special D-Pad Xbox controller. It cost a fortune, but being able to pull off distortion drives on command instead of just jumping straight up was worth the price. No dice for the tourney this week as I have a Fantasia movie that night, but I'll drop a word to Francis.
