We will be hosting Qualifiers for the four biggest games at Defend The North: Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition v. 2012, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Killer Instinct and Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena Hosted By: Queens College Science Fiction and Animation Club (Sci-Fi/Anime) Team Ehrgeiz (ERGZ) Team Professional Instigators Entertainment (PIE) Stream(s): Team Spooky's Sabin (Arturo Sanchez) twitch.tv/nycfurby Venue Fees: $10 for Players $10 for Spectators (NO PRE-REGISTRATION) $10 per game *NOTE* Pre-registration is NOT available at this time. An e-mail account associated with DTS will be provided within 24 hours of this event going up. This e-mail address will be associated with information sharing concerning the event, as well as pre-registration information. All info will updated on this page as well. Qualifier Information: Note: All Games to be played on MICROSOFT consoles (Xbox One/Xbox 360) Chrono Phantasma on PS3 General Information (Partial Credit goes to Level Up & Shoryuken.com): - Tournaments are DOUBLE ELIMINATION STYLE - Wireless Controllers are NOT allowed (Battery packs must be taken out, and 360 wireless controllers must be hardwired to the console.) - Cash Prizes will be issued via cheque (1 week to process) - Collusion of any kind with your competitors is considered cheating. If the Tournament Director determines that any competitor is colluding to manipulate the results or intentionally underperforming, the collaborating players may be immediately disqualified. This determination is to be made at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director. Anyone disqualified in this manner forfeits all rights to any titles or prizes they might have otherwise earned for that tournament. - Programmable controllers and/or turbo functions are banned, and if a player is found using any such function will immediately forfeit the game. - Pausing a game will result in forfeit of that round unless the opponent chooses to waive this option. Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition: - Entry limit is 128 players - One match is Best of 3 games. - One game is 3 Rounds/99 seconds - Grand Finals will be Best of 5. - Winners are CHARACTER LOCKED. - Losers may elect to change characters. - Blind select can be requested Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3: - Entry limit is 64 players - The Tournament will be Best of 5. - Winners are CHARACTER/ORDER LOCKED. - Losers may elect to change characters. - Galactus Mode is PROHIBITED - Game Breaking Glitches are PROHIBITED (TACs, DHC Glitches, etc.) Killer Instinct (Information is TENTATIVE): - Entry limit is 32 players - One match is Best of 3 games. - One game is 99 seconds - Grand Finals will be Best of 5. - Winners are CHARACTER LOCKED. - Losers may elect to change characters. - Blind select can be requested BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma - Entry limit is 32 players - One match is Best of 3 games. - One game is 3 Rounds/99 seconds - Grand Finals will be Best of 5. - Winners are CHARACTER LOCKED. - Losers may elect to change characters. - Game Breaking Glitches are PROHIBITED Edited November 12, 2013 by Young Navigator
