Just downloaded the vid to check out the rest of it, and was very impressed all around. Eddie combos are pretty hard to innovate with, but you did a great job here (especially with that Johnny loop). And Bahamutt_Zero again provides top-notch editing, you guys make a great team. Really looking forward to more in the future from both of you!

i think most of the situations are pretty clear, so i'm a bit confused by the first part of your post. then again, if you're talking about the times when he faded out after a corner knockdown, it's probably because he was just gonna go into a standard unblockable combo, and didn't feel like showing it.

and well, it's like latif/cloudstrife pointed out, it's difficult to innovate with Eddie combos (unless you wanna get really esoteric/wacky? idk). but some of them aren't quite standard, like some of the corner untechable set-ups with Shadow Gallery. the johnny loop wasn't quite standard, although it might otherwise look like a run-of-the-mill drill FRC iad unblockable. (eh, what do i know, i don't play Eddie.)

Fading out isn't that major issue, but fading in from the book is like "Hey where the hell are the characters? Oh, the combo started already, blegh!". The combos/setups don't have to be all super funky or anything, but the setups look kinda textbook: what happens when people actually try to escape the unblockable? As for combo innovation, not every "combo" vid has a lot of it, there's several out there that look good because of the setups that are being used(non-Eddie) instead of the actual combos(Promise(OS), Nostalgia(JO)). I dunno, but the stuff I saw here is kinda like "weren't you supposed to be doing that with Eddie already?", heck perhaps it is that good:P And I thought you did play Baiken XD

I dunno, how many Eddies do you see pull off 100% combos on PO on a hit in a real match? How many times do you see cool 1-hit shadow gallery loops? Multiple IAD combos with little eddie-P? Have you EVER seen an Eddie use that sword super in a match? In my opinion, this is the best type of combo video you can have: practical stuff that is also new and creative; by in-large not used because:

a) People that play Eddie don't bother learning the cool character specific combos (aka JO)

b) Very Situational (ok you probably won't land 5d midscreen without little eddie out, but if you ever did there's your best option right there!)

You say this is "regular, boring Eddie" combo stuff but Latiff seems to turn every match of him into a personal combo video (see :28 for a good example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmPbXF9nO34) However, do you see other Eddie's do this? Hell no, they stick with their grounded 5k 6k or command throw mixup. Until you consistently see Eddies (and I include Japanese Eddies in this) pull off this kind of stuff, then I definitely do not think you have a right to say this is run of the mill combo material.

Nah I didn't link that as a good example of mixup, just a combo off of that you would probably not see off of other Eddie players in the same situation. The mixup part probably should have been earlier in my post

Showing off instead of winning., its true that I'll go for the biggest combo which will end up in a flashy way I guess. not that I like doing them cause their flashy. I try to do them cause they'll end up in a 100% combo, its gonna be hard to do which is you see me sometimes drop it...
