MashThat5A Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Or you can be manly and do Steel Rain > Astral
Dreiko Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 So how do you fly upwards using the j.22A move? Also any tips on how to do the iad j.b > j.C > land and jump again j.4B > j4B combos? i seem to be way too high even when doing the lowest possible air dash. You need to super jump and do it instantly to fly upwards, it's not controllable, it's purely momentum-based. As for that combo, you need to do the dash as soon as possible, then delay jB and JC each as long as possible, then land and microdash and instantly jump again and j4B.
drzero7 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 WTF did they do to bang's TK j236D?! when I do it, I do a super jump with it?! I'm suppose to land immediately for a free rushdown and close in >_>; And is there an easy way to combo daifunka? in Extend, I just did 5B,2B,6C,j623B, land, Daifunka near corner. That doesn't work anymore.

And you can still 5C daifunka like you could in all past games lol.
Dreiko Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmDYCvAnzt0 Bang combos with fucking Digimon OST. I'm in heaven.

NoSales Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 So, in terms of j.4C j.C loops in OD/FRKZ, what are the different methods of doing it, with and/or w/o certain seals?
Dreiko Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I did not see the topic highlight so I did not click on it. Sorry lol.So, in terms of j.4C j.C loops in OD/FRKZ, what are the different methods of doing it, with and/or w/o certain seals? Ok so, it depends on how much OD you have but on max OD and with the fu rin seals you can do 5B>2B>3C>RC>OD>2B>9JC>6JC>6JC>2>8JC>6JC>9JC>9JC>J623B>5C>6D>daifunka.
NoSales Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Okay, thank you! I generally don't use OD, unless I'm trying to get four seals fast for obvious reasons or if I'm at auto heat gain/<35% health.

You never should just "not use" something. Everything has its uses. If you wanna seal someone's burst for the kill in the final round of a match, OD is wonderful. I do burst more than I do OD, sure, but OD is still amazing and good and hype as hell.

I generally don't use OD, unless I'm trying to get four seals fast for obvious reasons or if I'm at auto heat gain/<35% health. Overdrive has many uses. What I use it for is to either just throw it out there, get a big combo going, or my personal favorite, Super command grab resets

My favorite one was doing it to beat an aerial 236D from Jin. He had a good chunk of health too so it barely killed lol.
HoudiniJr100 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I am curious. since I found an extend video from last year essentially showing "crazy combos from countering a magnetism-based attack from tager" so I must ask...has anyone tried that in CP yet?

Show us the Tager madness. I wanna see it :3
NoSales Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) Think he's talking about these by yamdere/yandere(?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FZBpFHNVRo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqta8EHzCy8 Anyway, yeah. I need to practice going into OD off different hits and confirm them into a decent combo/round finisher. Edited November 6, 2013 by NoSales
Dreiko Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 5C and 3C/command grab RC seem to be the best confirms.
ReynTime180 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Speaking of which, has anyone come up with anything non overdrive for RC command grab combos?
GreekAscendedDust Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Speaking of which, has anyone come up with anything non overdrive for RC command grab combos? i don't really see the point in those, seeing as we do not benefit from them as much as when we OD them. Thats what I got from training with Bang. Also, what are your guy's pressure strings? What do you do in neutral? How do you utilize FLYING SQUIRREL TECHNIQUE!! *J22A* and how do you go about seals. The more we talk about this, the more we can build off of and improve off of. I'm just really curious lately :3

I'm just really curious lately :3 There's a bunch of uses, mostly it's if you don't have OD to begin with, or you have too much health for a combo, or, it's if you just don't want to use OD in the first place. On the questions that you asked, my pressure is non existent, nails/3C, and combos. A good way to get seals, I found, was 5D ch then 2D j.D c nail and 6D. But all of those of course are really bad and I need to devote a day to work on them
InvalidLitDepot Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Speaking of which, has anyone come up with anything non overdrive for RC command grab combos? I have been wondering this as well. Is it even worth it anymore?
ReynTime180 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I've tried some CSEX combo paths from it and it didn't do such good damage
SixWingedAngel Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Also, what are your guy's pressure strings? What do you do in neutral? I'm still looking into pressure but I try doing 5a > (2a) > 5B for starters. This is where you start commiting to siet or how they say it: after 5B I can do 6a > 6B > RC > or 6A > 2C > 236B. After 6B I can also jump cancel for cross-up or overhead, or you can go 5B > 5C > jump cancel or low hit 6A. Or I omit all these stuff and go 5A > 2A > 6A > reset with 5A or command grab. I find doing blockstrings and hitconfirms much tougher now that our jump canceling option on 2B is gone but i hope I can make it work with more trainning- If anybody else could share their blockstring thoughts it would be very helpful In neutral I jump/dash around like an idiot and throw shurikens (mainly poison ones) for an opportunity to jump in. That (j.5B) > (j.5C) > lion poke/2C knockdown. j.command throws are also good damage here and there when I can get a read.
ReynTime180 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I don't know if anyone else knew this cause just found this out today, if you do j.236AD-BD or CD you get three of the nails that you inputted. I found this out just now and mind fucks were had.
Seiki Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 anyone know how to make bang float really high with 22A? I saw a video of him doing it in one match where the player did the move long enough it started to lift him up.
