Ichipoo Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 (edited) This is actually a decent anime fighter on the PSP. I just picked up this game and it's really enjoyable (assuming you have people to play with) even if you don't know the source material like me. The gameplay is a nice mix between footsie oriented fighters and combo oriented fighters since there's no airdashing and airblocks, but there's chain combos though not the "normal" kind in the sense that you can't do A > B > C but you can do A > B or A > C in most cases. It should be mentioned that the game is unbalanced in the sense that not everybody has a combo that can deal over 50% damage or a "flexible" combo repertoire as shown with Future Hayato and a handful of others or grabs that can take a third of your health away, but most, if not all characters can still succeed if you play intelligently, and it's still enjoyable for me personally since the high damage combos encourages smarter play and footsies; make one mistake and you eat a high damage combo and/or Okizeme. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrCi9RGFESw Ad Hoc Party anybody? furix Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 haha, gotta love obscure PSP fighters D: This looks cool, not sure if I'll pick it up or not though lol
xlolxlolx Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 wow that looks really slow, let's go back to heat the soul 7 with my derpy infinites
Ichipoo Posted June 29, 2011 Author Posted June 29, 2011 wow that looks really slow, let's go back to heat the soul 7 with my derpy infinitesHallow Bankai Ichigo and Hitsugaya, j.O and XXO all day, err day. Seriously, I played HtS7 at a "high level" with a few of my friends, and all it consisted of was seeing who can score a knockdown first since charging Reiatsu is a gdlk Oki in that game. Never playing that game ever again. I even made a topic on GFAQs ranting about the game. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/995176-bleach-heat-the-soul-7/56392299
xlolxlolx Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 lol i found more loops, but game pretty much died by then :P mmm, dled this game and trying stuff out, so far its better than the first one but the combo system is really weird....
xlolxlolx Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 future gokudera is this game's god tier.... found some hilarious future hibari bullshit with needle sphere super majority of normals in this game are pretty useless and about half the cast or so doesn't stand a chance against top tier chars like tsuna and squallo
Ichipoo Posted June 29, 2011 Author Posted June 29, 2011 future gokudera is this game's god tier.... found some hilarious future hibari bullshit with needle sphere super majority of normals in this game are pretty useless and about half the cast or so doesn't stand a chance against top tier chars like tsuna and squalloLol yeah I thought so. And I've been trying to figure out how to maximize the number of hits that TYL Kyoya's needle ball super will give him. That shit is gdlk. Yes, most normals are useless due to how you can't chain into them or chain into specials or supers so their only use IMO is for footsies and spacing. And Christ Tsuna is so stupid, command grab for max meter and it's not that hard to grab an opponent. And really? Squalo is good? Haven't figured out any good shit with him, maybe I haven't played as him that much.
xlolxlolx Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 lol he has near 1 combo kill with shark super and his normals are pretty good future belphegor can get 70-80% hp meterless and lots of zoning options and tricks like 22A/B/C whiff into throw on wake up, but his supers suck pretty hard lambo is ezpz stuff into 236A/B/C will net over 60% hp and super version of it basically gets at least 80-90% byakuran has some pretty godlike moves and but knowing how many times to mash 5A for his combos is kinda hard to tell gamma is good if you use 214A/B/C alot, keeps you in blockstun for a good amount of time future ryouhei does good dmg also but you have to do j.C crossup in order to follow up with 5A ive gotten up to 20 hits total in corner with future hibari, it was like super>5AxN>2C>214A>5AxN>2C>214C
Ichipoo Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 Been playing it again for a bit and both Takeshis are really interesting characters to play as since they're not combo oriented like the majority of the cast but their source of damage is their long ranged and high damaging pokes. Playing both as them and against them is a test of your footsie game. I'm also loving how some of the moves are similar/borrowed from other fighting games, Tsuna's flash kick from Guile, Ginger Bread's aerial broom attacks are similar to Twelve from 3S and Arakune's aerial attacks, TYL Dino is clearly Dhalsim and Gamma is Venom. And after playing for a while, it seems that Lal Mirch is the character I'm going to be playing as a lot since I like her playstyle the most I like her for her dat ass and Zettai Ryouiki. xlol, where do you live? If you live near me (SoCal) we could play some Ad Hoc for the broken lulz.
xlolxlolx Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) future yamamoto has 2nd most hp in game i think, with ball gundam having the highest who easily has a 0:10 vs future bel lol. his moves have alot of active frames so theyre good at winning those clash counters and he can link close up 5B into 5A/2A squalo gets full kill on chrome with j.C>5Ax3>2B>super lol future hibari midscreen needle ball>5Ax3>2C>214A>5Ax4>2C>214C/22C 2nd hit = 21 hits, ~95-97% hp on chrome and gains back almost all his meter, corner ver needle ball>5Ax6>2C>214A>5Ax4>2C>214C/22C 2nd hit(proly will whiff on most ppl) = 19 hits, ~99% hp on chrome and gets back to full meter genkishi's 4C is a godlike anti air ill proly main either future hibari or future bel im in norcal and my friend accidentally deleted my jap ahp a couple months back and i forgot to redl it before psn died :[ Edited July 1, 2011 by xlolxlolx
Ichipoo Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 IIRC, you don't need Japanese AHP to play Japanese PSP games online, just good old AMERICAN AHP is good enough.
