this new system feels like it is designed to reward playing, or something, rather than just having a high win rate. But if someone has a high win rate but not a lot of games, actually, they are probably screwed because they didn't get to play as many games for whatever reason. Which is odd to me.

That's the way I want it actually. Previous system would just reward the winner who has the best overall record. So say one person goes 12-0 but the next person goes 15-1; the second guy would automatically be counted out because he lost one match, like the BCS system for the most part (assuming all the players are Top Name colleges, the 1 lost equals no championship shot. And I personally hate the BCS system.) This system allows me to also give people who had really good/clutch performances a nod too. EX: Bloodwolf's performance last week where he almost beat a team by himself. In the old system, you would just see that he went 7-10 and that he probably would have zero chance to reach MVP thanks to his team letting him down since he's deep at 41%. Look at Someonewhodied, he had a horrible game 1 at 1-4 but turned it around in game 2 and went 5-1. The old system would leave both them screwed for the most part thanks to that one bad game. Now they both still have chances to make a run.

In my opinion, the new system adds more life to the MVP Hunt and not just make it look like "who got the best record". In NFL/NHL/MLB/NBA, the person with the best stats doesn't always get the vote for MVP.
