Takes forever to learn a stick. I bought one a few months ago to learn how to use and and lo and behold I'm still a pad player :vbang:

Or maybe I just don't have the time and dedication to learn one atm derp.

Speaking of the pad......is there any major difference between the ps3 and 360 controller in terms of how forgiving it is for inputs?

Although I can say that the ps3 probably has the best D-pad of any consolve i've played.

The main difference between the Dualshock 3 and 360 D-pad:

360 D-pad: will leave your left thumb in a broken, twisted, mangled state, a red ruin of mockery unto its former self, covered with exploded blisters and festering pus, where cruel flesh clings tenuously to bone.

Dualshock 3: Pretty comfortable, actually.

Eh, bring yourself down like that, and you'll stay like that. Keep a more positive outlook. Lol pretty sure you can keep up to the level most average players are.

Also I'm pretty sure Reikomaru is already a member on the fb group. Am familiar with his icon and got that hunch :v:

anyhow, welcome to the thread >u<

Hello there! Yup! I've already joined the FB group. I'm the Plat who back-rolls into the corner and can never combo 5C>236B (Heart Carz) or do any 214 motion on my Virra-mall PS3 stick. Am still a stick-user though.:toot:

Heeeeeeeey, I used to use the Xbox360 D-pad back at BB:CT.

I used Nu-13...

Well Xbox 360 DPAD is horrible while its Analog Stick is way better than the PS3.

And if you are going to get a cheap stick for the PS3/PC get the iCORE stick for 1200 somewhere in virramall.

My right hand is already sort of like that so yeah....I guess I don't want it to happen to my left too

Anyway I think I already asked this before but are the keychains that are going to be sold at otaku expo limited? (and if they are how limited?)

Still planning about that. I've kind of set it to 10 per character at the moment unless lolfunds.

Also about the stick? I hear you, I hear you.

@ANTOWN:

Okay, Gelo told me the juice.

I think what they meant about that is selling keychains WITH the official art on it. Meaning, we get a sprite of Tsubaki, print it then turn it into a keychain; that's the wrong one. What we're doing is drawing our own chibis of the BlazBlue characters into keychains. That way, we're not necessarily breaking the copyright. Other stalls sell keychains of Naruto, Hetalia, Bleach, Dissidia, etc. but since it's their own drawing with their own hardwork, it's allowed. For as long as we don't steal the direct art from BB itself, I think we're fine. We're making chibi versions of the characters based from their character select screen portrait so yeah. Unless they made a new rule with selling keychains in cons.

We're at a con. a con where people sell their artwork in different forms (keychains). People sell copyrighted character artworks BUT in their own rendition. I don't see why we can't sell these stuff (well what i was originally planning for was just use them keychain/pins for prizes but... our artists don't have the magical well of money so they need to at least be able to cancel out their expenses) and if we're still not allowed to sell artists "original" fanart, then I think it's kinda unfair.

Though who am I to say it's unfair since we're freeloading on convention space anyway hahaha!

anyway, good evening. gusto ko lang magpaka komunista saglit xD

3 Match Sets with players:

McArthur - Bang

Mer - Jin

Aile - Mu12/Makoto

Chase - too busy @ Training mode

@Raviel:

You can do the first 6C>dash>5C right? The second one should just be around the same timing as the first one and instead of just 5C do j.C

Greetings,

Is it ok for us to sell blazblue related materials such as fan-made shirts during a convention?

thanks,

Duqs

Dear Duqs,

Thank you for your support for our products.

Regarding your inquiry, you must not sell any blazblue related materials.

If you do, you will conflict with our copyright.

Thank you for your understanding,

Best Regards,

Isako

Up to you guys, check nalang the links in case may mahanapan kayong butasjlp-law and wiki (admittedly yung jlp mas text based siya, but graphic work follows the same rules as well).

