Registration Deadline: 6PM Tournament Starts: 6PM Location: Arcade UFO 3101 Speedway Austin, TX, 78705 BBCS:EX Ranbat Schedule: 5.1: Sunday, Jan 22nd 5.2: Sunday, Feb 5th 5.3: Sunday, Feb 19th 5.4: Sunday, Mar 4th 5.5: Sunday, Mar 18th ======================= Rules: Tournament format is 1v1 No Seeding Each match in the tournament is a 2/3 game set Single Elimination Top 8 is Double Elimination Within a 2/3 set, you must keep your character if you win but may switch if you lose. If you are suspected of cheating, aka intentionally losing/throwing a match to affect point standings, you may be disqualified from Ranbat series prizes at our discretion. Points are awarded as follows: 1st (10 points), 2nd (7 points), 3rd (5 Points), 4th (3 Points), 5th (2 Points), 7th (1 Point) ======================= Single Elimination Why Single Elimination? We are doing Single Elimination for these events for several reasons: the frequency of the events, the cheap entry fee, and to keep the time-commitment low for everyone. This will keep the matches exciting and you won't have to stay up too late to experience the whole thing! Top 8 If you make it to Top 8, the bracket will be reset and become a standard 2/3 Double Elimination format. This is so we can get accurate point standings, and give it the feel of a bigger tournament! With all this said, UMVC3, SF4AE2012, and KOFXIII will be played as well! I am a professional fledgling internet recipe chef, so if you have any sort of snacks or baked goods you want me to prepare for the BB ranbats, just say so (in this thread, by PM'ing me, or otherwise) and I'll see what I can do. If you don't believe me, ask Scottie, Pozer, and Yuushiro. They've all tasted my brownies and cupcakes and came to a consensus that they were delicious.
