Hah. I wonder how long that'll last. Jin, Makoto, and Noel are C tier. Tager is, get this, A tier. -- Also, apparently, Tsubaki is super-low tier on the love tier list, below even Arakune (the beast (of love)!). -- Man, jbbs tier lists are sorta awesome. We need to re-open the dustloop tier list thread for amazing discussion. LuminAbyss Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Seems the only thing everyone could really agree on was Valkenhayn and Ragna are top at the moment, which I understand, since they were also the most unchanged from CS2. I personally believe Jin is gonna move up, though I can understand why the Japanese are placing him so low right now, he doesn't seem as spectacular as half the cast.

I'd suggest we construct our own love tier lists, but that type of discussion doesn't belong in this forum, and it'd just get destroyed in the general forum. She'll probably still end up really good with time (she'll never be CS1 Rachel bad man. Never.) I think Ragna's placement is hilarious, you'd think they'd learn with everytime they placed him this high CS2 was the only time he wasn't placed high at the very beginning, but even then, they were underestimating him big time. It's like they either put him too high or too low. Of course, since he is rocking really good damage this time around while still keeping his CS2 design, I wouldn't be surprised if he landed in A tier undisputed once people finally figure out more about the game. Valk is I'm surprised Relius isn't usually placed higher, I saw one list put him at B.

Ragna and Valkenhayn are top at the moment because they were the least changed from CS2, hence everyone already knew all their tricks. Other chars need to be figured out (again). Characters like Carl and Litchi naturally climb the tier lists as time passes, the way they're designed just doesn't let them be garbage. Ragna usually drops a lot from his original position, he is just too basic in a game full of gimmicks. But I think it won't be that bad this time around. Valkenhayn will probably stay where he is, his movement options and mixups are way too fucking good. Tager A can't be true really, he still suffers from all his old weaknesses. But I believe it's safe to assume he's not rockbottom anymore. He still does ass damage on average but he can at least confirm real combos from jumpins and A starters as long as the opponent is magnetized (and builds tons of meter). 3C special cancel is really an essential buff to him. Also, Relius is S Tier imo. He does everything that Carl does - but he's better at everything (better normals, higher damage, faster puppet, doll meter recharges faster, has more life, etc etc).

I doubt Rachel is S because she still has obvious bad match ups like Mu, Lambda, Hazama, Litchi. Characters who are S typically only have maybe one or two bad match ups. Unless even though she has been overall nerfed she somehow gained match ups that are really lopsided in her favor (somehow I don't think that Makoto, Noel, and Tsubaki's nerfs have been that drastic). And I have a hard time believing Noel is C tier. Her cheese got toned down, but they didn't change anything drastic. Her overall damage is actually higher because she can get 3k off of air hits now.

The only link I'd want is the one to the love tiers, anyway, because that sounds amazing. Also, I'm pretty iffy on Relius being S tier. I don't think he's bad, but I'm not convinced he's overwhelmingly strong, either. Going to have to wait for the game to come out stateside to see, I guess. And I'm standing by Rachel probably settling into A-tier. Her tools are likely to keep her around there, as long as they don't get nerfed into oblivion CS1-style. The only reason I can see her not being in A-tier is if the majority of the rest of the cast somehow gets projectile invuln (ie: Platinum's pogo, Hakumen's Kishuu, Ragna's Carnage Scissors) that actually means anything worthwhile against zoning (scratch everything but Kishuu from that list) and can get in on her for free. Did someone mention my waifu? Oh Tager suddenly you are scary close up...like you were supposed to be in the first place. 4th times the charm I guess . I love the guy but I admit, his weaknesses will keep him from really being A tier. But actually having legit pressure and meter gain for once in his goddamn life will be wonderful thing. Though seeing him as anything but low will take some getting used to. I just hope tier whores don't flood him, dammit I mained him BEFORE he was good. Litchi couldn't be C tier again like CT I think the easy mode air loops in CS2 made the Litchi players complacent, they will figure her out again eventually. Noel will probably end up the same way. People are still learning, I don't go by any list. Certainly not ones just made of opinion. The best part, how can Rachel be s tier when the nurfed her far more then they buffed her? Still strong but she has been toned down more then anything else

I am still trying to comprehend Rae-Rae's basics, so CSex I am basically relearning the both of them, but since she hasn't been changed too much I can start studying in my down time now... if I had enough free to do so. Can't go shying down a challenge either way! I like to think they took 10% of Rachel's combo rating and gave it to Tager

Cat Chair Personally, I don't consider that to be a very important nerf, in that it doesn't really affect her play style. All I do with the move in CS2 is spam-abuse it and troll people, anyway.
