The third novel did wonder to me: Jin is trying his best to look away from Noel's ass, which is right next to his face, and focuses on Tsubaki ( I saw her leg at the far right).

I have always been happy to look at the covers until Noel showed up and fucked really hard with her roler coaster spine.

Actually it looks more like he's looking at Ragna, which makes sense considering they're parallel to each other on the covers.

If you notice, you can see Tsubaki's leg right under Ragna's chest and near Jin's face.

I'm sorry, this is kind of a stupid question so I didn't think it was appropriate for the story thread. In this picture, are the red arrows pointing to Jubei's hair? Because to me...it looks a lot like long hair worthy of a L'oreal commercial. I know Tomonori and the Kakas had long hair, but it just seems strange to imagine Jubei like that.

Yes, but I didn't really imagine him to have long flowing hair under the hood or the armor he wears in the novels. I didn't think he had human-like hair despite the existence of his brother and the Kakas. It's just kind of funny.

I don't think Jubei has any hair under the hood. This concept art shows what Jubei looks like without his hood (the sketch in the background). Hopefully this clears things up. :3 I've always imagined Jubei as looking like an ordinary cat underneath his hood. Having human hair would be weird.

The concept art is just a doodle from the CS Setting Material Collection, and it's not like doodles or concept art haven't been retconned. Info from the first SMC was retconned in later collections, even stuff from the timeline. That picture is from Phase Shift 4 and was published after the CSSMC too. If it isn't hair, then it must be a wig or something--which begs the question of why he's wearing a wig at that time.

Having human hair would be really weird yeah, but Jubei's own brother has white, human-like hair poking out from his hood. Admittedly it doesn't look nearly as strange on him as it does on Jubei.

@Yakuzu: It's not so much that I'm amused how he could fit all that under a hood or a helmet, but rather that I'm amused that it's Jubei. I just never really pictured Jubei with long hair, much less hair like that.

Is "Cipher Alver" that glasses guy who paralyzed Jin? Mai is very good analyzing her surroundings. She also starting to have her suspicions for Yukinesa's words and the Nox Nytores. Oh yeah, Noel used Bolverk. This chapter seems to drag Mai in more deeper into the Blazblue storyline.

Summary?

Jin, in his berserk state, attacks Mai.

Taro jumps in and uses his "string" ars magus to try and hold back Jin, which fails because Jin's Sekkajin too strong.

Mai is contacted by someone telepathically, telling Mai to run away.

Jin chases after Mai and shoots a few Hishoukens.

Taro jumps in and protects Mai.

Jin uses Touga Hyojin, misses and is then about to use it again until out of nowhere Noel comes and uses Optic Barrel.

Using the distraction, Taro successfully binds Jin in string and then a mysterious man comes in and puts Jin to sleep with an ars magus spell.

The man turns out to be Cipher Alvar, a lecturer at the military academy and also a "genius alchemist". He was also the person who contacted Mai telepathically earlier in the chapter.

The chapter ends with Cipher's internal monologue, noting "two Nox Nyctores" and "a girl with a grimoire dwelling inside her".

Other attacks used by Jin in this chapter: his 6B, 5C, unlimited version of his 2D and Fubuki.