As for the 'just because I'm in a convention'. To begin with, bawal yun. Even Komikon has rules regarding selling work that doesnt belong to them (since summer 2008 i think, Here is a copy of their rules). Kaya nakakalusot si CSCentral is because of distribution rights, pero pede parin siyang samapahan ng kaso ng piracy ng mga publishers. They arent doing it because its costly to do it, especially sa ibang bansa pa sila (mas madali pag first world country magsampa). US based companies (Marvel, DC, Disney) are very particualr about their copyright work. Kaya bihira ka makakakita ng fan-based work. Jap companies are more lenient though (comiket, et al) because they know that its ambient advertising for them. Iba iba yan kada kumpanya.

Recommendation ko ay use it only for prizes. So far we can charge for side events like that arcade station for free (unless Ozine decides to charge us all of a sudden). And if they do decide to charge us, we'll still profit from the "No-wait" Arcade station since P5 kada game siya (100games = 500pesos) and I do think na even us community members will avail of this service as well. 100games is easily attainable if 2 rounds parin setting nya.

Just as an addendum: no, guys, we cannot hide behind fair-use laws. The moment we are selling it for cold, hard cash, all pretentions to fair-use disappear entirely. To clarify my stance on this, it's quite obvious that no one is going to sue a tiny set-up like ours, especially not a Japanese company, who are notoriously lenient on copyright to the point of unspoken policy (see: Comiket) BUT:

  • Companies often protect trademark because if they don't, they lose their trademark. Simple as that. See: the case with Games Workshop having to shut down the Warhammer 40,000 fan movie, even if they liked it, and the much more recent case between Notch (of Minecraft fame) vs. Bethesda.
  • We're running this thing inside a con, which means if there is a chance (however minutely remote) that there is a legal problem, it has to go through them, creating headaches for many people that they'd rather not have (by dint of legal risk, they must have a lawyer ready, which means a legal fee allowance, which means uggghhhhhh). And the con's higher-ups have said that they don't want this thing on their house. While it might seem a bit strange, all they're trying to do is covering their legal behinds, and there is nothing at all you can fault them for on that score. Their house, their rules.

All in all, might not be the best of ideas, but using them as a simple prize is definitely okay. Ball's in your court gentlemen.

May nagtanong na ba sa mga Ozine organizers tungkol dyan sa ibebenta nating keychains? Gaya nga ng sabi ni Raf kung ok sa kanila edi go go go lang kung di pwede edi wag.

@Duqs

OR MAS MAGANDA! ituro nyo ko pag may nagalit! NYAHAHAHAHA :lol:

Are we selling marijuana, Illegal game copy (PC LEAK), Un registered Arcsys T-shirt, bootleg material collection artbook?

OH~Great a small keychain hurting a Big company ... That's like putting me to jail because of Raping children everytime I played an eroge.

It's scary to think thats probably pretty tame compared to some really extreme eroge (btw I don't play though my friend does)

on an unrelated note......cannot unsee :psyduck:

EDIT: Just throwing out a random suggestion: how about just playing it safe and giving them as prizes like someone suggested?

@Bert

Shirts, keychains, books, etc are all considered as copyrightable materials by definition under the law. In marketing, shirts are one of the best benchmark when asking that type of questions relating use of copyrighted stuff for promotions since keychains might have a different value for the japan market or other markets (like cellphone straps, stickers, wall scrolls, mugs, place mats, dakimakura, etc). They replied 'ANY bb-related material'. Thus they had things such as keychains and other stuff like fan artbooks in mind and out of curiousity which permit are you talking about?

I wouldnt ask Ozine if Arc Sys said no already. D=

@Mark

I agree that its making a mountain out of a mole hill and I can relate na its just a keychain. Yes i think Arc Sys (thanks michi sa spelling clarification XD) won't be spending big bucks just to put make a case out of keychains from a foreign country being sold for 100-200y (price subject to change XD).

However, I think we also have to respect the wishes of Arc Sys since they have said no already.

You want to show you some extreme Cunt busting eroge ? I have a couple of list here.

OHHH I forgot ....

ITS ILLEGAL ~

depending on your region btw
