Agito Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Hello all, I have been playing Blazblue ever since calamity trigger and have always mained hakumen. I'm not bad at the game by any means im actually pretty decent but recently i've been wondering about my playing style. I've been wondering if I should still main hakumen, should i play a different way, etc. I want to have my style evaluated by an advanced level player if possible. My PSN is shadow9794.

Yes, your playstyle is a very important consideration when picking characters and growing into how you'll play the game. If you don't like the characters or can't get comfortable anyway you play, then you'll just get bored and drop the game. To find a character you like, your best bet may be to shop around and try them all. You can make a list of tendencies you have (prefer playing defensive/offensive, simple/complex characters, like to move around a lot/staying put and guarding your space, etc.) and this could point you in the right direction, though you may be surprised and find your niche with a different character than you thought. So best to try them all. ----- That said, I strongly urge you NOT to take the advice of an "advanced" player, and simply find your own style. How can someone else know you better than yourself? It's not possible. This kind of basic work should be fun, experiential, and exploratory. If it isn't, why are you playing fighters?

If it isn't, why are you playing fighters? thx for the advice. i did that and found that platinum is a pretty good character with alot of variety, im also looking into makoto as well
