I'm thinking about importing this game. From looking at the trailers it looks pretty cool. Is it worth the $58 price tag? And does anybody have some links to some match videos (can't find any)? I want to see a real pro play this game, not the trailer people.

I don't have links to match videos, but this game is pretty awesome. I only play one character though, and that is #18, her combos are good and all that. I am wondering if to get the japanese version of wait for the american release, though I am thinking that the american release will have english voices... and I wouldn't want that.

Lol the game is goood as shit. I got the Jap Verison and you can really pull off some F***d Combo. Sadly the game can be cheap sometimes but its still good

http://kainuma.sakura.ne.jp/dbz/ Here is a good site for match videos.

#18 is cheap as fuck, I love her. I am guessing she's pretty high up there in the tiers. A cheap good combo is.. make sure you have her QCBx2+P super, combo into it, then

Dash HP > LP > HP > restart chain LP > HP > HP xx QCFx2+P

Why import is when you can get it domestically (it's comming out in the US on the 18th of July)

I like Japanese Voiceovers :P. Plus I'm trying to add more games other than Slash to my Japanese PS2.

And thx for the response furix and beat.

Wow that was fast.

Anyone got combos for #17?

#17 plays almost like #18, maybe that combo I listed for 18 works with 17, i haven't tried myself though. Pozer, planning on getting the U.S. version instead? I think I will, and I am sure I'll play you so it'd be better if we both played the same version.

I have the jap version you sent me (was it you?) and the learning curve is a real bitch. Overall, it does not seem like a bad game...

The game is pretty good, but some of the combos are hard to pull off. There is some stuff to learn like the jump, dash cross up. And some combos are hard to pull because of the dashing after sending them up. So you are playing on the japanese version? Not the pal preview version? I've been playing the pal preview, but I think I'll get the U.S. version when it comes out here.

number 17 and number 18, they both have that combo, and it isn't that cheap because you can easily move away from the third hit and punish them.

Chi Chi combos? Oh man, you are in for some heavy training. Hmm.. I'll see what I can post.

I tried playing Piccolo yesterday and I couldn't get his jumping heavy attack to bounce the opponent. Is there some special condition or way to do it? Whenever I land it, opponents just crash into the ground and don't bounce. And anyone got a movelist?

if u checked the srk dbz thread i posted the chi chi combos and explanation how to do them for pozerwolf.

I found these, somewhere. I haven't tested them, yet. O:

Android 17/18:

ff+H L,H L,H (L+B) ff+L L,H Super move

ff+H (L+B) L,H (L+B) L,H Super move

ff+H L,H (L+B) L,H (L+B) L,H Super move

EDIT:

Okay, I tried them out. They're good and easy to do, just hold foward while you're doing them.

For the first one, if you have super cancel, skip the last two attacks (L,H) and super cancel his projectile into his ultimate move. It's does, like, half a bar on Goku with my BP3,000,000 17. Iduno exactly how BP factors in, though.

The other two are basically the same damn thing. Just repeat the process as many times as you want, and then when you run out of action, kick out as super.

Anyway, I was watching this video and I saw 17 do this arial combo that involved his jumping H attack. Anybody know what this is?

Aww, thanks for the combo.

So what is the difference between 16 and 17?

You mean 17 and 18? As far as I know, their QCB moves are different, Im not sure, though. I tried playing 18 and it didn't feel entirely the same. Im no expert, though, I've only had the game for 2 days.

16's a fucking powerhouse from what I've seen in videos. Just ram them into a wall and use that triple throw move.

Does anybody know if BP affects anything? I've heard that it increases your attack, but Im not sure. I just assumed it was a ranking system.

Yeah, I experienced the same thing when I tried to combo off of it. I'm not 100% sure, since I don't use Piccolo anymore, but I would guess that you would need the Impact Up skill on your skill card.

That would make the most sense since whenever I played Piccolo, I never played him with his character data. But jeez, I guess they make you build your character to do even the most simplest of things. Thanks for the answer.
