Mystic Eyes Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 It's common knowledge that it's cheaper to cook your own food than to eat at a restaurant or whatever. You pay more for labor and whatever price increase the company gives to the actual food. The whole point of restaurants is to eat somewhere else because you don't feel like making your own meal every time lol
The Katz Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 \o/ So confirmed for moving away in about a year. On the topic of "because you don't feel like making your own meal every time", I don't plan on this being an every-casuals thing. I just want to try it once or twice (obviously not one session after another) and see how it goes.
Rainbow Mash Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 (edited) So I got my day off confirmed for the tournament on Saturday (the 20th), what's the ride situation looking like? Would really like to make it to this. Edited April 14, 2013 by Rainbow Mash
The Katz Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Tales, Vyers, would either of you be up for doing stuff this week? I'd like to pub it up before I get my face full of drills and I can't eat anything for awhile after.
Vyers Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 \o/ So confirmed for moving away in about a year. Where are you moving to? So I got my day off confirmed for the tournament on Saturday (the 20th), what's the ride situation looking like? Would really like to make it to this. It looks like I'll be driving myself this time, because I'll be gorging myself on sushi with Glitch/Seth/possibly Mindgam3 the day afterward. I can probably both pick you up and drop you off Ashley. Cheese might be coming in his car as well. In regards to Tales/Katz: If you're planning on coming I can bring you down with me, but I won't be able to bring you back. In the event that Cheese can come, perhaps I could drive you to CT and he could drive you back to MA? Tales, Vyers, would either of you be up for doing stuff this week? I'd like to pub it up before I get my face full of drills and I can't eat anything for awhile after. I'm booked solid through Thursday morning. If I can get through the days worth of papers due between now and then I'd be up for meeting up on Thursday, maybe Friday. When is your dentist appointment Katz?

I'm leaning towards the latter. Depending on how long I can stay here, it might just be Worcester. Sounds like a plan, I guess? I need more GG time, so that would be good. Probably Tuesday of next week. Edited April 14, 2013 by The Katz
Rainbow Mash Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Vyers you still have my number right? Feel free to call or text to iron out the details.
Rainbow Mash Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Is everyone in MA safe? Was anyone in Boston earlier today?
Vyers Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Vyers you still have my number right? Feel free to call or text to iron out the details. I still got it.
The Katz Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Probably Tuesday of next week. I lied, it's on the 22nd of May now.
Vyers Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Alright, so I managed to get through my papers, but I'm too tired to push buttons today. Might be up for that tomorrow. Mash I'll try pm or call you about Saturday travel plans tomorrowish.
Vyers Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Tales/Katz/: Are you up for casuals tonight? @ Mash: So it looks like The Good, the Bad, and the New Challengers venue opens at 11:00am with registration open 1:00-1:45. Your place is about an hour away and I usually like to arrive early so how about I pick you up around 10? Any thoughts on how late you would like to stay? @ Tales/Katz/ Cheese: I know Katz wants to go. Tales do you have work off? Cheese are you coming/up for driving them home if I drive them to the venue. (blueNINE is going he might be an alternative means of a ride back if Cheese can't make it). @ Glitch: I just found out that my monthly D&D group wants to meet up on sushi buffet day. I still want to hang out and eat sushi and stuff, but I want to try to do both. D&D usually starts at 6 and it takes about 2 1/2 hours to get there from your place. I think you said that you usually do sushi as a dinner thing, but would it be alright/doable to hit it up around 2 or 3pm? Sorry to throw a monkey wrench into our plans.
Vyers Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Okay Mash I'm heading back to my room (where I don't have access to internet) now. If anyone needs to get in touch with me between tonight and tomorrow regarding weekend plans give me a call. If I miss your call please leave a message so I'm not left in the dark.
Nuclear Cheese Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 @ Tales/Katz/ Cheese: I know Katz wants to go. Tales do you have work off? Cheese are you coming/up for driving them home if I drive them to the venue. (blueNINE is going he might be an alternative means of a ride back if Cheese can't make it). I plan on going tomorrow, and I can give them a ride back. If possible I'd prefer they ride down with you though since I'll already be getting up and heading out much earlier than usual (mornings can go to hell ). If 9ball can drive them back that'd probably be a better arrangement, but I don't have a problem with bringing them back myself if need be. ... and I'll actually call you to make sure you get the message.
agp24 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Nah, my tomorrow is super packed. Whee, 12 hour shift time.
agp24 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Hey, is anybody going to that Injustice thing on Sunday that could give me a ride? Blue IX hasn't decided if he's going yet, and I'd like to go.
