I don't know why, but for some unknown reason, when I play online, I'll do a decent job and then the next day, I suck! Why does this happen? Anyone else feel the same way? Anyone know what's causing this? Or why it's happening? I feel like I'm losing a lot of potential with this game. And then gaining it. And then losing it. I mean, I KNOW I used to be pretty decent but then all of a sudden, I got so rusty? Idk.. anyone? .__. Discuss!

Ahh, the "bad fighting game day" syndrome. This happens to me as well sometimes.

Some days it's harder to focus, and when you feel that you can't focus and play like you usually do it's best to just take a break and try again later that day or the next day since you won't be able to play as you usually do and usually ends in you getting frusterated at the game.

Just keep playing the game and don't give up~

Thanks, that actually helped. I'll use my time for something else when that happens. ^^

Online play in fighting games is notoriously shaky at best. You just lose so much compared to offline play even with a good connection.

If you really want to experience fighting games to the fullest you have to play offline with people.

It actually doesn't. Yeah, sorry. :[

The Online is very inconsistent.

And aside from learning minor thing about the match ups and seeing player's tricks, there's not much you can to adopt to the situation unless you take advantage of the latency yourself.

But yeah, inconsistent is the key word.

Basically what TheArm05 stated.

But I can understand if your general area lacks an offline scene.

This has happened to me before. I remember once I was literally at my very best with Lambda. My Zoning was flawless (for the most part), and I was doing high level combos left and right, all while fighting a Hakumen who actually seemed to be a few skill levels ahead of me, in all honesty. Then on the next day, I could hardly even zone a Tager well and I was dropping combos like there was no tomorrow. XD

I think it has to do with your mood or mayhaps your hands are just tired? Or, as Wokker said, it might just be "Bad Fighting Game Day Syndrome."

Just go do ultimate mars or vs man, I have off days as well. Don't let yourself feel down!

I know how you feel honestly. I was just confused as to what was even going on in that match we had today. But yea...I've been through a losing streak from hell. Dropping combos, flailing around, failing to zone Tagers properly...the whole nine yards.

Taking a break from this game for a while. I can't concentrate when I'm frustrated.

taking a break really does help sometimes. I find some things just take time, things I have some trouble doing then when I try to do them again, it's no problem.

Everyone! Thanks for replying. :] I've been busy lately so I haven't really gotten the chance to check this thread. I'm still having a bad time getting back into this game. x.x At least I'm not the only one who's experienced this.

It happens I get it every once in a while... but it gets better trust me. Whenever it happens I just watch other strategies other Amane's do specially Jiro <3 nothing is better than seeing what you can/cant do!
