Jackie Chandler Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 We should all hit Steak n Shake Saturday night. Seriously. F*** ihop. This. MILLN. Y U NO LET GRUDGE GO? @Star- I'd do it, but I don't have anywhere near that much colors for anyone, haha. Also, about Final Round- Shin just replied saying that button mapping IS allowed, but wireless controllers are NOT. That's kind of a big deal to me, since I've only got a month to familiarize myself with a third-party wired controller. Seriously, I hate this. If there were just a decent Xbox 360 -> PS3 converter, I wouldn't have to worry about my performance being hindered from having to get comfortable with a THIRD controller. Or if Sony had the decency to make an official wired controller, I could just use that. Or if the setups were run on 360 (I thought that was the console of choice here in the South anyway?), that. Not trying to sound like I'm throwing a temper tantrum- I'm just saying.
Milln Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 I'm fine with us going to Steak N Shake. I was at our Ihop last night after Fight Night an they took forever to cook our food. /restaurant snob I'll get some grilled cheese sandwiches and it'll be delicious. Try looking for a 360>ps2 converter Jackie. See if you get better results. KOF players: Practice. @Astaroth dude should I get it on Ps3 or 360? You know what I'm talking about.
Astaroth136 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 @Astaroth dude should I get it on Ps3 or 360? You know what I'm talking about. Everyone on PSN plays wirelessly, therefore, more lag. XBL has me, therefore, better option.
Milln Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) Star deletes another post. Now how will I put Noelona on my 360? Ah well, Misty is all anyone needs. @SoulCalstaroth: Dude I hate lag. I need ALL MY FRAMES, man! 360 it is. I'll be on that Milln Calibur 5. Edit: just saw that we have 3,753 replies. This makes us the thread with the most posts on the front page of Event Announcements. Two more than the NorCal thread. Of course, we don't have the views the Evo thread does. Volpe-de-Glacio Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5676ksaSBeY Since Star's being a ho and apparently I'm incapable of embedding Also, THIS fucking commercial. . Edited January 26, 2012 by Volpe-de-Glacio
LastStarSaviour Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) I figured no one was going to bother making it seeing as I asked yesterday and didn't really get a response. Plus it wasn't my vid so I didn't want to keep it up forever. I'll link it. Noeleona Edited January 26, 2012 by LastStarSaviour
Milln Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 You didn't...? You got three responses within like two hours and then took it down by 11 o'clock. I'm confused. Is anyone gonna be up at the game galaxy Friday night for some practice? I'll house afterwards.
LastStarSaviour Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Too bad those 3 responses didn't confirm whether or not they would actually make it or not.
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Man I need those matches. . . If only Kriss didn't have to work Friday. . .
Seiki Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 You didn't...? You got three responses within like two hours and then took it down by 11 o'clock. I'm confused. . So if you basically take a regular average brain...and you turn it upside down that's Star's brain.
Papstr Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_MFkGo-hsCY I'll just leave this here.
Jackie Chandler Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_MFkGo-hsCY I'll just leave this here. God fucking damn it. GOD. FUCKING. DAMN IT. You know what Capcom? Fuck you. I was seriously thinking about getting this game. I wasn't planning on giving you any money for it, but I was willing to give it a chance. Then you had to throw Mega Man into the equation again. Seriously, what were you THINKING? Do you think fans are so starved that they're willing to settle for THAT? Go fuck yourselves. This game is a joke. I don't want to have anything to do with your shitty-ass gem system, your pre-order/LE bonuses, your retarded comeback mechanics, OR your console-exclusive characters. The worst part about this is that it gives tourneys yet ANOTHER reason to run on PS3-only, and that blind sheep with loose wallets will buy this shit anyway. FML.
Milln Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 LAWL ask for classic mega man and you get mega man off the box art of Mega Man 1. GeeGeeeeeeeeeeeee Capcom well played. Fun fact: KO laughed his ass off and said that's who he'd play.
Milln Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 Just got my first rage message on KOF. He had an awful connection and I left after dominating him. "bitch fight me again u think me letting u win think u can beat me wow bitch ill own u easy lets go again" To which I responded: "Get a connection that isn't powered by hamsters on wheels and I'll accept. GG though. =]" I'm such a douchebag, but then again I do play Ash.
Milln Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 Double post: Hey, Jackie. In actuality, it gives no reason for or against running tournaments on ps3. Whenever console exclusive characters are released, they're banned from tournaments unless they are available on all platforms. Otherwise, there'd be a matchup experience issue. Not trying to get you to get the game, just correcting a point.
Jackie Chandler Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) Yeah, I was admittedly flustered when I typed that comment up, but I know what you mean. I understand Yoda/Darth were banned for SCIV tournaments (right?), and Kratos is banned in MK tournaments. But as is the case with the latter, more gamers will choose the superior version of the game over the inferior one. That's why the console of choice for MK tournaments is usually PS3- because more people bought/own/play it on that console because it has exclusive content. At this point, I don't see how SFxT is going to play in tournaments, anyway. I mean, if you're trying to appeal to fighting game fans- you know, the ones that tend to compete in tournaments and the like- why would you bother implementing a customization system that's likely to be banned, ESPECIALLY because there's pre-order/Limited Edition exclusive content? Because I know someone's going to bring up the parallel if I don't, no, this isn't like items in Super Smash Brothers. That game is also geared towards a recreational gaming audience, so they somewhat fit the game outside a tournament setting. Street Fighter and Tekken are both known for their competitive aspects, AND for running the same on both consoles, though- so seriously, why the fuck would they change that for this game? ... and to think, this game will be ran at EVO this year instead of Blazblue. My name might as well be Saltie Chandler. Edited January 27, 2012 by Jackie Chandler
Papstr Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Oh, Oh, is it opinion sharing time? Yaaay~! Since we're on the subject of SFxT I'll throw my hat into the ring: So, the gem system. The system itself is not a bad thing. Not at all. I was skeptical with everyone else, but after seeing what exactly each gem would do, I realized, it's not such a bad idea after all. A damage boost for hitting a few basic attacks? Defense boost for blocking? That's pretty simple stuff. Setting up a "deck" of these kinds of things offers more customization and options to tailor towards what you like. If you're an aggressive player, stuff that benefits from offense would benefit you. Different decks are really no different that different Ultra selections to me (or heck, from a different example, Runes/Masteries in League of Legends). The REAL issue of gems is this: preorder/DLC gems being stronger than the defaults, and possibly having to unlock them. The other issue is the possible tediousness of tournament play. Is such a customization system a good idea? Certainly. Some may think, oh, it changes the match ups, you don't know what to expect, well, if the screen lists their gems, you'll know, and its not like something as basic at extra damage will play THAT big of a difference. But really, who cares. Oh. I guess we do. Also lolMegaman.
Astaroth136 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Dear fightin' game players, You don't have to like or buy every Capcom fighting game on the market. In fact, you don't have to like every fighting game in general. Just don't buy it and move on. Sincerely, Astaroth
Jackie Chandler Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 But then I don't get to bitch about things I don't like in a public forum. :<
Top_Cat Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I don't think I'm going to make it out tomorrow. I'm sick and feel like shit -_______-
Jackie Chandler Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Damn, hope you're feeling better soon Midnight. Looks like I'll have to mop everyone up in Extend in your place. *Trollface.jpg*
