Grimstar Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I don't know the input of Amane's attack, but the one where he reaches out at you from across the screen and it's a low(?) attack (looks like Dhalsim's cr.HP)... Kagura's 6D~A can blow right passed it and hit him.

I don't rely on 6D~C but Amane shuts it down almost entirely with his physical based attacks. That, paired with a slow run, I often feel like my only real option is a super jump barrier block to approach lol (Like the old days with Nu). Anyone have experience with this matchup or have general advice against Amane I could apply?
Solless Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 After a few matchups all I know is that his damn drill is pretty much un punishable when it hits lvl 3. Irritates the hell out of me. You can't even Counter Assault during the middle of it.
Angry Guy of DE Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 This fight feels like Kagura is on a boat...hoping to catch something out there. Amane can check you attempting full screen sonic booms and Stance 6C as well. Having poor air normals combined with a bad mobility lets Amane harass you easily. On the plus side Amane has no overheads aside from j.A so you can keep your charge while blocking. 6C is your only hope to catch him out of the air but Amane's command jump can bait it and then punish with his j.C's. Your Fireball super is a good reversal if he tries to pressure with the command jump. I don't like this match-up. Honestly any fight where Kagura has to try and catch the opponent who can keep to the air is only trouble.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Ugh, I played this matchup today at some offline casuals. It's horrible, its like all Kagura can do is just sit there while he dances across the screen. Its a pain in the ass.
KrsJin Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Yeah, this matchup is awful lol. Be as patient as you can be and try to snipe a j.C high above Amane imo. Once you have life lead, pitch a tent and let him come to you. If you have 50 heat, you can avoid some of Amane's tops by flashkicking them, rapid canceling near the end and air dashing out. It's a lot of effort and meter but sometimes it's worth it.
Teolee Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Why hasn't anyone brought up the fact that you can go under 5c with skateboard on reaction??? This match up isn't that bad, you can just play patiently until you know you can skateboard in get him to block or push him to the corner then have your way with him.

Because your "skateboard" totally gets FC by his 6b if he baits you back
