yeah that picture was posted a while back (here and here) when the artbook originally came out. still waiting on a translation though.

if you could, there any new or interesting arts you see in there? anything relating to That Man or even Aria would be nice.

also a bigger version of Dr. P's story picture would be nice too.

Well, the only other pics of That Man are the design pics. There's nothing else relating to Aria (unless you count Valentine's story pic, and it IS Valentine, not Aria), sadly.

Can do on the Paradigm pic though. Give me a minute.

Edit: Here you are. This is as big as Photobucket AND Imageshack would let me make it. It's a huge 1612 x 2338 on my computer, though. If you know an easy way for me to give that version to you if this one isn't big enough, just let me know. b >_< d

nice. :D well i just love design pics, so early concepts for any of the cast would be neat. i know those dengeki scans had Izuna looking like Chipp with black hair and Sol with an outfit closer to the old look and KY WITH A BEARD :O also arts of the servants would rock too.

Edit: Sorry Zazz, when I got home my internet was down, and now I have class innnn... five minutes (well, I have to LEAVE in five minutes, or I won't make the 11AM class). I should be home right after class though, (3PM at the latest) so THEN you'll have your scans. If you see this before then, drop me a line as to which Servants you're most interested in, or anything like that. I probably won't be able to do to the whole book at once (time, errands, etc), so prioritizing is good. b >_< d

Concept art is go though. :D Each character only has one page of that, but the Servants compose most of the book.

Anyway, I'm scanning them now. I'll edit the post with them when I get them up. I'll probably just do a few pages since I don't know what you want and I'm feeling amazingly bad right now.

Edit 3: And here you are. I only did those because I assume you've seen Ky's, and I know I've seen Sol's somewhere online, so you've probably seen that too. Also, the inside back cover because I dunno if anyone's seen that and it was easy to scan.

A little off-topic but I believe I've created That Man in Soul Calibur IV by basing that artwork of him....whee! Anyways, the Valentine pic is creepy. And the last pic is....uh, it's confusing. What's going on there?

The last pic as in the back cover pic? Or the last pic in the back cover pic? :O If you're talking about the Valentine one on the back cover, I think she's sitting down, holding her hat, and talking to Lucifer. Kinda looks like she's wearing a schoolgirl uniform. O_o

I hate to say it Ashercroix but those scans get shrunk whenever you upload them to photobucket, you'd be better off just using Sendspace or Rapidshare.

If you promise to compress the images as thoroughly as is practical before uploading them, I'd be happy to give you some webspace.

(By compress I mean don't post up bitmaps or 100% quality JPEGs if it's just a black-and-white comic page. Like, use Save for Web and Devices in Photoshop or whatever.)

Don't feel too bad, even a friend of mine who works as a professional translator was unwilling to tackle just one short story -- his response was something like, "That's not a short story." True enough, there's actually about 70-80 novel-size pages worth of text between all the stories.

If I had the time (I don't) or a digital transcript (ditto) I might just be able to plow through it inspite of my fairly limited translation skills and produce something. Good luck to anyone willing to take on the task.

Would you mind terribly uploading the design work for Raven and That Man? Other characters and Servants in general would be nice, too. I know stuff has been scanned from the Dengeki Maoh Feb '08 Character File and the Complete Guide, but I get the feeling they kept some stuff under wraps to sell the big book.

Going out on a limb here, but has anyone tried to clean up some of the 2-page spread artwork of D.I.'s? There were a few in particular I liked, such as the one where Sol is fighting a giant monster thingie and breaking the tooth off it. And also another one with Sol and Ky battling Gears. There's more "spreads" out there, but I haven't seen decent quality versions of them. Anyone willing to help me obtain them? Also, looking for some "cleaned up" renditions of original GG artwork...I know they have GG Cards and GG Bible character scans...but is that all there is? One more thing, I'm finding A.B.A.'s GGXX Slash full-body character portrait to be elusive...just as elusive as any hi-rez portraiture of Kliff and Justice from AC+. Any help would be appreciated.
