T_T *Sighs*

Alright then, guess i'll have to trust you on this one. If Street Fighter will really help me improve with Noel, then i'll take the leap of faith and start playing it again. Can you bring a copy of it to next MTN? Also i'll need some help remembering a few things so you mind helping me?

I'm sorry, but this just sounds stupid to me. "To get better at Blazblue, I need to play Street Fighter." No, that's not how it works at all. You know why Tokido wins? He's been playing fg's competitively for years. He's an extremely smart person. He tier whores in games he doesn't play. His fundamentals are through the roof.

You wanna get good at BB? Then actually play BB. From what I've read, most of the top American BB players either hate SF or aren't very good at it. Practice things like pokes at max range, punishes, and blocking (yes, using the record function) in training, then get tons of matchup experience. I think you do lack fundamentals Star, but I don't think picking up SF will help your BB game at all.

SF is basically just solid fundamentals and poking. So practicing that can help in other fighters to a degree, it's just more oriented around it than BB is, so you have to pay more attention to it.

Disgaea 4.... Nippon Ichi, you have me back to experience your manly fancy.

I will say that the VA sold it to me, though. Is that Patrick Seitz(Ragna) or Travis whatshisname(Mustang)? Caaauuuusssseee it sounds like Patrick's Ragna.

I wasn't planning to pick it up from the beginning, yeah I do lack fundamentals but that's just from me trying to land high damaging combos almost every time I press a button knowing that it won't happen. Was going to lawlz the SF thing seeing as I don't like it and if he had actually brought it I might've sat down and had a match or rwo. I doubt I can honestly get any better to be honest, but it never hurts to try.

Like Billy said SF is mainly fundamentals. It is mainly the skeletal framework of any fighting game and is why top players from any fighting game can do extremely well in it. i.e. Fuudo won evo and he is from virtua fighter background, Latif got second and he is from a guilty gear back ground, and Poongko got third and he's from a Tekken background. Justin wong is from marvel, gamerbee is from tekken, etc etc.

It's alot easier to get better at your fundamentals when those are the only things being challenged and that is what SF is. I'm not saying for Star to do it just to get better at blazblue but his general skill in fighting games would vastly improve if he did play SF because it strips away all those specific layers of blazblue, like airdashing, barrier, guard primers, etc. that gets in the way of learning fundamentals. After playing SF he can then take his knowledge from that game and apply it to Blazblue.

So it's more like "To get better at fighting games, I can play SF"

I never finished 2... 3's storyline sucked ass, but the gameplay is good so I'm still playing it.

4 is looking like it may have a chance to stand up to 1. As long as it has the charm to it that the first one did.

One was always the best for me. I must have bought it + it's remakes at least three times. Hour of darkness has always been fascinating and I absolutely love Flonne.

I hope 4 can stand up, too. The specials look manlyflashy. Hopefully it's got dat charm. It needs more evil laugh battles.

As much as I hate to agree with Naimat, gonna have to agree with him. Even before, when I hated SSF4, and also now, where I actually do kinda enjoy it, I definitely find myself improving as a whole. The concepts exist in both SF and BB, however, SF tends to have a bigger emphasis on poking, footsies, and things like that. Playing alot of SF and then going to BB, I noticed a difference in my abilities, playstyle, and mindset.

also sf is da best cuz i haz ryu

Fatchu????? :) :) :)

There will be no fourth-place prize of Fatchu Hug. I will absolutely not have it.

That being said, Fatchu&co is absolutely more than welcome to show up.

Speaking of which, Melee players will be pleased to know Melee tournament is going down on August 27th.

Okay, so I've been up trying to finish some of this editing, and I've got most of it done now. Commentary's such a bitch to deal with, though Mr. Pickle with a side of Star make it tolerable. I've slapped an Ethernet cord in my computer and I'm going to give uploading one my try with it in, but I don't expect much. If they fail again like they always have before, I'll get the edited videos to Milln for him to upload after this coming MTN. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Breaking News, TWO DAY BEFORE THE TOURNEY.

Cover is dropped to 3 dollars per person instead of 10 (hype as FAWK) but the limitation is we must play inside the arcade with 4 setups. (one being the Vewlix) I don't forsee this hampering the tournament's progess, it'll just be a little more cramped than you all are used to by now. IT'LL BE LIKE OLD TIMES, MAN. MTN1 ALL THE WAY

No worries sir, the fatchu hug was a creation of smash so therefore it is no longer with me, that being said I cant come this weekend but however whenever your

next on is I will gladly show up.

August 27th, brosauce. Even has summadat Melee along with the BlazBlue and Marvel! Eager to see you!

That said, Blazblue does have strong American players, but the problem is that they're too spread out to actually play against each other. The best Tagers are in MI and TX, Carl is in CA and GA, Valk is in FL, Ragna is in TX, Makoto is wherever Omni is, and the rest... I'm not really sure. Since the netplay is crappy, they can't get experience without awful lag.

Best Carl player is in GA (Ivysaur>>>>Zong). I'm pretty sure that Spark lives in Washington, Lord Knight lives in New Jersey, Omnisscythe lives in New York, XDest (best Taokaka I've seen) lives in Canada. Oh yeah, and the best Tsubaki is in GA =D I try to offset the horrible locations of players with learning many characters in training mode, so I don't have to figure out match-ups on the fly.

also seiki, if you're going even against Stickbug then you are playing against Stickbug. You'll know you're playing Lord Knight if he's using Litchi/Taokaka and stomping the crap out of you. He sure does to me.

Milln: The tournament is on Friday? Definitely can't go because of work.

Aw shit, I'm at work and it still feels like Wednesday to me :v:

I'll considering dropping by if I have nothing to do this saturday. If I do then I'll definitely plan to come to the next one.
