sakabato24 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Only concern, the movement for guard. I think for most people who are new to this game, guard will be the same like any other FG, holding back and away from the opponent, but in this game, IIRC, you have to hit down and up quickly to guard.

It's easily baited, puts you at minus frames, drains boost, and stops you in your tracks. Unlike normal fighting games, it's something you only do as a last resort. As a beginner its better to sidestep or boost almost all the time. learning to use guard generally comes alongside getting used to the game.

People will have Friday and early Saturday to warm up, get acquainted, but in the interest of time, I'd like to start it early Saturday so we can finish the tournament before EVO closes the room at night.
