I didn't know this was a question. I assumed that there was a system in place that we usually follow since we've been following it for about three years now. We've done these every last Saturday of the month and I assumed we only stopped these past few months because of a few events that were happening that we decided to stop our tournaments for (such as BADC). I'm fine with the system of just having it every last Saturday of the month, since well, that's how we've always done it. If it's too conflicting for a lot of people then there's no reason we really have to stop it for them. They can just try to get time and money or whatever the need may be for the next month. The only thing that should really be conflicting, is the games that we're going to play, and even then, that's not something that's hard to figure out in a few hours or a day. Well, i'll leave that to our organizer to figure out but we did have a system in place.

On another note, Vocal, Volpe, and me had plans to throw a house party to celebrate Under Night's release in the future. Whenever we get a release date for it we're planning to have it set for about a week or two after the game came out. Maybe this will get more mileage here, but either ways, it's something that we were planning. If you're interested, let us know here or the skype chat, or PMs or whatever. Also, it won't just be UNIEL being played. We'll have set-ups for every game that people recommend. Throw your ideas, comments, thoughts at us and we'll see if we can make this happen.

May 31st sounds like an ideal date. We'll hold the monthly then. Does anyone have a preference en on which venue we'd like to use? Game Galaxy or The Score?

Also, don't forget MWC is coming up soon!

I prefer GG because of the old cabs there. If we do it there I will personally run an ABK $1 side tournament, and if anybody wants to play PJ I'll do the same. If we have space/time, I will offer VSav over something, but the cab has American parts so we'd have to give up a set up and blah blah.

Sup man, it has been a minute. I need to get around to playing some games with you. Other than that, how's it been? How goes the BB training? Also, are you interested in UNIEL at all?

If you want, we should go ahead and get you into the MTN skype chat, if you're not already in it. That's where most of us talk and whatnot now.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Shinx is the greatest Pokemon that will ever exist, and if you think different, you're wrong.

Oh, and I hope to see people up at this Smash tournament in Franklin at The Score on May 3rd.

Looks like myself, Phil, Patrick, Mellis, possibly Naimat and Mark from Ohio are all going to SE-R 3.5 in Bama on the 3rd.  I've got the Battle Van (I can't really call it the BangBus, but you gais can) which can take 6-7.  We are all leaving from Columbia around noon on the 3rd.  CATS Cheerleading 2494 Park Plus Drive Columbia 38401.  Anyone else looking to go and need a ride?

I'm definitely able to go.

Hello, I moved to Nashville around six months ago and have been going to Game Galaxy semi-regularly to play games.  Last week I met Naimat and he said I should check in here for games that aren't Street Fighter.  So here I am.  What's the deal with this thing on the 31st?

Yo! Welcome. It's gonna be a tournament at Game Galaxy (right?), 15$ entry to play any number of games. No payout, but someone might give out bouncy balls or something. Games are decided by what's being played by everyone, but if you want a casuals setup of a less played game, go for it. Tournaments generally start around noon, and end whenever we finish. Sometime between 4 and late, and I recommend staying after to grab dinner with all of us for fun.

You go to GG? Surprised you haven't talked to me yet. I'm the Sakura player who usually sits around the Project Justice cab.

I'm that Juri player you bopped in the tournament a week or so ago.  I think you might've also directed me here awhile back, but I got caught up with moving and work related stuff and it slipped my mind.

Yo! I'm Naimat. Glad you visited our forum unlike those who say they will and don't. I hope to see you at the tourney! We are very open to teaching new players! Just be open to getting your ass beat!

It's been a long time coming (years, literally), so I can't say i'm surprised. I can however say that regardless of whether I always show it or not, I respect you as one of my favorite people in not just the FGC, but in general.

You've given more to this scene than anyone could ever expect, or pay back. Without you, there wouldn't BE an MTNG, and I'd be missing one of the most positive forces in my life. A force that's gotten me through rough as hell times, whether it's known or not. I think now that MTNG is all grown up, and experienced, that we can go on without the hat, and I applaud you for making that possible.

Love ya Milln. Wildstar is at 78% as of this writing btw.

It breaks my heart to see you go, Milln. We're not only losing a great tournament organizer and the founding father of our community - we're losing a valuable asset, a wonderful member, and a good friend.

That isn't to say I can't accept your reasons, though. As a college graduate, I'm all too familiar with people moving on with their lives, and I understand it's for the best. We owe you enough as it is already, so the least we can do is give you a respectful farewell.

...

But not to being our friend, dummy! It's okay if you don't enjoy fighting games any more. It's even okay if you really don't want to show up to future MTNG gatherings. But you can't just call it quits on our friendships just like that!

Stick around in the Skype chat, text us, and play other games with us. Just because you're not a member of MTNG any more doesn't mean we want to be rid of you. It's exactly the opposite!

So here's to a fresh start, and new beginnings. We'll do you proud, Milln.

Milln I've known ya since we were playing brawl and since then have known ya as a great leader in the community. I've been with you when we were both in the smash community and then later in the anime community. In both cases you volunteered and successfully took the role as a leader. Our community would definitely not be where it is today without you. I would have not met all the great friends I've made without your efforts. I'm certain that you will also be a successful leader in your career endeavors. I would wish you best of luck but you don't need luck if you got skillz.

Y'know I had the reply box open since last night, and I've been staring at it wondering if I should say anything that I haven't already said to Milln in private, because I dunno if I want to write my life story with Milln on a public forum. Then I realized, who cares. If other random people pop in and see what we're writing here, they need to see why I adore Milln anyway.

Do you remember when we first met? It was back in high school. I walked into the Game Galaxy and you approached me with a big smile and being super friendly. You had a little notebook and asked for my autograph, saying that your goal was to have everyone sign it. Do you still have that? I kinda want to see it. That was my first tournament ever. Probably my first time ever really doing anything video game related out in public. I was still really really shy in those days, but you seemed really approachable and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know myself and others. That was probably 6 or 7 years ago. Time has certainly gone by.

I went through the album you posted and I'm not gonna lie, I came pretty close to tearing up, haha. It was like a portal into the past. I had no idea you had snuck so many photos over the years. And yet I can still recall the context of almost every photo, both in terms of what was happening at the event and what was going on in my personal life, both the good and bad. Man I miss Pyramid Cafe.

This leaving thing has been a long time coming. We've talked about this before, obviously. I knew it was coming and I'm totally fine with it. People grow, change, and move on. Fighting games aren't for everyone. That's just a fact, Nothing is for everyone. Except breathing. And even then, if you're a fish you probably don't do that.

You've been a hugely positive experience on my life, from opening a gateway to a new hobby and helping me meet at these new great friends I have, to even helping me land jobs, as well as advice on life issues or finances or whatever. I don't think any amount of thank yous will ever repay all of that. I'd say you've been more of a father/brother figure to me than my own father and brother.

I totally respect you wanting to pursue other interests and further your career. I think it's pretty awesome that you're passionate enough about your store that you want to strive to be one of the best.

Also I hope you pop up on the 31st so I can say hello to you. It's been too long since I've seen you. Hopefully I can find opportunities to come to Murfreesboro to pay you and KO a visit as well.

Phew. As you said to me the other day, I don't show a lot of emotion. People are probably gonna find this really weird coming from me.
