We've only hit below the 10-person mark once, and even then, it was like 8 or 9. I wouldn't fret too much on that.

The GIANT tv in the arcade is awesome. Playing a tournament match on that beast is hype.

We've gone below 10 people three times. ne time it was a joke of 4 or 5.

I do agree that it would be nice to have Grand Finals on something I can actually see without being in the way of 50 other people.

So are you saying MWC Room, Game Galaxy room, or just "yay bigger venue" in general?

Dang, we've gone under 10 three times?! I could've sworn it was only that one time where we did a round robin.

1. Me

2. Milln

3. Chandler

4. Star

5. Naimat (for most of them)

6. Doro (missed 1 iirc)

7. Klein (somewhat random)

8. Tad (also random)

9. Papstr (missed one or two)

10. Pickle (for most of them)

11. Zeno (a few)

12. Volpe (a few)

13. Grimstar (posts but never shows)

14-15. New Memphis dudes (seem to be regulars now)

16-20. Melee players (at least four non-BB playing every time)

21-23. Random out of staters

24-25. Random friends of we bring

Those were the numbers running through my head. I guess I can see how we ducked under 10. Just bad luck, fluke, etc.

I specifically noted venue fee would be the same ten dollars for you all if MWC Room was used. The only thing that changes is I have to guarantee at least ten people.

I don't remember this. Sounds good if we can ensure ten people every month...

Honestly I want there to be time for both tournaments and friendlies. I mainly come to these tournies for offline friendlies and it's annoying that we usually only get like an hour to do any and even then we are limited to like one or two set-ups. I would say even with 5 set-ups three tournies at max and it's three games the majority of us actually play. You don't even need to run marvel milln since jason does that anyways.

The "MWC Room" would be cool if it can be rented out for the same price as the Retro Arcade, but that seems incredibly unlikely. You put enough of your money into this already, Milln- I'm more worried about your spending in venue's regard than I am ours. That said, I'd be fine with staying in the Retro Arcade (having free play arcade machines is a cool incentive for those who might be one the fence, especially newbies, and it would help continue supporting the arcade) on the condition that we can have more space next time. With all due respect to Jason, I felt like we didn't have near enough room to operate in, and moving some of the non-working arcade machines that were in there (I noticed a few myself) to make more room doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

There are some things to take into account, though. I'm no electrician, but I can't see the power problem that plagued T.V.s being fixed any time soon. Unless fixed, that effects both tournament matches and recording. We also have to worry about disruptions and crowding from the crowd who comes just for the Retro Arcade. It's very unlikely this will become a significant problem, but if the museum ever takes off it could be one. On top of that, even if more accommodations for space are made, we probably won't have as much space for friendlies as most people like.

Maybe the MWC Room would be a better choice, but once again, I'm worried about what kind of toll that would put on you, Milln. How much of a difference is the MWC Room from the Retro Arcade in venue price? And I mean from a renter's perspective, not ours.

I agree with all of this, except for excluding Marvel. Early Ultimate will probably bring a lot of numbers. At least have it until Skullgirls, SFxT, or SC5 comes out.

I just want to note that if the arcade itself can hold a 32 man tourney, we have nothing to worry about when it comes to space and should just stick to the arcade for price sake, unless you guys just like the overall more space that's available in the "MTNG/Retro Arcade" Room.

Oh my god you guys, I can't say it any clearer. How is it that there's still miscommunication?

MWC Room = ten dollar venue fee, must guarantee at least ten people each month.

Features: it's effing big. Outlets everywhere. Setups galore.

Cons: we provide our own setups, including tv's and power strips,

Inside Game Galaxy= five dollar venue fee, no guarantee required

Features: still okay in size. More spacious than the Retro Arcade. Big tv and other tv's already there.

Cons: it's loud, if you ask me, less space than MWC room,

Retro Arcade= ten dollar venue fee, no guarantee required

Features: free play on arcade machines all day, free play Guilty cabinet

Cons: we're crammed into a corner with little room for setups.

Where is the room in the arcade exactly? and when we had tournies there, there were only two set-ups like the retro arcade and we were crammed into an even smaller space than the retro arcade.

DIE TAGER DIE DAMNIT!!!! I KEEP KILLING YOU IN TRAINING MODE BUT YOU'RE STILL ON THE CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN!!!! DIE DAMNIT!!!

Also, idk about anyone else but I loved the MWC room. I didn't feel fat in there. So what if we have to do more work, i'm up for it.

Lol hella mad. Noel no longer has a matchup against this guy. We just select characters, then all you hear is FINISH!!!

I just watched a match tonight of Tager vs Noel, and Tager lost. Not as bad as you think, imo. It's probably 5.5-4.5 in Tager's favor, if not near 5-5.

@the whole venue thing: I don't think you guys realize that if we choose the MWC room route, we only have 5 tvs to start (all Milln's). We'd need power strips, tables, consoles, and chairs (if not provided by Jason). At the same time, we HAVE to ensure 10+ people every month. It's not as easy as just saying, "YEP! TAKE MWC ROOM NOW!"

I was joking Astaroth, it's 5.5/4.5 in Tager's favor for CS2 and it'll probably be a legit 6/4 for Tager in Extend. That's still his one and only good matchup.

It's no MWC Room, or Storage room Pre-Retro Arcade, but it's better than our current situation, with less cost on you guys to boot. There's five setups (Vewlix, Big TV, TV on the right, Asus, Table TV) and potential for one more that we can place next to Rush/Turtles. I'd rather put that one after the majority of entrants go home, cause having another block there would bottleneck the pathway.

Having the MWC Room would require -everyone- to do their part. Something that I still can't achieve after a year of griping.

Current Stock list is completely between me and Jackie is 2 360's, 3 BlazBlue's, Infinite Power Strips(Honestly, I manage a RadioShack), 5 tv's, a ton of fans.

I'm sure Jason will let us have the tables in the Retro Arcade, but we will always need more. Chairs, Tables, and more setups will have to be provided by the players. If we can't breach five setups, there's no point, because we have five setups for five less dollars inside the Game Galaxy with less work hauling crap.

sounds like jackie doesnt have anything to worry about -_-

Against the Tager matchup, anyway.
