Matchup: 4-6

[CS1] Taokaka vs Lambda

"...playing with a free-spirited cat and taking a walk under the clear sky."

-Rachel

This cat's on crack.

She's really fast, which makes zoning imprecise. Make sure you're at least half a second ahead of yourself in this matchup. Whiff 214A/B/C makes Taokaka slow down immensely to something manageable.

This is one of the matchups where using 6A, 6B, 4B, and less likely 2C will actually pay off almost better than Ds... doesn't mean you can't use them, just not as efficiently since she gets in really fast. 214D is good if you can time it well enough and there is enough space between the two of you.

I'll update with feedback

i always punish j.4d with my standing 5d and land a free 236c combo. of course...that not the only way they get in but they usually use that as a start for crossups...

2C is the best move for this matchup. It shouldn't be your only move of course but:

6C? 2C that for a nice counter.

2D? 2C that. Stops all air approaches.

5D? 2C that.

4D? 2C that also. Just delay it a bit.

Wallbouncejump [i need to learn my BB terms still]? 2C that shit.

You won't always have meter for 2C(CH)>5CxN>6C>236236D>ect or gravity for 2C(CH)>j.5C>j.2C>2DD>Gravity>ect, so you can also do 2C(Ch)(1)>airdash forward j.2C>2DD>Air Ender.

Any good tao will use moves other than those though. 2C is just useful for punishing most of taos faster approaches.

Speaking of gravity, how effective is it in this match-up? As fast as Tao is, you would think that using it would be a guessing game of sorts.
