  5. So you want to play games in SATX? Here is some info: Dreamonoid's Weekly tournament's are run every Saturday night at 9:00 PM Central Time. Tournaments are streamed on their channel and Challonge bracket's can be found the same day. For the past 2 tournaments, we have run Guilty Gear Xrd with extra setups running BBCPEX, UNIEL, and sometimes P4U2.   8. I think 2S > 2H is worth having even without meter to YRC. The reward just for attempting 2S is well worth the risk: On CH you get an easy confirm, net a ton of damage, get meter, and rack up the stun meter. At the very least, you are getting some meter even if it gets blocked. On whiff, yes it's highly punishable, but I think it's well worth the risk to keep your opponent's approaches honest. 2S YRC is very strong yes but I don't think counting out 2S > 2H meterless outright is the right call to make.
  9. Well, for some people such as myself, I'm playing Ramlethal since Dizzy is yet to be playable. Ended up liking the character so it's nice to have a sub to fall back on if Dizzy is playable soon.
  10. I don't know of anyone else besides Daiji, Karinchu, Dei... probably they have moved on from Ramlethal... For NA, I have only spotted a couple of Ram players in tournament... Pain, TheArm05... ??? I feel like Ram is still underexplored so I still play her and have been learning new stuff in newer match-ups. 2S/2H is stupid good and is a centerpiece for certain match-ups that I used to have trouble with.
  11. Yeah this is the most radical change lol Could be good. But one thing is for sure... pumpkin was a really, really good tool. Hoping the new moveset and possibly other changes sculpt a less wind dependent neutral game.

  14. What is your end goal? Having a clear endpoint to work towards will help not only yourself, but for others trying to reply with their own advice. If your goal is to make "correct" decisions from a fundamental perspective, then it will necessarily involve playing other players without knowing a clear answer at first. You use casual matches to determine the holes in your own play. How you determine what needs fixing is as complex as you want it to be. Remember, fundamentals isn't just about normals, defending, and hit-confirming. It's also the application of those tools keeping in mind the risk/reward of using those tools. What I mean is, a good/bad decision cannot be determined without the HUD. If you took away the numbers / lifebars / status info. it's really hard to judge what is helping you win and conversely, what is making you lose. I hope this helps :V

Is this what your combo looks like? counterhit 6A > J.C~2D > jc9 > j.C |> dash 6A > 4B > dash 5B > 6A > A Lobelia > dash 3C > Sword Iris This combo works. if you are going for rising j.C to down-wind falling j.C for re-juggle, you don't need to hold C since jump-cancelling accomplishes the same thing when coupled with the downward wind.

  19. When 3C connects you have to cancel on the 2nd or 3rd hit for the Sword Iris lightning to combo. Try that and see if it works. Hopefully it does. If 3C cannot connect, look at the height and make sure they are not too low. You can delay the combo parts prior to the 3C to compensate for height issues.
  20. Nothing new but... having jump cancel normals on OD I think aiming for full OD BBL hits is much easier. Summary is that: OD BBL (if you get full hits) = Normal BBL + 3 Rods https://youtu.be/zl-GFxAW2-c Wind Regen during OD is ridiculously fast so you could feasibly use a lot of wind to burst for high damage and then end the combo with max damage OD BBL + some wind leftover for oki
  21. Look at your height when j.C hits. If the opponent is higher than you, delay j.236C a bit. In training mode, use the untech visual cue to help with the timing (really fast green bar that appears during hitstun). Generally speaking, you can take your time with j.C > j.236C. Hope this helps.
  22. Regarding the OtakuCafe rules for BBCPEX: 1. Why are button macros not allowed? If we have pad players these macros are legitimately used and should not be disallowed. 2. Stage selection is fine, but what about song selection? See you all there lol.
