  1. I could have sworn that there was some huge fuss being made back in the first Loketest, that Nu could use Act Parser out of Sickle Storm, Spike Chaser, and Gravity Seed? Hmm... Maybe I'm not remembering, correctly. :o Oh my goodness, those combos! Hmm... I'm not missing Mode Change as much, now that I've seen those. I love what they've done with her Drive, overall. It seems to have improved in some way, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
  2. Oh, thanks! Wow, Nu looks awesome, from that first match with her. I can really see how she and Lambda are different, now. O.O
  3. Was there some stream I missed? That aside, did anyone else notice that Gravity Seed stays out regardless of whether or not the opponent is on it? I can't help but wonder if, with the way the cool-down now works, if it could be used as a type of slowing wall, to further hinder the opponent's advances. And Projectile level 2 when the swords first come out? I'm not sure how I feel about that. Like, I can see people timing their Drive to intercept the projectiles of others, but I imagine that in some match ups, save for some small situations, it won't matter much, unless I'm missing something? Can she still cancel her Specials into Act Parser, by the way? In the small demonstration they released, I didn't see anything to do with that. Was it removed?
  4. So, basically, they gave us Nu's Unlimited stuff, in that she can cancel into Act Parser out of any of her Specials? And on top of that, Nu now has three variations on every move? I must say, aside from their Normals and a few Drive Attacks, both Nu and Lambda are looking quite solid, and different from one another. I'm excited for this Nu new! ^_^
  5. So... Can we say anything about Lambda here, since the Thread made for her is now Locked? Does anyone else notice that Nu makes the same pose as Lambda when using her new Drive attack? In fact, the trajectory of the sword seems to travel in the same course as Lambda's. I can't find a pic of it, though. Which means that J.6D isn't exclusive to Nu, or Lambda just happens to have it and all her other Sword directions are different. :o I really hope that Nu gets something more than that. I've heard that CT Nu was solid/OP, but I want more to play with than just base Nu. I want to be able to combo from a distance like Hilda from UNIB or Glacius from KI. :I
  6. I hope that Nu gets more to play with then just a new Drive attack.
  7. I main Nu due to my love for both controlling the pacing of the match and making it a hassle for the opponent to do their things. Also, I enjoy that Nu can fight at close-range as well, which is something I actually enjoy. Basically, I like having a large amount of options in most any situation, and being able to come at the opponent in different ways and angles. Zoning in general is a very fun element in fighting games for me, be it Nu, Yukiko, Axl Low (Yes, I use him like a zoner. X3), and so on. If I can keep a distance and only get up close when I want to and on my terms, I'll likely enjoy the character.
  8. I've never had a Sub that felt right in my hands. Mayhaps with Nu and Lambda now split, that can change. I wouldn't mind playing a rush-down oriented Murakumo-Unit, honestly.
  9. Yeah. Also, I think Nu got a new Sprite for one of her Air Drives: http://i.imgur.com/g5dh1OU.png right over where it also shows Lambda using Calamity Sword.
  10. To me, Lambda was a bit boring around EX, but solid all around. She had the right options for everything, and didn't really suffer from any holes in her gameplan. The thing is, though, CP1 Nu was a breath of fresh air, and had been given a ton of options Lambda didn't have, at the expense of losing some of that solidness in some areas. Now with them separate, however, I feel this could be an opportunity for each to gain some tools to fill those holes each side would suffer from. I'm just wondering what's going to happen to their DDs, OD, Gravity Seed, and Supra Rage, all of which, were shared between the two.
  11. Hmm... With that information in mind, I expect that Act Parser Zwei (Not Blade? :o) will be a bit more... free in use. Hmm... That makes me think that Lambda's Swords will also have more hit-stun than before, or that Zwei will be able to cancel into more than Calamity Sword and Grab. Now, now. Let's not be negative. I mean, who knows? They may buff Makoto and give her a 20% chance at Acorn Taunt.
  12. No, but strangely enough, they look a bit longer. :o Goodness, I'm loving the new color of Lambda's Drive. Nu's always looked so... meh.
