BoltofShadow Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 The only thing that makes me happier than getting a pink rank, is losing it to those better than me, because the square is fundamentally meaningless, and a small price to pay when measured to the value of lessons learned from fighting those better than yourself. If you lose and learn from it is it really a loss?....ok yes but that's not the point, it's when you lose and either it's by BS, Netplay, or something you can't identify that makes them sting. Every time I lose to mAc (which is a lot) or honestly to...pretty much everyone I lose to I at least learn something from it so yay. Unless you play Noel or your name is Toan, than for some reason I don't see what I did wrong XD
Errol Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Yes it's a loss. I know it's the holidays but let's not get too soft.
mAc Chaos Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 If you're outside of a tournament you should be using your matches to learn and improve.
Errol Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 good time to start learning that you would've just been eliminated had it been a tournament
Errol Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 see you're not learning. This is why you always lose the first 2 matches before you start winning. It's not a tournament so this is the best time for you to learn that.
someonewhodied Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 you don't need to learn. You just need to play so scummy that your opponent can't learn how to beat you or learn anything from you.
Monarch Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 you don't need to learn. You just need to play so scummy that your opponent can't learn how to beat you or learn anything from you. My motto.

If you money match someone in a FT10 and they destroy you 10-2, nobody's going to care if you say "b-but, they would've lost to me in a tournament!!"Obviously I'd play different in a tournament when the focus is just winning two games than when I can pretty much do what I want on netplay. My goal there is to just totally download and shut down the opponent, not just win twice and bail out.
Errol Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Maybe I win two matches and then just troll and try to land astrals.
mAc Chaos Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 That's my secret, Errol. I'm always trolling.

mAc Chaos Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Lol do you play on psn a lot ? i don't think I'v seen your hakumen before.I play on PSN, but I rarely play public matches. I just invite a friend to my room and do a 1v1 or get on when someone asks me to play.

Monarch Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 My mistake earlier gamehead, thought your PSN ID listed below your name was accurate.
mAc Chaos Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Oh ok. Are you east coast or west ?East coast. Our connection would probably be fine since I have FiOS, as long as nobody's using wireless or torrenting a movie.
