So I did read all the changes for HOS in AC about three times but I need to know about: 1. How much does doing Tyrant Rave and Savage Fang deplete the charge meter? Or does the meter just keep on decreasing at the same speed regardless? 2. How does Dragon Install work? I never used it Slash but I wanna use it in AC. 3. Now that Sol can charge cancel his normals does that mean his 2HS can be charge-cancelled? Cuz I saw nothing on that. 4. And finally just how many moves can be done before the charge meter drops a level? I mean can he do 2 BHBs then BRP on lvl 2 without charging?

1. It depletes the charge meter like any other move, I believe.

2. It doesn't. This move sucks, and is only for showing off. Although, in AC, it's supposedly easier to do.

3 and 4. Dunno, lol

Aea: Considering you can combo into DI in AC and it still does a formidable chunk of damage even on a full-life character, it doesn't quite fit into the useless category anymore. 2HS isn't cancellable normally, so you can't charge cancel it (that would be busted anyway). As for how many moves you can do, it depends on the move you did along with exactly how much meter you have charged. In one vid you can see him do level 3 Rock It into level 3 Storm Viper and then level 2 Tyrant Rave, but that's with a completely maxed out charge meter.

1. it depends on how much of the charge gauge u have..it drains after the use of a move. i was able to pull off a lv3 tyrant rave into a lv2 savage fang wit a fully charged gauge...

2. i still dont see it being all that useful as of yet, and i dont think he needs it all that bad quite frankly imo. i could be wrong...it does the dmg but not worth the meter u could use for rushing n such. yes i kno it combos in this game, but u could user ur meter for other things...

3. no, no he cant CC that

4. depends on the move, u can get 2 lv3s i belive...i'm pretty sure i've done 2 lv3 blockheads in a row. i could be mistaken but i'll double check that tonite...

I saw a vid of HOS vs Chipp AC. What I saw was HOS do 5S,5S,6HS AS A COMBO. Can AC HOS connect 6HS after moves like 5s,5s, or 6hs without need of a CH?

question about action charging. have 299% and do a level 3 move but don't action charge at all, will it stop at 99% or 0%? and where will the gaudge be the next time you AC?

Posted

If you have 299% and you do a level 3 without AC, it should stop at 99%. If you AC after this, it should go to 179% since AC gives 80% (so you'd be at level 2 and 21% away from level 3).

cool thats good to know. thanx TB. i saw in a match vid of Kaqn's HOS; j.HS, j.D, JC, j.HS, j.D, lvS(in corner), land, c.S, SJC, j.S, j.HS, j.D, lv1BRP. is there less recovery on lv2SV now? i've only been able to land c.S after a Lv2 Strom Viper in the corner while their still on the ground... i also noticed that Kaqn always Charges after a 2D, dose this have faster recovery? being able to do Lv1 moves at Lv2 or 3 is cool. but broke as fuck!

Supposedly (and from the look of it) Lvl2 Storm Viper has an increased untechable time on the third hit. It's unknown as to what else, if anything, you can follow up with it, but getting a super jump finisher like that can only mean good things. As for Charge Cancelling 2D: In Slash you're only at -1 frames if you let it finish (on guard) and it has 14 frames of recovery with 4 active frames. If Charge Cancelling finishes in around 13 or so frames you should be able to at least be in a neutral state (+0) after doing it. May even end in frame advantage if you start Charge Cancel on the first active frame of 2D. Of course, that's assuming Charge Cancel takes 13 frames (it's probably much shorter). Aside from that though, you have a little mindgame as to whether you'll continue charging a little longer than usual, continue your offense, or Charge Burst if you expect a poke. It's dirty. And about using Lvl1 specials with Lvl2/Lvl3 meter: Yeah, it gives HOS alot of leeway on his specials. He only needs to use Lvl3 specials to start/continue combos; he can conserve and manage meter so well now. Let the awesome begin.

Yes, double posting is horrible and I should be shot. However, just a small bit of info: it seems you CAN use Lvl1 GunBlaze when you have Lvl2/Lvl3 meter, as showcased by one of the vids in today's gamechariot updates. Enjoy your Lvl1 GunBlaze.

Posted

You are correct, sir. The reason they initially thought this was not possible was because if you do 214S+D, you get a Charge, not a Gun Blaze. This has to do with button priority (if you press S+D at the same time, you will get a Dust because the D button has higher "priority" than the S button). The trick to doing a level 1 Gun Blaze is that you have to be holding the button down beforehand and then do 214S while holding D.

Posted

Okay so you're telling me you can do five Gunblazes in a row now, just to screw with people? Like 3-1-2-1-2, if the charge guage works the way I think it does? Not that its practical, I'm just wondering if its possibe. About using the Lv.1 moves, couldn't you just sort of buffer it, and go 236D+S? Sounds a bit easier to me than having to keep D held down, though I guess you could always start off with a 2D.

Sorry if i'm interrupting anything, but I just saw in that Tougeki Damashii or whatever it's called video, in the OS portion, he does a DI, but when the last part hits, there is a super flare. Did they just add that in because, or can you do an additional tension burn for more damage?

I guess thats just added in to make it look pretty,

+Remember DI takes 100% tension,

so there can be no extra tension burn.

Aea: that's OS's default DI. The IK is appended only if your opponent has less then 50% health when you initiated it. So if you face a gold char in the arcade... this move will kill them where other moves won't:P

HOS's 5HS does 1 hit only... Is this good or bad? Cuz the cpu in / would stop blocking after the 1st hit of 5HS and then attck like Johnny doing a 632146>HS....ouch

HOS's 5HS does 1 hit only... Is this good or bad? This is bad(1 hit, huh)...and good(cuz, this 1 hit = 5lvl attack. counter hit = pain)

The badass Rock It: Faster startup: I love that. But I have a concern about Rock It. / Rock It can be out poked not to mention hit with 5D. Is this true also with ^C Rock It? And BHB having less range and less hits....I understand that this could be because of the new charge system. So does this mean that BHB is worse than / BHB? Cuz when I saw Kaqn fight Shadow I saw a lvl.1 BHB and that shit was f-ing HUGE. Reminded me of Sol's FB Fafnir > Tyrant Rave.

mb somebody already said in this tread, but i don't seen it(

in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ7Sezy-49c (ed vs or (shadow vs kaqn))

1:40

kaqn throws shadow in corner and makes combo, and ends it with br lv.2

both hits succesful connects, hos charges... ta-dam, eddie makes recovery ^^

so, wft was that? 2nd hit of loses its kd property in ac?(

if that so (and its so, as your seen), mb TB will add this change in or ac changes tread?

ps: mb somebody already told this... if so, you can say that i'm must drink some poisom and kill myself by wall )

Quick AC HOS question: In a recent match of Yukinose (Testament) vs kaqn (HOS) kaqn gets this combo in: Throw (wall stick) dash j.HS, j.D, dj.HS, j.D land 5S©, HJC hj.S, j.HS, j.D, dj.HS (which ends up whiffing) Where did he get the JI from? Did he use something like 5S© JC HJC into hj.S... ?

Posted

That was exactly what he did. He Super/High Jump Installed 5S©. You do it via tapping up just as the 5S hits and then super jumping immediately out of it.

How easy is it to get it down consistently and is it worth the effort? I'm not having much luck with it.
