Suzaku Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 correct me if I'm wrong, but Aksys got the rights for Guilty Gears, correct? Or Sega still owns the franchise? I did not like to see the Sega Logo, I prefer GG in the hands of Aksys. = / The Sega logo is there because it's being released on Sega's RingEdge 2 Multi (ALL Net P-ras MULTI) arcade hardware.

I did not like to see the Sega Logo, I prefer GG in the hands of Aksys. = / ARCSYS / ASW / Arc System Works And yes asw got the rights back. The sega's logo is there more than probable because the game will run on sega's ring edge 2
Rhannmah Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I never gave up HOPE on a new sequel. And now I have a purpose for living once again... Yeah, especially after the franchise was set FREE of Sega/Sammy's control. I HOPE this will relieve the FGC's ENNUI with the Guilty Gear series.
Suzaku Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Bullet Heaven, ???, Jan 15 2187. Oh, and the other bit is "Pat P" -- Patent Pending. Bullet Heaven Pat P Jan 15 2187
firecotton Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Is it just me or does this game seem a little bit slower than the previous GG's? I'm not a big fan of the cell shading style either, but it's fine I guess, I mean they have all the time in the world to improve the models.
Hecatom Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 (edited) Oh, and the other bit is "Pat P" -- Patent Pending. Bullet Heaven Pat P Jan 15 2187 So that means that this is a new sword? Edited May 19, 2013 by Hecatom

Gotta remember dude, this is - at most - an early Alpha build of the game. The speed now and the speed of the released game will almost unquestionably be different.
BioLogIn Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 There is also a logo (a circle with some crosses) and some letters (can't figure anything out of them though) on Sol's glove at 1:27. There weren't anything but buckles on his gloves before.
9TNine Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Something is written on Ky's sword as well. Pretty sure I saw "Magnolia" and "Patented" -9
Amadeus46Art Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Early reports indicating Eddie is again top-tier. Hahahaha you bastard.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 At 1:32 of trailer there is a writing on Sol's new sword: Bullet Heaven, ???, Jan 15 2187. GG2 Overture takes place in 2186. Which implies that GGXrd takes place after Overture timeline. I wonder how Ky got his Furaiken back. Well, there you have it. I didn't even think to check what date was on his blade. So that pretty much confirms beyond doubt that this is post-Overture. If Ky's got the Thunderseal back, that almost certainly means Dizzy has been released from the time seal. That makes a lot of sense. I was wondering if they annulled the Overture events. SO i guess we can expect Sin, Izuna, Valentine, and Dr. Paradigm to make an appearance in this game as well. I wonder if Ky is still a King? I'm glad he got Fuuraiken back, it always looked cooler than Aquila. Yeah, especially after the franchise was set FREE of Sega/Sammy's control. I HOPE this will relieve the FGC's ENNUI with the Guilty Gear series. FINALLY, someone caught on to what I said So that means that this is a new sword? I doubt it, Sol's a scientist, he can change/remodel Fuuenken whenever he wants. And this sword looks way too similar to Fuuenken anyways. Something is written on Ky's sword as well. Pretty sure I saw "Magnolia" and "Patented" -9 I noticed that too. Do you guys think they will bring back ex moves? Why did they bring back the old GV? Have they removed the Lightning Javelin follow up after Vapor thrust? Will they keep Justice and Kliff plaayble, or give their playstyles to newer characters? I''m also hoping they add more Ex-Holy Order characters into the roster, cus that uniform is boss.
Cree Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 At 1:32 of trailer there is a writing on Sol's new sword: Bullet Heaven, ???, Jan 15 2187. GG2 Overture takes place in 2186. Which implies that GGXrd takes place after Overture timeline. I wonder how Ky got his Furaiken back. For reference. Nice catch
Zazz Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Which implies that GGXrd takes place after Overture timeline. If Ky's got the Thunderseal back, that almost certainly means Dizzy has been released from the time seal. I expect Wife Dizzy soon. Also I want playable Dr. Paradigm because STRATEGY.
Rhannmah Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I expect Wife Dizzy soon. Also I want playable Dr. Paradigm because STRATEGY. Or maybe Overture got retconned out of existence? One can only hope.
Hecatom Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 (edited) What if this game ends as a ps4 game? Considering this And this http://www.screwattack.com/news/arc-system-works-working-new-fighting-franchise-concept-ps4 Edited May 19, 2013 by Hecatom
BladeOfJustice7 Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Or maybe Overture got retconned out of existence? One can only hope. What if this game ends as a ps4 game? That's not funny....
9TNine Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 What if this game ends as a ps4 game? ... Then I'm buying a PS4? -9
Suzaku Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 There is also a logo (a circle with some crosses) and some letters (can't figure anything out of them though) on Sol's glove at 1:27. There weren't anything but buckles on his gloves before. I think the one on Sol's glove is just nonsense chicken scratch. Ky's got "Tirana Fa??" written on one of his golden buckles, which is clearly visible in closeup. Tirana is the capital of Albania, present-day Illyria. So Tirana is most likely the capital of the Allied Kingdom of Illyria in Guilty Gear.
Hecatom Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 That's not funny.... Well, the same was said with bbct
zerosoulreaver Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I am really hype for this game. When I saw Millia at the end I was so happy. The sprites look really interesting, it's pretty much 2.5D. I'm not sure how I feel about the dust segment, it's either just made that way for the trailer or it's a small cutscene on hit? I just find that a bit awkward but it's too soon to tell. Overall, game looks great and I like how the characters look. They looks a little different yet still the same as what we are all used to. So many questions that need answering though which will make this game either godlike or just so-so. I will drop every game just to play Guilty again.
Elochai Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 So many questions that need answering though which will make this game either godlike or just so-so. I will drop every game just to play Guilty again. I think this tends to happen when a game has massive amounts of hype. It's either going to end up being amazing, or disappointing.
Rhannmah Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I really can't see ArcSys botching this, after all this time. And by just looking at the trailer, it seems they are pulling all the stops to make it as faithful to the original material as possible. I can't be anything but pleased.
