InWithTheAshes Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 (edited) Digital: I liked your first post better, it was actually useful. This wall of text tells me nothing that I did not already know. It's just dancing around my question. It's not "dancing around it". It's a specific answer towards your question, and one that fully explains the fact that the only way to know who you want to play is to play them. Hell, if you're really going to be so obstinate, then I'd say it would be fine to skip the "play them" portion and just go watch match videos and get information about their advantages/disadvantages. Koogy and Turbovecsrk made a fine breakdown with said examples here. Go look at that if you want. Oh, and yes, good shit Watches. If that gets filled up and otherwise edited somewhat to suit the general viewership rather than the O.P., I'd believe it could become a front page post. Edit: Also: I've tried Eddie, but it's tough to get down the negative edge with him. I'm used to it with Carl, but Eddie is just insanely hard. ABA so far has been my favorite out of the three (the other two mentioned being Dizzy and Venom). Lol at Adel being bluntly honest about your attitude and you pretty much admitting he's correct within doing so. Edited May 6, 2013 by InWithTheAshes
Chrome Homura Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Good Article No really, this should be on the content page in some form. In fact, I think any FG player can benefit from reading this, even non-airdasher mains.
Celerity Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 No really, this should be on the content page in some form. In fact, I think any FG player can benefit from reading this, even non-airdasher mains. Yeah I like how Watches carefully wrote out one of the best posts I've ever seen on DL, and the guy just shit all over it. There are so many threads popping up about people trying to find mains, I think that post could be placed somewhere more prominent to help them out. That writeup from Koogy is also really good, I've never seen that before.
skd Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 amazingly enough, i am emotionally obligated to make this post that doesnt really contribute to the thread. im actually offended for digital watches. i suggest you re-read and try to be flexible about your interpretation of what you "want". if anything, dont you think aba doesnt really fit in with your initial description of who you would like to play? with the mention of starting pressure from far away and giving examples of Yukiko and Relius...i dont see it. the fact that you happened to like her is awesome, but isnt that a testament to how you were...i dont know...initially wrong? He gave wise, blanket advice that you could use and even threw in specific examples while trying to clearly define aspects you are looking for so that we could better understand your request (which by the way, was not worded properly as to what you are REALLY looking for). What else do you want. Nobody is required to do your thinking for you. Stop acting so privileged. Jesus christ, my faith in humanity.
Amadeus46Art Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 You said you like ABA the most? THERE'S YOUR FUCKING ANSWER. PLAY ABA. Sheesh why is this so hard for you?
Skye Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Just stopped by to concur with making DW's post an article. It can really help shape the way some newer cats see fighting games. That is all. got away safely!
OutlawVinegar Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'd also like to support Digital Watches' post being made a front page thing, and/or maybe a SRK front page thing.
Circuitous Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 He's gonna clean it up a bit and we'll have it as an article soon. In the meantime I think this thread's gone as far as it needs to go. EmptySkyForm, good luck selecting your character. Hope ABA goes well for you. If not, try some more characters out until you find one you like.
