SuperFX Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 (edited) Gonna try and make this again this year. Hope I can make it and see my midwest peoples again Edited January 12, 2013 by SuperFX
Chris Chaos Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Blazblue....... Uhh... If your favorite game isn’t on the list, fear not! Community run side tournaments during finals Sunday are encouraged, and if you contact me, we’ll find you a time slot and space to gather and play through your bracket. Reading is Fundamental In all seriousness, I am hype for this event especially since it's in my backyard! I will be there for Persona but if allowed and enough interest is shown; I'd run a BlazBlue tournament since I know a lot of Midwest players outside of Chicago are still playing it. I'd like to do as much as I can for the Anime Players here at UFGT9 and make sure that the games you guys are interested in (Providing there's enough people interested in playing them), are there. If Keits is cool with it, I'll try to get BB/GG or any other anime game for you guys, AS LONG AS THERE'S INTEREST SHOWN FOR THE GAME. Also, I can't sticky this thread, could someone who has the authority to do this make that happen?
Alpha152 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I'm going to try to make this since I couldn't attend NEC
Chris Chaos Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 @Alpha152: Yeah, come on down and show up! I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. @DC: If you can we gotta hang out again! I got you on a few drinks if you show up.
ZomB Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I'll save up a little money and come out for this~
Chris Chaos Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 All right guys, with the most recent update to the UFGT9 Roster, there will be a Side Tournament for both BlazBlue: EX and Guilty Gear: AC+. So to all you BB and GG heads, COME ON OUT and SHOW UP!
DaiAndOh Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I understand things are to be scheduled, but do you have any idea for what's on Friday?
miller483 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I'll only attend if the GUTS theme song is playing 24/7 throughout the venue.
Chris Chaos Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) I understand things are to be scheduled, but do you have any idea for what's on Friday? It's still pretty early, so I'm sure there's no word for it yet, even the consoles for each game haven't been announced yet. I'll be sure to keep my eyes open and my ears cleaned for any further information. I'll only attend if the GUTS theme song is playing 24/7 throughout the venue. LOL! I suggest you show up to defend your title as "Best Midwest Yosuke." Someone else is showing up and plans to prove it at UFGT9. Edited January 15, 2013 by Shinsyn
blueNINE Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I'm planning to be there, and would definitely like to see another Guilty Gear side tournament. I had a really good time playing in the one that was held last year.
Keits Posted January 28, 2013 Author Posted January 28, 2013 I understand things are to be scheduled, but do you have any idea for what's on Friday? Everything starts on Friday. All of the game run concurrently, as they have the past two years. If a game doesn't have any pools on Friday, which is rare, its because the turnout is extremely low.
Chris Chaos Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 (edited) All right guys, UFGT9 is open for registration! Pay it off while the Early Bird deal is still available! - Click Here to Begin Registration! Edited February 18, 2013 by Shinsyn
Casshern Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Trying to get people together for a room from Thursday to Monday! I'll be taking a train from Philly to Chicago so hopefully I can find some people to room with! (My absence from dustloop has been horrid, UGHHHHHH!) Otherwise I believe I am 100% confirmed for UFGT!

Chris Chaos Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 *BUMP* In case you didn't know, Skullgirls has been added to the roster for UFGT this year. Due to the amazing contributions from the community's attempt to become the 8th game at EVO2013, they are being recognized at UFGT as a main game. So Skullgirls fans; your game is in! Register as soon as possible, and that goes for everyone else that plays another game listed on the main roster. Also, BaraBariBall pre-release has been added to the roster as well, and it's a free tournament! Be aware there is a 128 man cap on the game so if you're interested in giving the game a shot, register ASAP! BaraBariBall is a unique sport/fighting game. Most fighting games are about controlling space and controlling your opponent, and this one is no exception. In BBB, however, you’ll also need to control the ball. Flights to Chicago are pretty cheap with the coming of UFGT9, the prices are reasonable ATM so the sooner you get your flight taken care of, the better things are for you in the end. Amadeus46Art Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Also I forgot to mention: since I'll be driving up, that means I'll be bringing the ingredients for Force Break Puffballs. Those of you who were at Final Round should like this, those of you who weren't...you can thank me later.
