I don't blame you, after extended time with this, the FGC "should" tell Bamco [or Harada if he was behind this, because he doesn't exactly sound against it] to shove it.

Since I've already cast my vote I'm going to stop playing after I 100% the trophies [which means at least logging in for 10 days straight lol] and until they make this actually worth everyone's time, I'll leave it at that.

Haven't really played Tekken since Tekken 3, don't really like the Tekken games, having a fun time basically being a beginner with this.

I can't get my damn character though, which is Alisa, the game gave me Byran and then Leo, tried on another account and got Steve and Byran again, fucking frustrating, just give me robo girl already! I want to master her.

I've been sticking with Lili in the mean time, starting to be okay with her, ran into like 30+ Kazuya and Lars, and two other Lili at most.

If any of you guys want to play some player matches, I got multiple accounts for lots of coins to play.

The more I play this game, the less I like it lol

Tired of stats and Special Arts lol Low level Tekken play is boring [and even more scrubby] and High level is more of a pain in the ass to deal with; and I can't if my growing disdain is caused to not being able to play freely or not having characters I really enjoy and could easily transition between with in Tag 2.

Once I 100% this game I probably won't touch it again [even after updates] unless they make some serious balance adjustments [characters that were good in Tag 2 are still beast while those that were ass are still ass, and new mechanics don't help that rift lol]

Thanks Harada for the mild distraction but call me when the next standalone title is out.

This was all done on purpose.... This game is mostly aimed at newer players who are picking up Tekken for the first time. Namco basically has it set up so there is a tournament / offline version of the game (TTT2) and have a silly fun netplay version of the game that everyone can play (TR). This is why they added RPG mechanics and made the game online-only. For the time being, Namco isn't trying to make this into a tournament game. And when they finally do (when they add the offline patch), we won't be playing with RPG stats in tournaments obviously.

Overall though, this game is pretty good at it's core. Take away the RPG elements and there's nothing wrong with it. This game might be easier..... but it's a lot more balanced (and consistent) than TTT2.

EDIT: Also seems like on Tues Dragunov and Hwoarang are being added to the random roster v.v

EDIT 2: Also seems like their adding training mode ("Warm Up Space") and Arcade will see multiple levels of difficulty, there will also be items purchasable through the PS Store like costumes, "premium" effects, and an item which can reset your stat points. Increased level and dan-rank cap and it appears you can have Player rooms without the use of stat points, just vanilla characters.

Man, I knew Tekken was jokes for awhile now, but this, this just hurts...

First let me address the preexisting characters; Togo. Just...why? He'd be a Lars clone, and if we're not making another Tag game, just leave him out, he didn't do anything in the story, he WON'T add anything to gameplay, Tekken seriously needs to REDUCE and REFINE it's roster rather than add in more copy pastas with some spice. I actually like Revolution's smaller roster size, however I don't like the particular limit or those who got in, OR the fact you can't even have the whole roster anyways... Next, Shin, ok F THIS! He's just as pointless as Togo, he did jack shit in BV and he was already proven to be an inept loser. There's 2 possibilities with him; he's ANOTHER Mishima clone (because we SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO need another one of those! :D) or he's has an original style, but he'd probably be a fucking joke (Harada has already been expressly against Shin for awhile now so including him in this poll is only to sate fans, if he won, I don't think he'd be handled well, not that you can handle shit any other way anyways ). Also while not actually existing (because there were no women in the Tekken Force, if there were, Jin did the right thing and gave them unisex uniforms, as it fucking should be with a military unit) but the problem with the female Force character is the same as Togo, at worst they could give her a new moveset, but again, just don't see it adding much actual dimension to Tekken as a whole, just further muddling the roster.

Next let's address the animals, sure Tekken is no stranger to including them to its roster, but (with the exception of guest Gon) they were all at least practical; Roger (come on, Kanga boxing is about as old as it gets), Alex (he's a fucking raptor!), Panda and Kuma (bear wrestling, again an old tale) but adding either a Salmon or Mantis is just....ugh....the first would be a joke immediately on the level of Gon is added traditionally, and just plain stupid any other way. The Mantis COULD get away if they made a mini Nancy, which is the only way I see this (realistically) happening... Sure they could add something to the game but I feel Harada just wants them to be "whacky for the sake of being whacky" one of Japan's hugest weakness in modern fiction.

Ok, before my final rant, let me address the old man, fucking really? What the fuck in Wang then? And isn't having the now slightly flamboyant Sebastian enough? If anyone is going to be old, just "resurrect" OG Heihachi and give him back his diapers :P I fill this "run-of-the-mill" old man would be "anime" average, meaning he would play to all the tired tropes....middle aged (possibly balding) salary man with thick glasses who's meek, frail, but for no reason a humongous pervert. Yeah, no thanks...

Finally...I want to address all the female suggestions at once...I know sexism is a non-issue in Japan but their focus on the "sexy" and "cute" borders on the psychotic, creep factor aside, it has made Japan stagnant and extremely predictable. I mean, we have the trifecta right here; loli, 63, and slut. No, I don't want an Idolm@ster crossover of any sort, keep that shit where it belongs. a Female Paul adds nothing to the world except more hentai (some of it now canon). I already mentioned my gripes with a female Force character, but even worse is when the word "sexy" has to be deliberately added...we already know how superficial the world is, especially Japan, it always irks me to have the words "cute" and "sexy" deliberately pointed out because it already cements the character in shallow waters and means that you've pretty much unearthed all the personality their going to bring. Also "sexy" usually isn't "sexy" so much as it is "whorish", if I want that, I have Anna lol.

All that's left is the vampire and the zombie; the latter of which I actually think could add the most in terms of actual gameplay, the Soul Calibur team made a very successful 3D trap character in the form of Viola, and if this zombie character could create multiple "orbs" for control from her limbs, that could be interesting, especially since that could alter hitboxes but also limit your own options. It could be a very risk-reward character that I doubt Harada will think off because he's too busy making her "fuckable" which is exactly what I DON'T want from a zombie of any type (but if chosen is exactly what I'll get...*sigh*). The vampire is another pointless addition, using her supernatural background there are some interesting possibilities, but again, one I don't think would ever be brought up in a meeting, and the only reason to connect her to Lili's family is "oh hey, they're from Western Europe, that's close enough to Eastern Europe, you know what that means!". She'd probably even looks like a generic blonde/similar to Lili, and I just...can't give any more fucks...

As I said before, Tekken, re-evaluate yourself; make your roster more lean and effective. The biggest turn off for new comers is having to see 50+ different matchups to learn, especially when like half of them are clones "except they do THIS" to just annoy the piss out of them. No one asked, but that's my angry 2 cents, now... IGNORE ME!!!

Ok, so the update for everywhere else but Japan got delayed. However, something interesting happens if you go to Japan's version of the game. Say I unlock 1 character on the Japanese game. When I get back on the English one, new it gives me an unlock over there for it as well. It's possible this may have happened because the unlock on the Japanese version was Hwoarang, who doesn't exist in the US game yet, but it sees I unlocked someone, so it gives me an unlock for someone I can get instead.

Honestly, this is fine. I didn't really care who won. If it was Shin, i'd have laughed and waited to see how he played, and I kind of wish he did win now because a friend of mine has utter hatred for him.