  13. Now that I think about it. What are they going to do with their ODs? Having two identical ones would just be a tad... disappointing. That aside, OH MY GOODNESS, they did it! They separated them! I'm not really sure how I feel about this. I mean, Mode Change wasn't exactly my strong suit, so I won't miss it much, but I do know that tons of people are both used to it and loved it, so it's sad to see that group will have to choose between the two now. Hmm... I could see Nu getting some very interesting new tools from this split, however. I'd love to see something like a trap move to help control space. *Sigh* Information just doesn't come quick enough. Also, I love Lambda's portrait, but now I'm curious... Will both count in German? XD
  14. I'm getting the feeling that Lambda may end up playing like Weiss from Arcana Heart. It would make sense, she'd still use swords, but in a more Rush-Down-esque fashion.
  15. *Looks through Thread and sees that Celica is playable* Well, that's not too shocking. I mean, it was bound to happen at some point. :o *Looks further and sees that Lambda is playable* ... Why don't they bring back 3RD Protagonist and Shinjiro for P4AU, while they're at it? In all seriousness, I'm both hyped for this, and dumbfounded. @_@
  16. Well, when I was first starting with Lambda/Nu (And by that, I mean when I actually started learning combos, zoning, and match-ups) I would usually practice against Ragna, Litchi, and Tager/Hakumen. They're three characters that can help you to get used to Nu: Fighting Ragna will help you to get used to the fundamental Zoner V.S Rush-Down battle. Every tool in Ragna's arsonal is designed to try to get him up close and personal to us, while alternatively, every tool in our repertoire is designed to keep him at a comfortable distance and control the pace of the match, and hopefully, back him into a position where we can then start an offensive onslaught. Fighting Litchi will teach you the flow of the match and adapting quickly to a fast-paced switch in strategy the opponent may make. What do I mean by this? Well, Litchi with her pole is slightly different from Litchi without her pole. With the pole equipped, she has quite a bit of range on her normals and will usually be played slightly more defensively; and she also has access to a meterless DP. Without it, she gains some space control and zoning thanks to the pole flying about every which way, she gains faster normals and will have a much easier time closing the gap; so her game plan becomes a bit more offensive. With this is mind, you'll both learn how to handle a character with a vast plethora of tools (much like our very own Nu), and character that can challenge our range in some cases using her pole. When fighting Tager and Hakumen, bear in mind that this will be a much different battle than the above two. These match ups will test your patience and reflexes, because if you screw up, it's almost game over. Tager, while being the slowest character in the game, has super armor on a few key moves, allowing him to safely get across the screen without much trouble. He also has one of the stronger projectiles in the game in Spark Bolt, which allows him, baring that he's allowed to charge it up, to bypass almost all of our long-ranged options. So, fighting him will help to sharpen your reactionary skills, and give you an easy/big target to practice zoning against. Fighting Hakumen is going to be like fighting someone designed to counter you in almost every way, without being made to destroy you. This battle is like a game of tic-tac-toe, in that every move made by both opponents will shift the outcome of the battle. This match up will teach you how to deal with the tools of others that directly counter your own, and in vice versa. There's a lot more to these match-ups than what I've described here, but to me, these are some good characters for a new Nu player to practice against, because of what each of the match-ups will teach without being too overwhelming or complicated. Hope this helps! ^_^
  17. Oh. I've only seen it done once in 1.0, but the person didn't even use 4D, so I thought otherwise. Damn. I was hoping that it was a bit easier to do than what I've seen in some recent videos, but it's not even that reliable? :I Well, even then, I'd love to at least do/try it once or twice. What's the most optimal (and works on the most characters) combo rout to use to lead up to the unblockable and afterwards? Edit: What I like to do is run up to them under the cover of the blades, and when they jump air-grab them. It works more often than not in my experience. Actually, the blades cover you well enough that you could potentially hit the opponent with 4B or 2B without the opponent knowing which you're about to use. Oh, and this isn't really answering your question, but it's fun to do and works similarly to the above. If you catch the opponent in the air with Legacy Edge for whatever reason, while they're guarding, jump and use J.5C as you descend from it and grab them. They literally won't see it coming and the damage you get is... alright. Hmm... maybe I'm a bit grab happy.
