LordPangTong Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Hi! It's great to see another venue looking to open up and host Connecticut's growing fighting game scene, especially with our old go-to venue, Battlegrounds, having shut down recently. I'm sure the folks who went to Battlegrounds often would like another venue and this is not the first time we've considered using Hall of Gaming for meetups. Our only concern is the size of Hall of Gaming, and whether or not it would be able to support larger numbers, if the tournaments have decent outcomes. Would you happen to know how many people can comfortably fit in Hall of Gaming? -Paul/LPT
HOG2010 Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 Our new Venue can easy fit 50 maybe 60 players.. we just move to a bigger place, last one was a little smaller... It would be great to bring back the old DM community. Hope meet u in person soon! Hall of Gaming 220 N Colony St Suite B Wallingford CT 06492 Behind Subway Drive THRU 2 Miles Away fron Old DM
kona Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 One of these days, I'll come by and scope out the venue. If it fits the community's needs, we'll def be in the talks of running tournaments.
Mindgam3 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 (edited) You know, even if the place is slightly larger than the old venue, it's probably safe to say that it will be large enough for meetups/fight nights/whatever. Concerning tournaments, for the amount of people that have shown up in the past I believe we can realistically run anything as long as it's not run alongside, say, SFIV or Marvel. That ought to be a separate event if we are concerned with space since those games pull in relatively larger numbers, air conditioning can only go so far, and the fire marshal is law...
