TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Er, yeah, in other words JI it. You can also tap up during hit stop of the 3rd hit and just input 214D very quickly.
LM_Akira Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 Wow that JI into Charge is awesome, never thought to try that. WUT, when you talked about doing 2 Lv3 BRPs in a row, how do you get the second one to be at Lv3?
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 If you have level 3 maxed out, you can make the second one a level 3. You kind of have to buffer the move a little bit so you do it as soon as you recover. You can also do level 3 GB from level 3 BRP if you have your charge maxed, which is interesting to say the least.
LM_Akira Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 Ahh yeah, I can get it to work now thanks. Lv3 BRP > Lv3 SV also works as a flashy combo too I found (damage isn't really saying much mind).
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Yeah, level 3 GB is probably the best of the level 3 followups, you can take someone to the corner and do a decent juggle there.
Sesshyru Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Forget you 2... I can't even get my fingers to JI the first RI >.< Im having problems full dust looping Ky and Jam. Slayer I have to 5k if its a wall throw, and even thats funny cause they can tech out some times. Im not worried about the double lvl 3's too much sence they don't do much damage, but the thought of doing a RI > SV > full dust loop = smexy.. Also, after a 2D, I have a lot of problems connecting the 5k, 5s or 2s...
lars Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 in lv3 i generally keep it to a rock it as soon as i can throw it mmmmm u can use hs in anticipation as a deadly anti air but it's kinda hard u have to anticipate something like hs(ch), charge cancel dash,(s),hs,sjc, air combo
Hintalove Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 just buffer a cc into every random aa hs you do.
lars Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 sure that's i always do. does someone use bhb lv3 as meaty? it seems it can be use like the cse of ky but it's worse;opponent can't see anything.anyways the blockstun of bhb3 is disapointing.as soon the firewall disappear opponent can attack
Sesshyru Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I use BHB all the time. Prolly so because I’m still trying to figure out how Akira connects after the 3rd hit on the lvl 3 RI.. BHB, to me, offers the most options. After you hit (usually after a 2D or 5k->5S, or 5HS) if they are hit: you can AC->FRC: (Option 1): 66 -> 2D->CC->5k->5s->Dustloop. (Option 2): 66->standard ground gatling->lvl2 RI->5k->Loop. (Option 3): xx Super. (Option 4): (In air, no AC FRC) straight into a D. loop or 5HS before. (Option 5): 66-> Throw (In corner you know what to do to face) (Option 6): (No AC FRC) 66-> lvl 1 Gun blaze (Have to hold down dust) (Option 8): Fafnir->5k-> Loop On block: I uasuly run in and throw, you have plenty of time if you don't AC FRC. Works every time. This is what I have noticed and done consistently when I actually have lvl 3. The only thing is, you have to be close, if the 3rd explosion will wiff, just stand back and charge. All info is character dependant. I actually pulled off Option 1 off on a Jam just by randomly throwing the BHB out there and took 70% of her life in a full D.loop (All 10 hits or what ever). The cool thing is, some times when you CC that 2D from Option 1, you might get a lvl 3 charge. The final hit, BPR, will be lvl 3, so you go into a nother Dloop, but this is kinda risky cause you gota time the CC perfictly. I only did it once on accident...
lars Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 ok thxs for the info. on block i mixup ducking attack or dust or throw that works pretty well but i have to stdy if i can jump and use basic high/low game i'm a little surprise u have time to 2d cc to a lv3 before continuing the gatling so u ac,frc,dash,2d right?i'll have a try in this case thanks
Sesshyru Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Um yah.. You got a lot of time lol.. The first explosion covers the AC FRC, your dash is in the 2nd - start of 3rd, and by the time you get the 2D out they are still in stun (doin that trippin motion) and you pull it off. You just gota be like Akira and runnin off the break from that FRC. I still dono fully how he does it so quickly >.>
Goryus Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 ok thxs for the info. on block i mixup ducking attack or dust or throw that works pretty well but i have to stdy if i can jump and use basic high/low game i'm a little surprise u have time to 2d cc to a lv3 before continuing the gatling so u ac,frc,dash,2d right?i'll have a try in this case thanks If you action charge while your meter is draining, it stops the drain. So if you have full Order Sol meter, then ac -> frc a level 3 BHB, then cc a little during the combo, you may well be able to get the meter back up to do another level 3.
Sesshyru Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Yo Lars where did you get that boss avatar?

TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 does someone use bhb lv3 as meaty? it seems it can be use like the cse of ky but it's worse;opponent can't see anything.anyways the blockstun of bhb3 is disapointing.as soon the firewall disappear opponent can attack Level 3 BHB is a fantastic meaty. And how can you call +37 on block "disappointing blockstun"? If you AC FRC, you can get it to be +46. Either way you have enough time to do some ridiculous mixups. The followup potential after a level 3 BHB is really out of this world, you can do so many things. One followup not mentioned is 6P, you can land 6P after a level 3 BHB in the corner and then do 5HS to juggle into a loop, this does massive damage, more than doing 2D CC and it's easier too. I felt I should also mention that most of those followups do not require you to FRC the AC, you can just do level 3 BHB AC and still combo into pretty much all of those followups. Even in pressure you can AC without FRC and have good grounded pressure options, you are still at +23 even if you don't FRC. You just have more options if you FRC, you can charge back up a little and then attack, possibly with another level 3, or you can jump and do guard break options from j.S, etc.
lars Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 ok thx i did'nt think the blockstun was that much massive maybe i did it from a bad range and some hits didn't tuch it's true i use it as meaty since a short time thanks for those infos titanium
Sesshyru Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 What does meaty mean anyway?.. Yah if you do it from too far out, the 3rd one doesn't hit or wiffs and they can come right out and start doing stuff.
LM_Akira Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 Meaty means doing a move as oki so that it's already active as the opponent wakes up. For example, the 2nd GB in the standard GB crossup (fast GB, not delayed) situation is meaty as it is already active as the opponent wakes up...and it will stuff/beat reversal attacks if they try them. So meaty Lv3 BHB means throw out the BHB just before the opponent rises, so that the flames are active as the opponent wakes up into them. 2HS has limited use as a meaty oki setup too.
Sesshyru Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Ohhh... I always figured it ment a lot of dmg in a single move.. That changes what I said then.
Hintalove Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 How about notation some proper bhb combos?preferably starting from some where around lv2.
SSMugen Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 question. Is there any 2hs rc combo's that can leave me in an open situation to do let's say....a gunblaze-crossup? My friends seem to fall for the crossup enough but I can't get into the situation where it's available to me enough. And are there any other reliable combs to get into the situation?
