From the video I'd say TCL > RC > 22C is possible

 

I'm not sure what was their point in showing us those raw valiants combos even the growler one ( it did looked cool I ought to admit). Its not like we can rely to throw raw valiant here and there so I thought that was irrelevant. 

 

They showed those because Valiant was changed, attacks won't launch anymore/launching attacks wallstick during charger (not sure about drive moves). Just look at j.C and Growler

So is 6B straight jump cancelable now? Thats kind of nice

well last time I heard 2c was nerfed so its natural they do this, Otherwise it would have been overdone too much on the nerfing.

what do you mean by attacks won't launch anymore? Does that makes the current options obsolete during valiant charger?

Not sure but basically no more Valiant Hornet dual weak point stuff, normally/in 1.1 during Charger j.C launches the opponent upwards (like here) but in 2.0 that doesn't happen anymore (

). Only Cobra seems to levitate them higher a little.

 

You can try it out yourself with multiple Growlers in 1.1.

Well you still kinda get a KD from the dash TK gustaf so it's not that bad really. If you happen to be near corner you can go for TCL and corner combo. 

 

Which reminds me, the new TCL might not be that bad. The slide state seems to last quite long so dash 3D/6D after RC might be possible if you happen to have a weakpoint. Time will tell.

 

EDIT: Meant TCL RC dash 3D/6D. 

 

if you have 50 meter i would assume you should rather do something like 5bb 236a RC 3c stuff

So what optimal options opens in 2.0 with wallstick after TLC because this seems like a big loss even for the corner. Also I think they lowered damage a bit.

I think he was referring to the option we have given we land a phalanx hit confirm. Then you could tk gustaf and then cancel it into a 3c maybe with the 50 meter.

I'm willing to bet there'll be still be ways to do it, but right now j.C doesn't lift up like it used to because every normal hit wallsticks now, instead of just grounded normals. This has been a known change since the very first loketest.

 

But these 'change' videos have all been mostly useless in regard to being comprehensive. They pretty much just showcase 3 changes, when there's plenty of others that are rumored and/or confirmed through other videos. It was true for Tager, and it's true for these. We have no idea if 2C retained the reported nerf, no idea if Growler has a hitbox, the Gustaf change in that Azrael vs Ragna showcase where it staggered on standing, non-counter hit, etc.

2c was nerfed and it looks like growler was buffed. that much is shown in the video

All these videos so far haven't really been that informative, apart from a few changes.

 

I suppose we'll just have to wait and see until new footage have been released, preferably ones from proper Azrael players and the sure-to-come combo videos.

I really do hope Scud Punishment retained its changes, else it'll remain as the super no one really uses.

 

TCL>RC>22C does SEEM like a valid option as the others have suggested, and even TCL>RC>Dash 6D/3D.

 

Even if those don't work we still have 5BB>Gustaf>RC>3C... midscreen or 5BB>Gustaf>RC>IAD>j.C>5B>TCL>... for corner as we've contemplated before.

I'm still pretty excited for this version of Azrael. We lose some of our offensive power and pressure, but that new Growler is tasty, y'all feel me?

Yeah probably right as you can go to 3C 22C 5B TC valiant from that and get fullscreen corner carry.

 

Growler is probably my favorite change hands down. :3

5BB TCL BHS still works but does 170 less damage than in 1.1 (3874 to 3704), 5BB TCL does the same damage (2317) so I guess BHS damage was reduced.

I hope no one is taking that change-list video too seriously. As several people pointed out, it only covered a few small things, without proper explanations, and excluded several other known changes. For the most part, it was just to get people excited and interested in 2.0.

 

TCL change seems strong in the corner. Picking up confirms involving 2B > TCL for example seem like they are going to benefit a lot.

Midscreen however, losing that wallbounce hurts more than just Rapid combos. Meaty sentinal dump oki probably wont exist, and I'm not sure if it will allow for BHS to be tacked on for lazy damage (edit: it works). Gustaf Rapid 3C or 2C > 6D/3D will likely be more common soon.

I'm looking forward to 6B's changes. Until I nee some frame data or I see proficient Azrael players make use of it, I wont try to think too much about it, but I always liked 6B as an anti-air. Now it'll probably see a lot more use!

Losing midscreen IAD combos hurts a lot, they were the most fun part of the character.  I hope something else fun is discovered, Azrael seems fine overall in 2.0 but removing fun things is not a good way to keep people playing your game

i think azrael will be okay but it worries me that people aren't following up TCL (screw it TLC) in the corner. but it is only day one thou but still, mash dat a guys.

Did Growler lose it's hit invul like in the loke test?

 

it still has some invuln and does have a hit box

What's the general impression on new Azrael? Can't find a good change list.

 

he got hurt and he got buffed. TCL was a nerf but they inproved other parts of him to help. i think he will do okay biased on what i saw

He functions the same as before. Only small changes compared to nearly every other character. Too soon to really tell.
