Milln, I thought we weren't doing the interview? Everyone was being so fucking negative towards me about it I assumed you didn't want to have it done, so to my knowledge there is going to be no Get Exposed interview. I even tossed the material I spent a LONG ASS time writing up. I can easily re-write a masterpiece but the fact people talked shit about it then I hear that we're still doing it is pissing me off. Explain the situation to me Milln so I know what's happening tomorrow.

Yeah, I definitely hate you all now...

We spent nearly an entire page detailing that we were going to do two versions. One for the Get Exposed criteria of just interviewing the TO, and one that we all felt was a better design to post on the channel about the community. I don't recall the page it was on, but it seems clear that you didn't pay attention.

I'm pretty sure that was the same page in which I was clearly being told about how fucking stupid the idea was. But you know, it's kind of hard to think clearly when you're raging from people barraging you with bull shit.

Long story short, we should cancel the Get Exposed and just do this other thing you guys are talking about. Honestly, it seems like we aren't ready for that anyways...T_T

@LastStar: Page 198, post 1977 states the following:

Milln and I have been talking about the Get Exposed thing for a bit, and I think we've reached a consensus. There shall be two versions- one to fit the criteria for Dustloop, and another that will serve as a full community video. The former will likely be a simple interview, with the latter touching on the community (you guys) itself, as well as hype moments and whatnot. Considering other communities have done the same thing, it shouldn't be a problem. Thoughts?

Pay particular attention to "as well as hype moments"

You yourself then went on to discuss which hype moments we could use. You and astaroth made a few posts regarding that.

Don't take all this the wrong way. Been playing too much Ace Attorney lately and went Lawyer Mode.

You do realise i'm aware of that already right? I know you guys are doing the vid about hype moments or something. However, I took from the feedback I was given from you, Jackie, Astaroth and Tad about the DUSTLOOP INTERVIEW and came to a conclusion on my own part that the Get Exposed would not happen. Therefore I don't understand your post.

In other news, fuck Phoenix Wright...yeah I said it.

Star, with all due respect, whether or not we do the Get Exposed interview at this point isn't up to you. I've said before that we're grateful you got us the thumbs-up, and I'm sorry if any of us came off as disrespectful or rude. We were all just disappointed when we heard you didn't have the time to put into it like we thought you would, because Middle Tennessee definitely deserves a quality Get Exposed. We're definitely ready for it, and tomorrow would be the best time for one IMO, what with the retro museum being available to us for the first time and whatnot.

I've got material for the interview set aside, so I'll take responsibility for the interview and its footage. I hope nobody takes this the wrong way/has a problem with it.

If Star doesnt mind I would like to commentate on some matches. Preferably some with skilled players so I can apply my knowledge.

Posted

Can do, Naimat. Since I'm bringing my Dad's computer to record as well, we can actually have two commentators going at the same time if people would be willing to. The only problem is, I only have one mic, so I'd need someone else to bring one and let people use. Anybody? <:3

Posted (edited)

I don't mind Naimat, might just watch people be free then leave. Kind of lost all enthusiasm for this shit. Volpe needs to hurry up so I can get some casuals and get un-pissed.

I'm gonna go ahead and hit the hay. I've got pretty much everything I need to bring tomorrow already packed up, and I'm hype for tomorrow (although still a bit worried... I didn't get to practice near as much as I wanted to, haha :P). So, looking forward to seeing you all there tomorrow, and until then- get hype!

EDIT: Whoops, you posted while I was typing Papstr. I'll take a look at it tomorrow. Thanks for offering. :yaaay:

might just spectate as usual

might just watch people be free then leave.

Okay, that's enough. I was going to leave it be, but when you purposefully change a neutral statement to a mean-spirited one, your actions need to stop. If this is even what you're upset about, We made it very clear that we were still going to have the GE interview and do an additional one on top of it. It's not "extra", it's a very simple editing job to clip and move sections of video around. You have no reason to be angry except for your own confusion and failure to understand statements.

Additionally, you need to stop with this undermining the skill of the players that belong to this community, hiding behind "Ah, i'm just trying to hype you up with comments" and then not entering into the tournament under the guise of not having a converter. Know what I did when my stick went out last month and I didn't want to enter? I played anyway, on unfamiliar sticks, because the games and the people around me were effing fun. You've had ample, ample time to come up with a convertor beginning when Midnight moved. You still haven't obtained one and all you do is complain about it. Any person interested in becoming competitive would have either put forth more effort into obtaining a conversion device, learned the native controller that the majority of the community uses, or switched to an arcade stick. Instead, you ask the top players to make concessions for you to play in their own disadvantageous situation by not being familiar with a Playstation controller's layout simply so you can hit your own buttons. You make so many comments about how people aren't good, are free, or something similar, and then you fail to take the tournament. Now, what does that say about you and all your craptalk when after you get stomped down, you refuse to enter a tournament two months in a row and STILL make jeering comments about not only the current version, but the next version of BlazBlue?