  18. ...Nu has an Unblockable set up... Is it Christmas already? Seriously, if I remember correctly, that wasn't possible before the patch. What changed? Did they make Recovery on Sickle Storm quicker or did they slow down the initial attack? :o
  19. Well, let's see... 2B: Good for approaching the opponent: Low hit box, so it can go under some of the opponent's attacks. 6B: A really good starter if it hits, especially in Luna Forma: It can potentially turn a 3300 Combo into a 4500 combo if done right, for example. 6A: Is our main Anti-Air, I'm not too sure if it's changed any in CP or in the new Patch, however: It's good for countering the obvious jump in, and air-dash. It's also a combo stable, allowing Nu to chain it into Crescent Saber without the combo turning wonky. 5C: Can some times be used for spacing, depending on what the opponent is doing It's other uses are: Fatal Counter, which can make some of Nu's better combo routs more forgiving, and of course, more damaging. It block-strings, it can sometimes be used to make a guessing game for the opponent, given what attacks it can chain into, 2C, 3C, and 6C, the latter of the two can be chained into a jump/Crescent Saber and Act Parser in Dia. 5C also links into most Specials, which can vary in usefulness, but nice nonetheless. 5A: I think it can still be used to anti-air certain moves, it's also one of our few ways out of pressure, if timed right. 2A: same as the above, but this is argubably better, due to the crutching hit box, and that it can link into throws. 4B: our only overhead, it can be used in block-strings to mix the opponent up: It's safe enough that if blocked, you aren't left in too bad of a position, but don't get predictable with it. It can also work as a Pseudo Anti-air, in some cases. J.5C: I personally throw this out at the beginning of a match when I feel the need to air-backdash, and want to trick the opponent into a combo by Counter Hitting them with it, and then using 6D>2D>Air Stuff. More conventional uses include: During combos, you can go the J.5C rout instead of the Air Swords, why? Because J.5C has the added benefit of linking into Grabs, which can tack on some extra damage, and just annoy the opponent. It can be used as a jump in, in some cases, but I'd recommend using J.2C rather than that, but it's still an option. Go with what you prefer. :3 J.2C: As stated above, it's good for Jumping in on the opponent. That's all the uses that I can think for it. :o I hope that this helps. I could also give my opinion on our Specials, but I'm not the most experienced when it comes to a lot to do with the details. So, be sure to take the advice of everyone else into consideration as well.
  20. Well, I actually haven't run into that situation as of yet, but I think one of your options would be Act Parser Zwei: Blade. Here's a simple combo you could try: (Luna) 5C>236B>22A>5DD>4DD>4B>2DD>22A>2DD>Supra Rage. Actually, since this would be a Fatal Counter, you could do a LOT of different things with this. Now, in Dia Forma, I'm really not sure of what you could do. A Rapid could potentially remedy this problem, but well, as far as Meterless options goes, I haven't a clue. I hope that helps.
  21. Has anyone done these combos as of yet?: [Luna]6B>3C>236B>66>6DD>2DD>623C>6DD>2DD>Air stuff. [Dia]6B>3C>22A>2C>same as the above at this point. [Luna]CH5C>3C>236B>66>6DD>2DD>623C>6DD>CT>OD>6DD>2DD>Air Stuff. (can be done without the Counter Hit or with 6B and 2B, but you can only do one rep of the air combo sequence.) [Dia]CH 623C>6DD>2DD>22A>2DD>Air stuff. Yeah, I know, I've never been very good at coming up with combos. XD
  22. Don't underestimate the likes of Supra Rage and 2C. They both have their uses.
  23. I can't wait until they change it back, then. I have no problem with doing it in Dia Forma, since there's no input that could possibly get in the way, but Luna Forma, especially during combos is a nightmare. >.< I guess it's time to revisit everything I've read before, since now that information can be put into practice. :3
  24. I've just never seen Supra Rage do that before, which is why I was so shocked. On another note, I just got CP (Woooooo!) and I'm having a bit of trouble with Nu: Supra Rage's input seems nigh impossible for me to do. I mean, I do the basic DP movement, but she keeps using Act Parser: Cavalier instead. Where do I start with learning her combos and was the best way of getting used to Phase Rift? Are there any... habits with Lambda that don't transfer over to using Nu? Like, is there anything that I should just completely wipe from my mind? Nu feels MUCH different than I had once thought she would... I love it!
  25. Holy... That HAS to be new. So, what else could we possibly beat with this now, and how much more useful does this apparent buff make Supra Rage?
