  3. In terms of combo scaling j.a> j2c. I actually couldn't figure out a good combo off j2c (even level 2), including the combo that works off ja. Not sure if George still slightly unscales your combo like in CP, but as of right now ja is better in most situations. J2c is windless instant overhead option but other than that not so good. That said, j2c -> 6a 4b no longer works. The best I could get off of it was jbc jbc lobelia apparently there are new combos that involve mid-combo ivy set? Sounds hella good, I'm gonna test some time after NEC because I'm worried it will mess up CPEX execution lol
  4. So this is a video of my playing from Round 1 in SoCal this past weekend against some Nine player. It was early in the day so my confirms were kinda crap. :X Anyways this version of Rachel is really solid feeling. Definitely a lot of fun to play. Was thinking about posting up some matchup analyses once the game has been out a little longer. Let me know if you have any questions or want to hear more about BBCF Rachel!
  5. ^ webs set post 623C are super charged. They don't get disarmed by things that normally would, so currenlty everyone is scared to move/poke when he puts you in the corner or else they get hit by webs lol yay Byakuya!
  6. This is something about Byakuya: https://twitter.com/ohittou/status/601635616875360256 send help.
  7. Socal team is: brkrdave, LPT, KFL, Kizzie_Kay, iPhail, Huey and 1 more
  8. So this is actually going to be the location where the SoCal vs NorCal UNIEL clash is taking place! There will be a 7on7 as well as a singles tournament ($5 entry, not $1) Any UNIEL players, please make it out to this!
  9. P4U2 Labrys actually troubles me. While the new gatlings/hop cancels help to improve her pressure, I don't think this makes up for the fact that her default axe level is now blue axe. Current P4U Labrys could spend 25 meter and bring herself up to red axe, which is where Labrys wants to be. Now, It seems the only way to go from blue -> red in one combo requires at least 25 meter plus a burst. Without that burst, the most you will get out of a 25 meter combo is yellow axe, which doesn't quite cut it. Her okizeme got a huge nerf with the removal of held sword trap so it is tougher for her to maintain momentum off a hit. Even moreso than in P4U, Labrys has issues holding her axe levels which severely limits her damage. All just my opinion, but after all's said and done considering she has worse oki and spends less time in red axe, I'd say Labrys got worse.
  10. @papermarkis- Yes, the new auto combo is OMC-able. It is in fact the most common place where players are bursting the unblockable maragi setup. Haven't seen any JP Yukikos OMC'ing on reaction to burst there, however. If you hard bait without the reaction, the loss of damage would be huge. I'm pretty sure their mindset is that if anything, it will force the other person to use their burst after getting hit by 5AAA. @Etherlight- 5AA is jc-able, but I don't think 5AAA is. (No video has indicated so thus far) Some players do burst after 236D is input, but the 236D is active enough that it punishes the burst with it's second hit. Yukiko can't combo it obviously, but I think this may deter some people from bursting that point. On the note of Shadow Yukiko, I think the general consensus on her is that she's flat out inferior to regular Yukiko. Yukiko's new auto combo is an enormous buff because it leads to the unblockable setup that does large (and easy) damage. Plus, she has a burst to work with. Shadow goes back to the old auto combo, so she has no braindead unblockable to run. I have a hunch that she has untapped potential in shadow rampage mode that we haven't seen yet, but I don't know that it makes up for the loss of her unblockable in regular form. Luckily, I will soon be able to test her myself when I move to Japan in a little over a month.
  11. @Toronto Where's K2?! And what the heck. I already signed up for BB but I'll fraud it up in GG as well =D edit: Are we running P4U teams? We should. And it should be 3on3
  12. Thanks for talking to the TO, SuperJ! Just a bit of my personal input regarding a few things you mentioned: -system should be PS3 since the majority of our P4U players play on that system -70/20/10 it standard most places so I think we should split the pot accordingly -I would personally prefer Saturday over Sunday to run P4U, seeing as I'm pretty much travelling to GUTS exclusively for anime games and it would be nice to have more than just casuals on Friday/Saturday -If you need help TO'ing anime tournaments at all, talk to me and MindGam3 And a quick question: can we stream?
  13. This tournament was a ton of fun! Big shoutout to Daiandoh, Biscuits, LI Joe and everyone else on the staff who made the event run smoothly and possible! Another shoutout to Bibi and Sp00ky for streaming! Having top 4 on the big stage was hella hype. Level 5- Your Tsubaki was too ham for me. I gotta pay more attention to some chars in that game obviously haha. Tsunna- GGs in tournament and gratz on takin the BB tournament. Nasty Bang color too strong. Zealous- good job making top 8 man! Pretty cool seeing another Yukiko make it far =D Sucks we had to play a mirror on stream though. GGs! VR Raiden- great meeting you and fun tournament match. You'll qualify out of your pool next time I promise lol Grover- Why you so strong? Good stuff takin the P4U tournament Daiandoh- Yo, just so you know, abbreviation for Yukiko is (YK) and Rachel is (RC). As it is now, it looks like I play boring protag characters >=( Roku, Colpevole, Ril, Pochp and everyone else I saw over the weekend- great seeing you all again!
  14. Hey guys, go to GUTS and play fighting games imo. Info thread here -> http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?16418-Game-Underground-Presents-GUTS-2-Boston-MA-June-14-16-P4A-BB-GG&p=1502499#post1502499 P.S.: Millia's new hat is pretty okay
  15. Yeah what SKD said about transportation, Elochai. I used to take a bus from South Station -> NYC for BBG tournaments back when those were a thing, and it was only like ~$30 round trip. Bus ride is about 3-4 hours depending on when you go. If anyone from out of state takes a bus, public transportation is super cheap and easy to maneuver around the city once you get there! It would be awesome to see some NJ/NY heads at this. Regarding GG/BB, I'll get clarification and post up here as soon as I hear something definite

See you all at Evo!
  23. In addition to the stuff Ryd mentioned in the above post, here's some other unblockable stuff that is worth learning imo: Combo into 236A+B midscreen: dash 214D ]A[ ]B[ dash 2A+B 236A/236C for oki This combo sacrifices a bit of damage off the Maragi loop in order to set up a safe, meaty unblockable. While this might not be something you want to utilize off a good starter like 236C/D or any OMB combo, I'd go for this midscreen if I land a 5AA anti air or any other somewhat negligible starter. This is also possible in the corner. For example, off All-out attack: (corner) 5A+B 5B 2C 5C 5B 236A+B 214D ]A[ ]B[ 2A+B 236A/236C Same situation. Sacrifice damage to go for guaranteed unblockable at the expense of 25 meter. Something worth considering
