I've gone thru it many times, sadly, so I really do understand where you are coming from. Seasons Beating would have been fun for us, and really good for you. Shame it can't happen. I got my PS3 back, so we can get some games in sometime if you feel like it. You didn't offend me, or anyone I think, so no need to lay low unless you just need too. All good in the MTN hood, as it were. I didn't think about college finals. I like the 9th weekend better, or it could be pushed back to the 17th weekend. Whatever works for the group. I'll be leaving the country for a few weeks around Christmas and New Years, so I wanted to get everyone their present early. Nickleback is awesome, trollface.jpg.

There shall be two versions- one to fit the criteria for Dustloop, and another that will serve as a full community video. The former will likely be a simple interview, with the latter touching on the community (you guys) itself, as well as hype moments and whatnot. Considering other communities have done the same thing, it shouldn't be a problem. Thoughts?

These were all people who were passionate about the game and were great. I've always wanted to test my metal against these guys and see where I stood. Those challenges are what drove me to get better (all that time spent in the lab studying was for that sole reason), I feel like I don't have that now and i've been going through withdrawals. I apologise to the nigs I offend, don't know why but it turned out that way. I'll try being more something in the future. For the most part i'll just start keeping myself at home. I'll wait a few months after Extend comes out and re-surface. Until then, peace. Keep having to add stuff, Gah, screw this. Believe it or not I know what you're going through man. It's hard to play a game when it feels like there's no competition or no one seems to take it seriously. Honestly you may need to do what I've been doing and just try a different game for a while. Try something new to keep things interesting. It's a different world out there in other fighting games, and playing them can help you better understand other ones. (sort of) My advice is just to take a break and play something else for a while, you'll get the itch that'll keep you coming back. It always happens. And when it does, you'll have that same drive as before. Especially when you're rusty.

The only thing really hype I remember was Samurai Kirby... Various BB/Marvel match stuff could be considered hype. Plus, Chandler has random saved replays on his 360... mostly insanely close matches or exciting moments.

Also, Net-Play should never be used to try and induce hype. I think the hype should come from people actually on camera during something hype. Here's a list of material that could be used: Astaroth's player demonstration Samurai Kirby (That blind-fold guy was epic hype) A CS2 match from an actual tournament The upcoming interview plus the stuff you guys are doing after I leave, etc... Do a group shoutout or something with all you MTN people in it, end the tournament with this. All this backed with great music will create true hype. Edited October 11, 2011 by LastStarSaviour

I'll say this much though, I've scanned a lot of what's on the site and there's maybe a few matches I found good material in. I'll give vid names and times so you can judge for yourselves. I do think you guys should upload a few net-play matches. MTNGNetwork has been dead for about a good two months, it needs something.

I can't guarantee I can make it either way, but I'd have MUCH better luck trying to make it up on the 2nd. If you guys have been feeling MTNGNetwork-deprived, I can record and upload some matches I have on my Hard Drive some time tonight.

I actually started calling up the old crew, and got a few locals that I used to throw down in Gear with. Anyway, yeah.... beer.

It seems to me like most characters' combos from CSII are only slightly changed, with the emphasis being more on move properties. Nothing drastic about the game is being changed like it is with UMvC3.
