i will waste my time learning those trash like hellsfang 22c and hellsfang ID is not that hard especially hellsfang 22c you just have to get a hang on it and by the time you know the timing it will be as easy as a breeze

I know exactly what you were saying without having to reword it, I just don't think it's trash.

Half the stuff we learn as players, we won't always use anyway, but it's good to know about them just incase we are in the situation. Fair enough about the thread being long, or that the combo is not beneficial, but it's not trash.

What's the point of learning who 3C - 214C works on with Jin then? What makes that any different from this?

NO need to list every situation. Just from practical starters and consistent confirms like overhead 6B, 5B 5C 2D (RC) combos...

You can live without it just fine though.

given how hard the execution is, how much stuff you'll have to memorize (especially the character specific stuff), the amount of risk that it entails (unless you're trying to do hell's fang > 22C, in which case why do you need to remember stuff, just do it), and how little reward it all offers...

i dunno, i'd say it's pretty trash.

What's the point of learning who 3C - 214C works on with Jin then? What makes that any different from this?

3C - 214C is easy to do with jin. 214C gets more heat and does better damage than 214B. therefore, it's worth the jin player's time to know who 3C - 214C works on.

whereas hell's fang - ID offers, what, extra heat? not really worth it when i can get 50 heat from just about any combo.

I don't think HF > ID is worth the trouble either, unless you can do it perfectly every time on any character (good luck with that). If you drop it you're fucked.

theres a huge difference between bnbs and optional combo routes.....

tagging on hf be4 dp punch adds on less than 200 dmg and the 10 extra meter isnt rly worth the possibility of dropping the combo

Oh, anyone interested in a throw combo in the corner that does 4102 dmg?

5A+B - 5C - 5D(1) - DS - delay 5C - jump cancel - j.C - j.D - jump cancel - j.C - j.D - belial - 5D - cID - upper - wall bound - CU 3C - 22C

I've gotten this to work on relius and Jin so far, will test on the whole cast soon. Also if you are too slow with the CU 3C, they will be able to tech, so it's important to do it fast. I think this might be character specific too :( as it may depend on characters falling hitboxes.

EDIT: this combo DOESN'T work on tager and hakumen. Also note that if you do forward throw into 5C, it will blue beat on tager, hakumen and valkenhayn if their back is to the corner completely.

Leave some space between these characters and the wall to give you time to recover from the throw so you can do 5C.

And yeah you have to do the CU 3C really fast.

Damage: 4102

Heat: 48

I prefer j.C j.D j.D instead because you can do D divider with that proration :kitty:

pretty sure this hasn't been posted/discussed yet, but i'm a little far behind by about two months or so

214B RC > late j.dash j.C > j.D > dash 5D(1) > 214D > dash 5C > aerial stuff

this does work against everyone and it works in midscreen. the timing's a bit iffy but it's not to the point where the combo's impractical. i've been able to pull it off quite a few times consecutively on several characters.

Well, I didn't know of it, at least. Will definitely try it when I get back home.

Here's a different version I use for an extra dash cancel's worth of corner carry: 214B RC air dash j.C j.D 5D (2) dash cancel 5C j.D jump cancel j.D 214C (At corner) 6B 214D 623D 236C 236C 3C ~

Ehhh I forgot about Dead Spike's carry midscreen. I'll test both combos when I get back just to make sure but I guess this really makes the DS version much better other than in terms of ease of execution.

EDIT: Wow k this thing isn't even that hard, great find KF. As we discussed on IRC can be done after other falling j.Ds as well.

Been know for some time, just check the OP, it's the best midscreen GH combo.

There's this cool combo with AD j.D

5B 6A IAD delay j.A delay j.D 5D... Not sure, but DS might be possible after 5D(1).

What's Ragna's best meterless damage right now? Cause I found a rather funny fatal combo. Works on Hazama, Ragna, Mu, Tao, Lambda, Makoto, Bang, Hakumen, and Tager. Basically anyone who can be 5A'd after 22C on fatal.

Corner Needed

FC 2C > 5C > 6C > 5C > 5D(1) > 214D > dash 3C > 22C > dash 5A > 5C > 6C > DC > 6D > j.C > j.214C > 6B > 2C > 5D(2) > 623C > 236C > 236C > cross under 3C > 22C

Damage: 6.3k

Meter Gain: 65 Heat

Replace 22C with Carnage Scissors and it becomes 6.9k.

Should you want to BK this up:

Notes:

-22C dash 5A on Rachel is really odd. Usual "dash 5A" won't work due to the lack of momentum, and consequently, distance required for 5A. The way to make it work is inputting dash during 22C recovery and then, throw out a delayed 5A.

-Tsuika delay must be very brief. Too soon it whiffs, too late it won't hit properly.

For the last Combo, you have to delay 214B.

Do it early and they will be able to tech.
