Pretty new to these types of games so still trying to figure out certain aspects of the game.

I do have a question about the chie matchup.. It seems like her pressure is nonstop, like I really don't know what to do.

Any advice on how to approach this matchup? Thanks

At a distance, your j.B is pretty slammin'. You can d.j cancel the j.B on hit or block, so as long as you swing preemptively, you can keep your assault up so you can position Asterius to do something productive.

2B has some startup on it, but it's a very good move from ground-to-air, considering it has upper-body invincibility and it leads to easy, good damage with time for you to get Asterius to set up your mixups.

2C covers the space above Asterius (and usually you) pretty well. You can use it to section off areas to prevent Chie from launching attacks from those directions. Most of the time, at least before she hits awakening, she's gonna want to bring the party to you. Between j.B, 2C and 2B, you should have a few avenues of defense covered.

And, of course, when all else fails, her furious actions isn't the best, but Chie still has to watch it if she tries to cannonball in on you with j.A.

Do Chie's meteors break EX Asterius attacks? I know it's a super and those break the EX autoguard but the individual damage for the meteors is kind of low so I was just wondering if the autoguard applied.

There really isn't a way to get out of her locking you down during her oki game. You'll need to be able to block her mixups and find openings to escape or press buttons to get out (which I don't really recommend, with the speed of SLab's normals). Obviously, there's the option of using DP or counter assault/dead angle, but they're both risky and use up resources of yours. Focus on the Chie's pressure and mixup so you can find an opportunity to get out (punishing unsafe moves, using instant block to create larger gaps in their pressure, etc).

Basically, you're gonna need to learn how to be on the defensive. Since SLab lacks moves with decent startup speed and a furious action that's a bit easier to bait than others, you're going to need to pay attention to your opponent and how they pressure you.