xlolxlolx Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 lol oh damn, lets try later i guess, ill add you on psn
Ichipoo Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 Wow I'm so slow. This game allows you to customize your character with different accessories and color palettes, like in Tekken 6. There's even a save replay option. Anyway is there any explanation with clashing in this game? While it's hilariously funny, there's sometimes trades that happen that are just downright stupid. And is there an easier way to gain meter? I find it dumb that you don't gain any when getting hit. And damn this game's music so fucking catchy.
xlolxlolx Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 lol clashing will happen as long as active frames are still going i think, like tsuna's 236 series is considered active as long as soon as you start chargng it up and you can spam 5A to clash with it lol. oh and throw clash is just hilarious you can gain meter by just whiffing specials lol, really good for chars with projectiles like future bel lulzy shit i messed around with: bel is a pretty good troll so.....
Ichipoo Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 bel is a pretty good troll so..... OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG YOU'RE A FUCKING GENIUS!
Ichipoo Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 yo get on so we can try some stuff out :PPerhaps starting on Monday or Tuesday because I can only move the modem when my parents aren't around.
xlolxlolx Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 :o you can use pc as wired connection if you have an extra ethernet cable
Ichipoo Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 :o you can use pc as wired connection if you have an extra ethernet cableAs a matter of fact, I do have another Ethernet cable, just found out lol. So how does it work? The computer the cable is connected to and the PS3 are in separate rooms.
xlolxlolx Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 lolz i guess it's not going to work for you, unless your cable is that long lolololol and i just messed around with future lambo.....oh god....screw gokudera, this guy can kill chrome in 4 hits and whiffing 214Cx3 = full meter for him, it's slayer on steroids. he can also link his 5C and 6C back into 2A....and all his other normals have really good recovery and can be used fo frame traps, mixups and raping that guard meter
furix Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Oh, so you guys are ad-hoc partying this after all? Tell me how it all goes, and maybe I'll try to jump in, too!
xlolxlolx Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 lol we're gonna try at least, this game's pretty fun to mess around with :P
Ichipoo Posted July 3, 2011 Author Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) lolz i guess it's not going to work for you, unless your cable is that long lolololol and i just messed around with future lambo.....oh god....screw gokudera, this guy can kill chrome in 4 hits and whiffing 214Cx3 = full meter for him, it's slayer on steroids. he can also link his 5C and 6C back into 2A....and all his other normals have really good recovery and can be used fo frame traps, mixups and raping that guard meterGood lord. You mean to tell me that handsome cowman has REVERSE BEATS? And lol, guess you've been using Chrome as a dummy to see which combos can kill her in one shot like me as well? Poor Chrome, it's funny because she's been "booru'd" more than the other girls in Reborn! Anyway off to find more broke shit and read the manga. Also, is there a way to punish a Tsuna who just flashkicks all day? Seems that the pushback it gives to the defender pushes them far enough so that they can't capitalize it. Only times I punished it was timing a meaty grab on wakeup since grabs have clashing properties as well for some hilarious reason but that's not 100% reliable. Edited July 3, 2011 by Ichipoo
xlolxlolx Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) projectile on wake up is the most reliable, especially cow man's 22A at the correct distance has enough hitstun to let you get in a j.C>5C>236C for like over 60% hp lol cow man's 2 combo kill setup is 6C>2A>2B->22A(charged)>j.C>5C>236C(charged) needs 214Cx2 for the specials and wonderful thing about charged 22A is that it's a low hit lol, kills everyone except yamamoto and ryouhei who are left at like 3% hp lol and j.C>5C on gundam doesnt seem to work cuz of it's weird hitbox and pushback from groggy state, if 22A gets blocked you can still do j.C and that = plenty of bullshit like 2A>4C>2A>6C>2A>etc lololol Edited July 3, 2011 by xlolxlolx
xlolxlolx Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) let's see.......... tsuna: 2B>4C/5A/2A, 4B(has to hit low)>5A/2A/6B/4C, 5C>5A/2A, gokudera: 2B>5A/2A, 6B>5A>2A yamamoto: 5B>5A/2A, 2B>5A/2A hibari: none future hibari: none lambo: 5C>5A/2A, 6C>5A/2A mukuro: none chrome: 6C>5A ryouhei: 5B>5A/2A, 2B>5A/2A, 5C>5A/2A/5B, 2C>5A, 6C>5B lal: 4B>2A xanxus: none future mukuro: none byakuran: none gamma: 4C>5A genkishi: none gingerbread: 5B>5A gundam: none future bel: 5B>5A, 6B>2B/5C/2C, 5C>5A future squalo: 4C>5A/2A, 5B>2A future xanxus: 6B>5A/2A, 4B>2B, 2C>5A/2A/5B/2B/6B/4B/4C, 4C>2B(this is actually the 4B motion but deals more dmg and 4C pushback makes it harder to connect 2B) future dino: 5B>2B, 6C>5A/2A/5B/2B/4B lol future yamamoto: 5B>5A/2A, 2B>5A/2A future gokudera: 2B>5A/2A, 6B>5A>2A future ryouhei: 5B>5A/2A, 2B>5A/2A, 5C>5A/2A/5B, 2C>5A christ that was alot of work.....
