I could have sworn that there was some huge fuss being made back in the first Loketest, that Nu could use Act Parser out of Sickle Storm, Spike Chaser, and Gravity Seed? Hmm... Maybe I'm not remembering, correctly. :o Oh my goodness, those combos! Hmm... I'm not missing Mode Change as much, now that I've seen those. I love what they've done with her Drive, overall. It seems to have improved in some way, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
-
Oh, thanks! Wow, Nu looks awesome, from that first match with her. I can really see how she and Lambda are different, now. O.O
-
Was there some stream I missed? That aside, did anyone else notice that Gravity Seed stays out regardless of whether or not the opponent is on it? I can't help but wonder if, with the way the cool-down now works, if it could be used as a type of slowing wall, to further hinder the opponent's advances. And Projectile level 2 when the swords first come out? I'm not sure how I feel about that. Like, I can see people timing their Drive to intercept the projectiles of others, but I imagine that in some match ups, save for some small situations, it won't matter much, unless I'm missing something? Can she still cancel her Specials into Act Parser, by the way? In the small demonstration they released, I didn't see anything to do with that. Was it removed?
-
So, basically, they gave us Nu's Unlimited stuff, in that she can cancel into Act Parser out of any of her Specials? And on top of that, Nu now has three variations on every move? I must say, aside from their Normals and a few Drive Attacks, both Nu and Lambda are looking quite solid, and different from one another. I'm excited for this Nu new! ^_^
-
So... Can we say anything about Lambda here, since the Thread made for her is now Locked? Does anyone else notice that Nu makes the same pose as Lambda when using her new Drive attack? In fact, the trajectory of the sword seems to travel in the same course as Lambda's. I can't find a pic of it, though. Which means that J.6D isn't exclusive to Nu, or Lambda just happens to have it and all her other Sword directions are different. :o I really hope that Nu gets something more than that. I've heard that CT Nu was solid/OP, but I want more to play with than just base Nu. I want to be able to combo from a distance like Hilda from UNIB or Glacius from KI. :I

I hope that Nu gets more to play with then just a new Drive attack. -
I main Nu due to my love for both controlling the pacing of the match and making it a hassle for the opponent to do their things. Also, I enjoy that Nu can fight at close-range as well, which is something I actually enjoy. Basically, I like having a large amount of options in most any situation, and being able to come at the opponent in different ways and angles. Zoning in general is a very fun element in fighting games for me, be it Nu, Yukiko, Axl Low (Yes, I use him like a zoner. X3), and so on. If I can keep a distance and only get up close when I want to and on my terms, I'll likely enjoy the character.

I've never had a Sub that felt right in my hands. Mayhaps with Nu and Lambda now split, that can change. I wouldn't mind playing a rush-down oriented Murakumo-Unit, honestly.
-
Yeah. Also, I think Nu got a new Sprite for one of her Air Drives: http://i.imgur.com/g5dh1OU.png right over where it also shows Lambda using Calamity Sword.
-
To me, Lambda was a bit boring around EX, but solid all around. She had the right options for everything, and didn't really suffer from any holes in her gameplan. The thing is, though, CP1 Nu was a breath of fresh air, and had been given a ton of options Lambda didn't have, at the expense of losing some of that solidness in some areas. Now with them separate, however, I feel this could be an opportunity for each to gain some tools to fill those holes each side would suffer from. I'm just wondering what's going to happen to their DDs, OD, Gravity Seed, and Supra Rage, all of which, were shared between the two.

BBCP2, Celica and Lambda Hype Thread

Hmm... With that information in mind, I expect that Act Parser Zwei (Not Blade? :o) will be a bit more... free in use. Hmm... That makes me think that Lambda's Swords will also have more hit-stun than before, or that Zwei will be able to cancel into more than Calamity Sword and Grab. Now, now. Let's not be negative. I mean, who knows? They may buff Makoto and give her a 20% chance at Acorn Taunt. -
No, but strangely enough, they look a bit longer. :o Goodness, I'm loving the new color of Lambda's Drive. Nu's always looked so... meh.
-
Now that I think about it. What are they going to do with their ODs? Having two identical ones would just be a tad... disappointing. That aside, OH MY GOODNESS, they did it! They separated them! I'm not really sure how I feel about this. I mean, Mode Change wasn't exactly my strong suit, so I won't miss it much, but I do know that tons of people are both used to it and loved it, so it's sad to see that group will have to choose between the two now. Hmm... I could see Nu getting some very interesting new tools from this split, however. I'd love to see something like a trap move to help control space. *Sigh* Information just doesn't come quick enough. Also, I love Lambda's portrait, but now I'm curious... Will both count in German? XD
-
I'm getting the feeling that Lambda may end up playing like Weiss from Arcana Heart. It would make sense, she'd still use swords, but in a more Rush-Down-esque fashion.
-
*Looks through Thread and sees that Celica is playable* Well, that's not too shocking. I mean, it was bound to happen at some point. :o *Looks further and sees that Lambda is playable* ... Why don't they bring back 3RD Protagonist and Shinjiro for P4AU, while they're at it? In all seriousness, I'm both hyped for this, and dumbfounded. @_@
