I know I couldn't play on a PS3 controller/fight stick to save my life. :P All the more reason to get dat converter, though (especially now that we know good ones aside from Midnight's exist, haha). I'll have the rest of the videos edited before today's over, but it'll take a while for them all to be uploaded. I expect them all to be uploaded by tomorrow morning (which means I'll have gotten them all out in under a week! *Pats self on back*). ... I don't think I'd make it as a professional editor. XD

I'm sad I used Mu, I really should have waited before bringing her out, losing with Haku-Men was okay with me but seeing Mu lose, that just hurt. Also, Noel's combos keep getting sexier. Can't wait to start ripping in some faces with her once Extend hits. Praying for CT colors as well

It sounds fine when I listen to it in the editor, but after I produce it it comes out a little bit off sometimes (and I know it's the program's fault, because producing the same thing usually fixes the problem). Next time I'll listen over the produced videos individually. My apologies, guys.

There was so much mash I couldn't punish, I hate the fact that Haku-Men players get their bs backed by counters. That match just re-ignited my hate for that "character." Thats just how zeno plays lol. I mean yeah that is bullshit how hakumen can do that, but I don't see a lot playing like him, so if you're going to hate anything hate his playstyle.

For the most part I don't mind playing a Haku-Men who knows what they're doing (i've only fought one and he's on PSN net-play unfortunately), fighting him kind of set the standards I have for most Haku-Men players I fight now. However, throwing shit out in ignorance will always receive my blatant disapproval.

Papstr is right in that if you are falling for what you think is "stupid shit" then you are either a) stupid (since its working) or b)if you are not stupid, then it isn't stupid shit because why would someone stupid fall for "stupid" shit. Also, I guarantee you Zeno doesn't play even a fourth of the amount you do and I know he primarily plays smash yet you were struggling against him when I was watching you two play. Honestly if he played the game more he would have an even chance against you. Now that's not to say you aren't skilled but it doesn't mean he isn't either, and to be frank he was playing haku the most logical way against you. You like throwing out a lot of attacks with Noel cause it's safe, Zeno isn't really risking a lot by throwing out drives because he has a high chance of countering you since there is a high chance you are throwing out an attack. Although he lost he definitely had the right idea and you can see he missed a lot of drive counters due to just mistiming but he threw it out there on reaction to your attacks. (Also abusing his invincible moves and long range attacks applies here as well.) His errors are merely a lack in just playing the game but his strategy was spot on.

Also stupid shit = stuff that he shouldn't be doing that he gets punished for, everything else seems legit to me I guess.

Honestly a cool bk combo would be better and more exciting to watch.
LastStarSaviour Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Naimat, I disagree with you. Me and a few people actually discussed this many times about "why do scrubs do pretty well against pros." Well, here's a known fact, when people on a higher field of playing play against someone, they're expecting the other player to have a certain "pattern" in which they follow (such as throwing out blockstrings, frame-traps, and ACTUAL pressure) since you're under the implication that they're on an equal level of play as you, you assume they know how to shut down at least a few of your options (it's easy as hell to lock Noel down with Haku-Men) . Now, when you fight someone who does not play according to this "pattern" it throws you off and now instead of playing "how do I fight this fellow pro?" You have to spend extra time figuring where he's mashing, how he's mashing, and how you're going to get in and stop this mash. To be honest this is just simply hard to do against Haku-Men with Noel (something i've told Volpe countless times when we fought each other), which is why it may have appeared that I was "struggling" but I wasn't. Yeah I fell for some things (which ARE stupid). Not because i'm stupid but because I was expected him to play within a certain formula by which most pro level gamers play by. The one thing I was not aware of was that he didn't play the game at all. I was under the impression that he played at least enough to be adequate in what he was doing. Believing that won't happen again and i'll play against him as if I were playing against any common net-play scrub next time. In the end, I beat out the stupidity so there's no big deal about it. I actually got over that a few minutes after posting it. Pickle just brought it up over this bit of time.

Good players see simple 360/720 setups and jump or backdash. Expecting this, I yomi collider or jump + airgrab. Meanwhile, Chandler stands there. LOL
