Yeah, I'm having a little of a problem... See what had happened was, I was playing BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend for a while, enjoying it for all it's worth. :yaaay:However, now that I'm ready to start getting into the fighting system, I'm having trouble finding a character that suits my playstyle. :gonk: I'm a rushdown sort of player that relies more on solid fundamentals rather than combos, but I need a character that has some variety to their moveset, fairly easy to understand, but I need a lot of practice in order to completely master. Any ideas? :v:

You can try some Azrael I suppose. He plays pretty well if you've got solid fundamentals and seems to do a fair amount of damage just with the most basic of combos. Has a decent variety of moves but the main thing i that you need to be somewhat smart with your pressure because of how his dash works.

To get anywhere with anyone you're going to need decent combos though or else you're not going to get anything optimal off your hits and you'll end up hitting someone 7 times and losing because they hit you twice but confirmed better.

So many rushdown characters to name in this game.

:RG:

:JI:

:LI: (Of some sorts)

:TS:

:MK: (Based on your description I think she'll be the best one for you.)

:VA:

:AZ:

:TER:

There are probably even more that I missed.

Sounds like Makoto :MK: is the right one for you :D

For rushdowns I personally enjoy playing ragna or terumi. But if you are looking for someone simple with more tools to offer like projectiles, DP's, and gap-closers. I'd probably recommend Jin. He is a well balanced character that has something for damn near any situation...as mush as I hate him for it. =/

You can try using Terumi, heard he's really easy to play.

Not really, he's a high risk, high reward glass cannon that takes skill to use effectively. Landing his drive specials to build the meter he needs to deal serious damage isn't easy, and you don't have much room for error with his low health. I wouldn't recommend him to beginners.

Agreed, his pressure can be overwhelming once he has meter and momentum but without it he is vulnerable. Most of his normals are short range and he has basically no highs to speak of on the ground so you'll have to get creative with your 50/50 mix up. He also has no means of escape without meter if you're on the defensive.