Thirdly, you seem to think that playing in the tournament is the only reason for a tournament. This is a large error. The BIGGEST REASON for a tournament is MEET PEOPLE, HANG OUT, AND CONNECT WITH ONE ANOTHER. Comaraderie is established and you meet more and more people the more tournament you go to. Tournaments have granted me many many associates, acquaintances, contacts, and friends across many games and platforms. I can't recommend Mystery Tournament enough to you if you don't have a desire to play BlazBlue. So many games, so many people to meet and greet and play against and the random surprise games and upsets and possible hype moments are nuts.

You need to take a deep breath, and calm down, Star.

Damn... a lot happened while I was out.

I'm gonna have to agree with Milln on this one, Star. I mean, I'm pretty sure you yourself has said, "It's just Chandler and Astaroth at this point." You demand more competition/training from the more lighthearted players, yet you refuse to learn stick or 360 (I do believe you've at least tried to get a decent converter, but have had bad luck or no money). I traveled 4+ hours to FR last year without even having PS3 pad experience and placed decently. Did I make execution errors? Of course. Did I let it stop me from having a great time with everyone? Not at all. You would have a decent shot at these tournaments if you sat down in training every once in a while with a 360 pad. On the other hand, if you're so "hardcore," learn a stick.

Why demand and hype up more competition when you can't even beat the current competition?

Milln, I think you need to understand a few things my friend; One, I have already gotten over the whole fuckin interview shit a long time ago. Jackie agreed to take it over so it has nothing to do with me. Second, you claim that i'm dodging you guys like i'm scared or something when the fact is, I could care less about fighting any of you. Third, I don't know if YOU'VE ever tried to find a converter, but finding a good one is pretty hard and my wallet isn't always so accessible to buy random stuff. Fourth, i've never taken my name-calling seriously and neither has anyone else, now all of a sudden it's a problem? wtf? You've got some balls claiming I would dodge anyone, when the fact of the matter is I would never dodge a fight, if i'm not playing it's sincerely because I can't play so shut this shit up. Last time I checked I didn't get stomped down or whatever shit you're talking about. In the end, you're the one who needs to calm down trying to write a story on why I need to calm down. Get over yourself man.

SO you're going to buy me a fightstick? You going to buy me a 360 copy? No I don't think so. Now unless I get money for extra shit i've got to stick with what I got. Unless someone wants to give me something....No I don't think so

The only people i've lost to last time I entered were you and Eshi. Everyone else I clearly remember beating. Let me say this while i'm at it, I don't claim to be the most hard-core player. I've just been evolving my gameplay but looking back I don't see much change in the general gameplay of the others. Now that could easily be changed by what I see tomorrow.

I also want to take a minute to say that EVERYONE has improved. Papstr's Ragna really surprised me two months ago (he didn't enter the last one due family stuff iirc). Volpe's Hakumen blows my mind more and more, and I can't wait to see how he fares tomorrow. Naimat has seemed to wipe the salty sweat and focus more in his matches. I've seen Milln do real Jin combos, and he's worked on his game. Chandler came out of nowhere, going from free to consistently placing high in just a few months. Tad picked up Valk and started going toe-to-toe with me instantly. Star placed 3rd in MWC, which can't be forgotten.

Doro has gone in a different direction. Not in skill of course, but in game choice. It's amazing how many characters he plays in Marvel, and he's blown my mind on his improvements through the months (even though we still can't beat Boomcube).

Posted

@Star: I thought you had a 360 and a copy of BB. I didn't know you borrowed or rented it. As for the fightstick thing, Tad might have one you can borrow. Just ask around on here. Who knows... someone might not be using theirs at the moment.

@Clarksville dude: Who are you? And, we're usually not like this. lol

Posted (edited)

*Sigh* I remember saying that I was indeed trying to buy a 360 copy so I could play you guys on 360. I do not have the game yet nor will I have it anytime soon, bills and what-not. I want a fightstick so badly but right now i'll be lucky to even scrape up a 50 dollar fightstick for Christmas. For the most part I want to say that while I feel more confident in my knowledge and over gameplay, I want to be able to share and even learn new stuff from people. And I can only do that if I see crazy shit from my opponents, which I haven't from anyone yet (except that fucking Valk, damnit Tad). When I fought his Valk I said "Damn, this nigga be solid, let me hit the lab and get some new technology" and that's exactly what I did.

Going to end here, my random blabbering has grown tiresome