Crevox Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 You guys still playing in Wolcott? I'm moving to Middletown and might be interested in playing some games.
The Katz Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Good Games®™ to everyone I played yesterday. Shoutouts to Mindgam3, Ash, and Vyers.
Fraga Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 (edited) You guys still playing in Wolcott? I'm moving to Middletown and might be interested in playing some games. Yeah we are, but they're currently on hiatus due to finals coming up. Also shoutouts to CT crew and being awesome this entire weekend (and bringing up/planning hilarious conversations). Thanks Mindgam3 for letting me and others stay at your house, you deserved that round of drinks from me It was awesome to see MA/NH crew come down again, good seeing you Katz, Cheese, Vyers, Juan among others. Juan last night was great and it was awesome talking to you. Also Matt, I will continue to teach you the Dark Arts of Relius if you are interested :mrbiscuits: Overall Good games everyone, even though I got bodied HARD in DOA5 and Injustice, it's time to hit the lab. EDIT: I'm switching to Supes (regime) from Joker, Joker is now my alt (THE INFINITE WILL BE LEARNED DAMNIT) Edited April 21, 2013 by Fraga
Nuclear Cheese Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 So, that was fun. I'll have to keep up with other events at this venue, especially if they decide to start running GG as an actual event. When will the results be posted? I didn't see anything in the events subforum yet, and I'm kinda curious on where exactly I landed in P4A. Shoutouts to NH (read: me) somehow showing up at the venue before CT (read: Mindgame, etc). Shoutouts to doing better than I expected in P4A (that is, winning any matches at all ). Shoutouts to Juan for giving me a Juan-derfully terrible investment opportunity. Shoutouts to impromptu $1 GG tournament and everyone who played in it. Shoutouts to Mindgame and company ditching us cool people (and Katz) and heading to TGI Friday's instead of the diner. Shoutouts to my chill moth buddy at said diner.
JacopeX Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 GGs to everyone I got to play yesterday (I'm still bad with remembering names). Nice seeing you all and I look forward to playing more GG/P4UMA again. Gotta get better. @NuclearCheese - Thanks for not going easy on me like other people would have after the 30th-40th time you bodied me. Appreciate it. @Fraga - I am still curious to see that Joker infinite. hahaha @RainbowMash - I sent you a request @Paul - Congrats winning Persona with Self proclaimed low tier Yukiko against 5b Teddie. lol Anything going on next month?
The Katz Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 @NuclearCheese - Thanks for not going easy on me like other people would have after the 30th-40th time you bodied me. Appreciate it. Hey, I never go easy on anyone
Vyers Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I had a great time this weekend on Saturday chilling at the good the bad and the new challengers, and eating like 50 pieces of sushi the day after. In regards to Saturday I'd like to thank Katz for being me the stereo to RCA converter parts, Ashley for getting the GG tourney started, Fraga for running GG brackets, and Master Cheese for sharing shuttling responsibilities; It was good to see everyone who made it out there, although my multiple forays in search of tech meant I wasn't around to hang out for much of the event. JacopeX, sorry I didn't introduce myself, it was fun playing you and I hope to see you again; a word of advice: I noticed you always went for the cross up dimension door, a little mix up will go a long way. Duchess 100+ soda choices was great fun; Katz getting carded at Target for a lighter and then getting his military ID rejected was bull; I chalk my free, though super late, manicotti at the Blue Colony up as a win. In regards to Sunday: Thanks a bunch Glitch for letting me crash at your place overnight; I enjoyed hanging out with you and Seth, checking out your past and ongoing cosplay woodworks, and watching that old school Dexter's Lab; Thanks especially for explaining the ins and outs of Honeywell. Why, Mindgam3, I'm glad you were able to join us at the sushi buffet. I hope you enjoyed not being the drivers for once, and that I exposed you to Jake Kaufman's music; Have you heard of shovel knight? http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/yachtclubgames/shovel-knight He and the lady that composed Elecman's theme are doing the music for that. I enjoyed the mid-sushi discussion of the horrifying homestuck takeover. Fraga I heard you don't eat vegetables. . . you should eat vegetables. Seth, your art exhibit is fantastic. Glitch, you are the best at directions. Tales I am very very sad that you were unable to attend the tourneysuals. As you may have realized from the fact that I'm posting this, my DM did not slay me for lack of punctuality.
