yeah... not hitting crouchers is a pretty big nerf and makes no sense to me.

Was this tested on like... crouching Faust? Does it also whiff crouching Pot? It's total BS, but Bandit Bringer also whiffs on crouching Faust in AC/+R so at least there would be some sort of precedent for that sort of thing.

some more sad news:

no crossup hitbox on gs

no c.s>6k loop

ch 5hs no longer staggers, just normal extended hitstun

ch 6p no longer launches and knockback, normal extended hitstun

c.s and 5hs>gs doesn't combo

air hit gs launches really high up and you need to high jump to followup

air rtl wallsticks for a short time

dc cse now only 6 hits

however, ch svt>c.s>2hs>j.s>dj.s>j.hs>hsvt does abut 50% on zato lol

This all sonnds retarded, especially the 50% part on Zato-1. Ky's mixup pressure game isn't even that strong compared to the entirety of the cast. That nerf to js is dumb.

Ky BS; Urgh, whyyyyy? j. S change is one of the stupidest things I've seen done to Ky. Guess it's back to prodding people to death 1 f. S at a time again.

Odd to be seeing Ky nerfs when I don't think he was ever particularly amazing. That said, with that CH S-VS combo on Zato doing quite that much damage, maybe they just cranked up his bare damage at the cost of some of his options? Lord knows everyone else does super high damage in this game as is. Still a loketest though, so who knows what their gameplan is.

So Ky doing good damage is "retarded" but his nerfs are "dumb"

What the fuck do you even want dude.

f.S -> 3H -> GS is a nice meterless abare buff and DC w/ Split Ciel YRC etc improve his neutral game. You could wait a bit longer than two days into a non-final version before acting like he's F tier.

Information about modes new to this loketest.

Sparring Mode

-Maximum time is 7 minutes. (Time still counts down during super freezes, K.O. animations, VS screens and entering the menu.)

-Start button opens up a menu with several options.

--Choosing your opponent.

--Altering the CPU level.

--Altering how the game prompts you if someone challenges you.

-Life and Tension cannot be adjusted. You have to defeat the opponent to reset.

M.O.M Mode

-In this mode, the Start button allows you to use skills and items.

-You can set items to 5, 2, 6 or 4 + Start and then do the corresponding action to use the item.

-You acquire skills and items by defeating opponents.

Well what we don't know about this Ky yet is his Stun Edge game, and with the seals...well, he might be closer to his Slash self when it comes to zoning and corner pressure eh?

Edit: (i.e like Banoffee said, his neutral game may be really strong, and coupled with good damage maybe more than make up for what he's lost).

Maybe Ky's new zoning and control are so good that he doesn't need to be using j.S overhead+crossup on oki? I still disagree with j.S whiffing crouchers since that seems really unintuitive, but maybe it didn't need to have that hitbox behind him. Greed Sever losing that crossup hitbox seems a little odd since it wasn't a great mixup to begin with... did they make it faster or safer or have more range? Sometimes moves that happen to be overheads and lows don't really get used for their mixup... And of course he might have some new crossup tech with YRC projectiles that we don't know about.

If anyone can confirm if I-No actually has the ability to dash cancel normals besides 6H, I think lots of people would appreciate the info. Especially if she can dash cancel 2D like we initially heard, and still use j.H to immediately land out of dash start-up. Better learn to block now if that's the case.

I'd also like to request info on what the actual attack animation is for people's IKs. Not the cinematic, but what they actually use to hit you, like how Sol pretty much does Fafnir, or if May's is still a grab, etc. And do some of them still have invincible start up like Magnum Opera?

Wasn't there a 23 v 23 in Slash where Isa took out 16 people with Ky?

And Reload Ky was mid-tier, right below Sol. He wasn't great by any means, but he wasn't that bad either.

i dont think his projectile game will be that much different just because you have to set new grinder with 5d, j.d, or split ciel to get the powered up version and obviously the only viable one at neutral without spending 25 meter to yrc is j.d and it is unconfirmed whether ground stun edges will go through the air grinders

from what i see now, he's a combination of reload and slash but i think it's pretty unlikely for them to have ground stun edge be advantageous on block again

and some more stuff:

sweep>slide works on everyone but bedman, pot, and chipp

float on ground hit gs is very low, just barely enough to combo into c.s

old school vt loops are back

ground hsvt knockdown into cse oki works

2s>sweep>stun edge>rc>2hs>hsvt>c.s>2hs>hsvt>c.s>hsvt 60% on chipp

throw>rc>c.s>2hs>hsvt>2hs>hsvt>c.s>hsvt 50% on chipp

everyone complaining about their char is soundin like crybabies right now. Game's not even out yet. If you're worried about sucking then just play high tier. I didn't bitch because my char was bottom tier in AC, and if my char was in xrd and was Dan tier or something shitty Id still play and whoop on most people anyways.

Yeah, Slash Ky was mean as all get-out with his Stun Edge shenanigans, but I was more referring to Xrd Ky, haha.

Return of VT loops is good news, though.
